Hey all! 🙌 It's me again, after a hiatus I'm back in action and this time I'll be growing two plants! The strain is Green Gelato from Royal Queen Seeds and the two babies are going to be Pistachio and Matcha, two green ice creams flavors to match with the strain name! 😋 I started soaking both seeds in a glass with water for 24 hours to hydrate them (I forgot to take a photo of this!) and after that I placed them in a jiffy pellet. After some days Pistachio was the first one to show while Matcha was still being a little behind. During this I made a small mistake, instead of opening the cardboard box where I placed the seeds I left the baby plant inside so she grew a bit too much during the night... ooops! But nothing too serious (I got it fixed after moving her into a cup). Some days after Matcha appeared but it seemed she was having a small issue, it seemed like part of her shell was still stuck to her so I helped by removing it and then she started to grow normally once again. Right now I moved Pistachio to one of those red cups and I used some mycorrhizas on her! Glomus mosseae and glomus intraradices to be more precise! Next week I'll be doing the same with Matcha. 😊 I also started making a timelapse (I think it looks awful haha but it helps to see how Matcha started to recover!) Week 9 of flower. I feel this last week or two the plants really bulked up. I’ve been set back paying for this grow op and this run has really tested my patience, but this week makes up for all of that. The smell is incredible, and I’m happy to finally make it here. I’m getting a little overgrowth with the heat of the light but nothing crazy. I’m just flushing now and checking runoff ppm. Thank you to everyone staying tuned in :) we’re almost there!

These XtraKush are also finally starting to grow. It took them a while but they doubled in a week. Still a little bit pale compared to the other two strains. With a new top layer of first worm castings and then neutral organic cocopeat to combat the gnat problem and we seem to have fixed most problems. Temps are going down at night, I'm trying to fix this by keeping it warmer in the attic where the grow is. In the coming week, I'm going to train/manifold them, they are getting a bit big. I used a trim bin inside of a container to separate all the pollen and keep it contained. I'm storing it the fridge in a mason jar with some silica packets to keep it dry. I used a light bleach mixture to clean it in between harvests and fully submerge it in the container.

It has been primarily smooth sailing minus accounting for low humidity, but that doesnt appear to have bothered the plants. Finally taking some up close bud shots. I have never been much of a picture taking person (a bit of a shaky hand lol), so bare with me in future weeks.

Added some Universol Yellow to counterpart the KMPS which has high K. ORP dropped a lot, countered it with KMPS and POLY(DIMETHYLAMINE-CO-EPICHLOROHYDRIN). Discovered some Bananas on Christmas, the plant looked due anyway so no worries, wanted to chop her anyway, guess I was right with the timing and the plant showed me it is done and did a last attempt to pollinate itself, normal behaviour in my opinion, also the Bananas were blanks, didn't see any pollen. Chopped her on day 83 from sprout that's why this week only has 6 days. Values are average of the day. 12/24/18 Decided to make bubble hash with the trim and small buds from all 4 plants. The bubble hash is now drying. This plant has been a dream to grow. No problems from her at all. I even found a couple keeper phenos as well. The black magic soil and fertilizer, along with the aerated nutrient teas that these ladies were feed worked to perfection. All organic living soil is the way to go! Im not finished yet. I will update this diary soon with dry weight and a smoke report once the ladies are done drying.00000
