En general me encanto cultivar esta genética, siempre fue la primer genética que quise cultivar desde que empecé en esto y no me decepciono en lo absoluto, de una sola semilla obtuve 106 gramos de flores de gran calidad 😃 increíble para ser mi primer cosecha con semillas de bancos, ya quiero ver que resulta en la próxima cosecha ya con más experiencia y mejor equipo 🤩

Flowering started: Saturday I switched the nutrients in the reservoir to flowering specifications after installing the SCROG and giving a massive trimming. After the final lights out Saturday, 3pm which was an extended session, I switched the timers to come on again Sunday on a period of 8pm to 8am (12 hours). The photos added today are from This morning after the first 12 hour period before the first lights our for 12. *fingers crossed*

Week 8 Flower Flush flush flush 💦🚽💦🚽💦 It's extremely important to flush for at least 14 days when using synthetic nutes, or any bottled nutes in my opinion. The aim is to make her cannibalize (fade) as much as possible before she's chopped. By doing this, she's using up her stored nutrients, causing the leaves to eventually die. The better the flush the cleaner the smoke 👌💨 even when in an organic set up, the plant needs to be nicely faded before being harvested. Otherwise she's still full of nutrients. I still feel I'll be able to get an even better flush when I eventually make the switch to RO water, as my tap water holds a ppm value of approx 150. It's not too much, but 0 is always better. She was taken down on Day 57 flower, after a 16 Day flush. I didn't want to take her any further as she was quite stressed being so close to the light. So to avoid getting seeds I waited until she had a beautiful fade before giving her the chop ✂️ I always take my girls down about 30mins before the light turns on so there is minimal chlorophyll production in the plant. This is to ensure the best smell, taste and overall burn after drying and curing. A subtle but very sweet-ish tropical fruit skin kind of smell to her. Her buds are super dense and covered in trichomes. I trimmed off all fan leaves and then each branch was hung in my drying box and placed in a cool area. She was dry after 6 days and ready to be dry trimmed and jarred for curing. I'll post those pics with the harvest update! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Being Mephisto Freebies there’s not a lot of info on how these particular seeds grow. I found them low maintenance, they weren’t the thirstiest girls I’ve grown and I found quite late on they didn’t like high temperatures, caused over half of them to foxtail. That being said the trichome production was there from week 2 of flower and by the time I cut them down they were some of the greasiest plants I’ve grown to date! I left a decent amount of the sugar leaves on while trimming with the hopes it will slow the drying process by a few extra days, between 7-10 days hanging, then into jars with humidity packs to cure. It’s been a fun grow and an exciting introduction into the Mephisto brand, over the last year I’ve managed to purchase a few different strains on there Monday drops so il definitely be running some more in the future. Very huge plant … with big nuggets

Over all this was really fun to grow ! I had a good time and I learned a lot from growing this strain . The yield was pretty good got a wet weight of 412 grams ( no stems mostly just solid buds ) they smell faaaaaaannnnnnntaaaaassstic Im going to let them cure for a good bit then put in my dry weight . As i described earlier when I was checking trichs Id take little nugs away as i smoked them GG#1 tasted like disel and GG#2 tasted like disel with a hint of chocolate and berries . Overall a deffinate recommended strain to grow for anyone out there be it a beginner or pro . Id like to give a big shout out to ALL the people who come down to diarys an help me learn you guys are the bomb . Once again, this week starts where the former one ended. With the exception of all the cables you can see in the first picture. I dared to install a minimalized version of the Raspi control only controlling the self-built humidifier and one blower/fan combination. I was very pleased to see how easily the simple diffusor can hold optimum VPD as long as temperatures are high and humidity tends to fall below optimum VPD. A single 10 seconds evaporation can hold the level for about 2–3 minutes. I am not pleased to see the Monsanto blowers rather underperform. It’s impossible to reduce humidity or temperature with both running on full speed, while a lifting of the tent door will bring immediate changes. With the Raspi/Arduino success so far*, I am thinking about using old Power Mac fans which are WCM controllable and use 12 V. At least one to increase air intake, and maybe even the blowers. * It wasn’t any problem at all to have the Arduino collect CO2 and soil moisture data, so after some more cable manufacturing (aka helpless soldering), I could extend the Raspi control. I’m still uncertain about the camera module (@trelorny impressed me with his time lapse videos). I don’t want to put the hardware into the tent with its not so electronics friendly climate, already risking some rare outages of the temp/hum sensor. But the camera module cannot be placed far away. So maybe I’ll use the 3A model I own as a spare part as a camera driver. Any maybe, if it works, invest in a better camera module. Mine is generation 1. Oh, and the ladies! Gave them slightly fertilised water yesterday, and even it or the better VPD yesterday or a combination of both make me believe bud growth is a bit more visible today. The smell in the morning when I open the tent to release accumulated humidity is outstanding. They were already thirsty on day 57 again, so pure RO + a bit of tap water until it spilled out of their pot’s bottoms. Many fan leaves turning autumnally now, and the smallest Sherbet suffered a bit from over-fertilisation as I wrote. But it this stage I don’t go for leaf beauty anymore. Just another learning: Don’t use differently sized pots anymore. Hard to feed them individually this way. VPD was mostly in best range yesterday, and I have the feeling it really supports their bud growth. I added an "Evening time" option to my Raspi control that allows the humidity to sink a selected time before lights shut down. That made it possible to have humidity in best range for most of the night time too. They were even dry again on day 58 morning. Another time just water. The blowers cannot cope with the flowers’ smell anymore, and so sometimes my flat cannot hide who shares it with me. Day 60 presents me with a problem: I’ll leave on Friday for a few days. Considering the microscope pictures are not from the tops buds: Would you say it’s safe to give them another week? Problem solved on day 61. Only clean water from now on, and next week will be their last. You won’t see any new pictures for some days now. Me too … Something I wanted to share with you before I leave: I just finished to update my grow box control with a new PWM fan hat that keeps the Raspi cool, while at the same an infrared sensor can now measure real leaf and additional ambient temperature. Setup is much cleaner and more robust now, but I wish my flux would not make the solder stick to the tip of the machine instead of making it flow and stick at the tiny tiny spots I have to hit …

Day 79 - Added 7 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 7 mL of each additive. PPM is 706. Day 81- Using noticeably less water now. Checked PPM 475. In moving the plant to water, a small branch broke. Trichomes are mostly clear. Started to dry it as a tester for rest of the plant. It takes 7 days for me to dry the tester at 70F and 40RH. Not ideal temp but that is how it goes. Day 82 - Might have seen first amber trichs Day 83 - Added 10 mL of Overdrive. PPM is 430. Trichs are mostly cloudy. Hairs are 80% orange. Branches are leaning from the weight. Day 86 - Added 5 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 5 mL of each additive. PPM is 588.
