I am not happy with this strain, but I blame myself, I dried it to quick, allowed a lot of airflow in the dry closet when I should of kept the airflow as minimal as possible, slower you dry the bud, the better the result when it it comes to bud size, aesthetics, aroma, smoothness and when smoking it, the taste on your pallet will be fantastic. However I am hopeful when I bake this strain, I will be amazed 😇

She didn't come out of the stress completely. I was sure that she will stretch 🤷‍♂️ She stayed short but bushy ✌️ Other than that everything looks nice. No signs of any kind of dis balance ✌️

Fo' Twenny here back with another update! I will be updating and uploading more photos through out the week. I hope you'll ride along and give me a follow! The deets: Feeding with .2 ml/gal of RapidStart and .2 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.5 and then add .25 tsp of recharge. 8/16 - 8 days post sow. All but 2 seeds have sprouted. I was especially concerned for the Melon Gum because I only had a 2 pack and both beans were quite pale. I gently dug around in the peat pellets and found the bean with a fresh, healthy tap root! I expect she should be popping up by tomorrow evening. The other bean yet to pop is the Jenny Kush. I was gifted 5 Jenny Kush seeds, and I will wait until tomorrow to see if she sprouts a tap root before popping another one. Hopefully, I will have more luck with the next one. Successful germination in 16 of 17 photoperiod seeds. With a total of 19 of 20 if you include the 3 autoflowering cultivars running along side. They're being documented in separate diaries and will stay in the veg tent when the photoperiods are moved into the bloom room. Go check 'em out! 8/20 Update: Melon Gum has sprouted. If you're not following my Zkittlez Auto diary, you missed that I almost killed this girl on accident. Graceful me, knocked over her solo cup and she got stuck to a sticky trap. Her stem split in half and I put a piece fabric medical tape to mend her and she is actually growing and doing well regardless of her injuries. All the girls, except Jenny have sprouted and are developing. I planted a new Jenny seed 8/18 and left the original in too, just in case. So, they streched a lot, I had to bend severely. And so quick, like 5 cms in a day! They touch the light, I had no more room... I did a late FIM on 2 of them.... emergency I finally found a way to get the lamp 5 cms higher. Lukily it has stabilized but still, top of the buds are at 5 cms from light!!!! That's why I decided to drop the power at 50% and I lower the day light to 16 hours.

Die Auto Candy Bubatz ist reif für die Ernte. sie hat in der letzten heißen Woche ihre Blüten ausreifen lassen. Mit dem ersten Hochnebel des Jahres steigt auch die Schimmelanfälligkeit und somit werde ich sie heute schneiden. Der Erntebericht und weitere Fotos werden folgen. Vielen Dank an Dutch Passion, dass ich an diesem Contest teilnehmen konnte. Ich habe Einiges über Autoflowers dazugelernt, sodass mir keine mehr vollständig verschimmelt ist, was leider letztes Jahr geschehen ist. Die Bubatz riecht jetzt sehr süß, etwas minzig, würzig. Richtig super einfach war es jedoch nicht, sie durch die Schlechtwetterperiode im Sommer zu bekommen. Autoflower sind keine Selbstläufer. Ich freue mich bereits auf den ersten Genuss. Zuallererst wird ihr Duft beim Trocknen durch die Wohnung ziehen, auch bereits ein Event. --- The Auto Candy Bubatz is ready for harvest. It has allowed its flowers to mature during the last hot week. With the first high fog of the year, the susceptibility to mold also increases, so I will cut it today. The harvest report and more photos will follow. Many thanks to Dutch Passion for allowing me to participate in this contest. I learned a lot about autoflowers, so none of them got completely moldy, which unfortunately happened last year. The Bubatz now smells very sweet, a little minty, spicy. However, it wasn't really that easy to get it through the bad weather period in the summer. Autoflowers are not a sure-fire success. I'm already looking forward to enjoying them for the first time. First of all, their scent will waft through the apartment as they dry, which is an event in itself.

// Day 78 I put her inside. I know, that's cheating, but I do not care right now. The weather will be abyssymal in the next days and I do not want to keep her just in my room at the balcony door because she stinks amazing, but I can't let her stink up the apartment. And she is pretty late in flower, I really want her to work on the buds, let them thicken up and I just want to enjoy the outcome in the end. This grow is already incredibly long for an autoflower and she still needs 2-3 more weeks, when looking at her bud sites. I don't want to harvest trash buds after investing 3 to 4 months into a plant. If the weather is good again, she will be back outside. If the weather is trash with rain all day, I'll keep her in the tent. My main concern is her bud development. The sites are huge but the calyxes are just not fattening up. You can see it in the pictures, they're very airy and overall not "sexy" looking, if you know what I mean. I hope that she finishes nicely since this grow went amazing so far. She is an absolute unit and I want her to finish perfectly. Let's see how she developes in the next 14 days. With 78 days, this plant is very old, but I've seen autoflowers getting harvested after 90 days or even 100 days. So I will just keep calm for now and I try to enjoy the last 2-3 weeks of her grow life. // Day 83 She is bulking up nicely. Unfortunately, I needed to remove 1 headbud from a side stem because I saw spider mite webbing... I hate that. The other buds seem clean, in general does this strain have not many pests on it. But they managed to set up a little camp in there so I removed the whole top bud of the side branch.

Well that was a special day, it always make me sad in a way, but this time, I enjoyed the moment a lot. As I wrote in a reply to a comment, things can always be better, and they are with good decisions at the right time. These are the smallest and the biggesr plant, one seed didn't germenated and that's why I had to put a Red Gorilla. Not sure I will try a main mlinning on auto flowering strains any more.... but I think I did it wrong, first I took the one that seemed less strong for the experiment, and having 2 other plants to compete for lights. FIM is definetly a technique I will reuse if needed. It's so nice to have these genetic contrasts, colors, aromas, shapes. Many thanks for all the help you gave, precious. 19/04/2024 lower popcorn buds seems dried already! But still branches don't crack on bends. Will check again on Monday. I finally have received, lately a portable microscope, will be more ususeful next year! But this confirms that lower buds might have need more maturity but did the choice to not over complicate by harvesting in 2 times, my indoor tent is also my drying tent, and I wouldn't have any other place to dry the upper buds separetly while allowing the remaining to harvvest with more maturity. In general I think I might have began the Final part too early. BTW, we smoked the popcorn bud, and it's very promissing, we liked it.

I had a lot of trouble managing the humidity in the growth room this winter but I managed to see 20 cuttings in root with perseverance. I made a selection at the start and kept 16 cuttings.
