Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Well, this week has been eventful. What started with a fly deciding to lay eggs in my buckets with larvae swimming around and chilling on my roots turned into a bit of a disaster. I used very weak H2O2 (diluted 3% solution). To try and clean infestation, the roots didn’t like it, even though the actual concentration of H2O2 was probs less than 0.25%. Lesson learned 🙃 It has given some of them a touch of root rot (this is an assumption because I can’t figure out what else it could have been). So growth has stunted a lot. Just before the bug problem, I increased EC to 1.1, this was probably another mistake, the smaller girls at the back with a smaller root mass got massive lock out, potassium, mag and calcium by the looks of it, coupled with a few not so well timed PH swings out of the 5.5-6.5 range gave me a lot to combat this week. But, life goes on, they’re still alive (just about)... As this is probably the hardest curve ball I’ve had thrown at me since I started growing canna, I have cut back the EC to 0.56 to allow them to heal. Probably wrongly decided to top them all as they were growing past 7th node, either it’s gonna pay off, or I’ll be posting harvest details of 0g by this time next week 👽 I am on a stay at home holiday from work for the next 3 weeks, so looks like my babies are staying in the ICU and I’ll do my best to bring them back to life 😊

Flowering Week 6 – Fading Leaves, Persistent Flies The sixth week of flowering brought a mix of progress and persistent problems. The whitefly issue unfortunately hasn’t gone away. I replaced both yellow sticky traps at the end of the week, and within minutes, two new whiteflies were already spotted on the fresh left trap. The old one had four additional flies on the back. This pest pressure remains a concern, but I’ve decided to hold off on further neem oil sprays for now, given how far along we are in flowering. I’ll keep monitoring closely. Nutrient-wise, I stayed cautious this week due to ongoing signs of overfeeding. Leaf tips are still showing yellowing and some burn, especially on the lower leaves. Many leaves have pronounced yellow spots and curled tips — a clear sign of excess nutrients earlier on. To reduce stress, I watered with plain pH-adjusted water (5.5–6.0). Total watering volume was approximately 29 liters This week I also did a second round of lollipopping, focusing on removing all small popcorn buds and lower growth under the net that wouldn’t develop well. Despite the nutrient stress and the ongoing whitefly presence, the plants are still developing well. Buds are getting chunkier, trichome production is visibly increasing, and the overall structure is solid. Still, I’ll be keeping a close eye on both leaf health and pest activity in the coming days. ⸻ TL;DR – Week 6: • New whiteflies still showing up – 7 total seen this week. Both sticky traps replaced. • Additional lollipopping done: removed popcorn buds and shaded growth under SCROG. • Leaf symptoms (tip burn, spotting) persist – watered with plain pH water, once with half HESI dose. • Watered 3x this week: 9.5 L (pH only) • Light stayed at intensity level 7

27/02/19 - This one is great, I popped the seed 24hrs after the gelato and this one seems to be developing its leaves a lot faster than the rest, so far really happy with DNA and with mills nutrients, it’s a lot easier to mix and I no longer have to use ph down because once all mixed it’s at a 5.8/5.9. 👌🏻 02/03/19 - Just transplanted all into their final pot, just in time I think as it looked like the roots were starting to circle at the bottoms of the pot, sprinkled half a tea spoon of Mykos on each hole prior to the transplant & fed them 2.5 litres each. I was going to saturate the whole pot but I’ll do that next feeding.

Day 92. Yellowing not spreading , girls drink and pray all journey long, so conclusion - molasses was the issue. Still watering with ph 6.2-6.4 lower than my beloved 6.5. Hopefully i will feed them 2-3 times more and then flush. Only one Cheese left without brown pistils so i am max 4 weeks away from harvest by all look. Was thinking to do defoliation session , but i trimed them so hard on first during flower, plus bugs, later sulphur deficiency, so they are not fit in my mind for any stress. Skunks looks more mature, lower buds still packing on both strains. One Skunk (lowest amount of big colas) is one of fast runners, all in crystals already, looks like Christmas tree after good snow ;)) Happy Growing !!!

6.12.25. 6th week flower started on 6.9. Gorilla zkittles still looking like a Frankenstein after being stunted by tying her down and being way stressed out! Still growing away though putting on bud but this is the smallest plant i have ever grown! Little disappointing but can’t wait for next grow! I’ll never stop growing been going strong for 15 years! I need Hydroguard but it’s hard to get it. I imported all of my nutrients from Aussie but they dont have Hydroguard. Anyways, i removed my scrog net due uneven light coverage. Ill harvest the top buds first then let lower buds grow for extra 2 weeks. After harvesting, 15 clones are waiting to be transferred in. They’ll be in coco this time.

Week 6 (Feb 8 - Feb 14) Tea Time! This week we introduced our plants to compost tea, made from 1 teaspoon of Roots Organics Bio-Force by Aurora Innovations. There was either a water leak from the humidifier, or way too much humidity in the tent, because the floor was covered in a water. Had to vacate the whole tent, which gave me an opportunity to arrange the plants just where I want them to get ready for the SCROG net in a few weeks.

This week they climbed about 7 inches. I’m in love with these girls. They’re a lot of fun to watch. They’re so uniform and wholesome I can’t stop staring at them. I just watered yesterday with just 6.3 ph water. I realized I was using too much veg fert. so I kept that out of my feeding for this week. I thought it said tbs instead of tsp so I was using way too much. They seem happy though so I think I’m ok. Other than that, I’m excited to see how much they grow this week.
