31 Aug. I start the third week of my autoflower. The plant is growing well, but I noticed small yellow spots on the leaf tips, which seem like a mild calcium deficiency. This is probably due to the fact that so far I have been giving water with a slightly low pH, around 6, while the ideal range would be 6.5–7. At the beginning, to lower the ppm of the tap water (which was around 211 ppm), I mixed it with demineralized water. This brought the ppm down to about 109–140, making it harder for the plant to absorb the available calcium. Additionally, the soil I am using, Biobizz Light Mix, is lightly fertilized but does not contain enough calcium to correct this small initial deficiency. For this week, I will not add any fertilizers. I simply want to raise the pH to 6.5 and use water with higher ppm, so the plant can better absorb the nutrients already present in the soil. The lamp is positioned about 35–36 cm from the plant and so far there are no burn issues. Temperatures range between 25 and 30 °C depending on the day, while humidity in the room stays between 40–60%. The humidifier is always on because I keep the window open, but the dehumidifier is not being used, as it is not necessary at the moment. I also have a new oscillating fan arriving to replace the current fixed one, and I’m waiting for a regulable extractor (90–145 m³/h), which will allow me to control the air perfectly during winter if needed. This week my main goals are: Increase the water ppm without overdoing it Adjust the pH to 6.5 Keep observing the plant without adding any fertilizers Everything else seems fine and growth is regular. With these corrections, I expect the new leaves to grow healthy and free of spots. ==UPDATE 31/08== To control the calcium deficiency, I will administer an eggshell solution until I reach 300 ppm (I will boil some eggshells and administer the solution in tap water). ==Update 4 Sept== By mistake, I adjusted the pH twice, once to 7 and once to 8, and obviously the plant immediately showed symptoms of incorrect pH. At the next watering, I'll give Biobizz Grow with a little Biobizz Bloom since the plant has entered pre-flowering. I'll adjust everything to a pH of 6-7 and a ppm of 450-500.

Once the connectivity issues are ironed out, the Mars Hydro inline fan will be operational, enhancing nighttime dehumidification, a critical aspect of maintaining plant health by preventing excess moisture and the issues it can bring. This will round out the environmental controls, making them as meticulous during the night as they are throughout the day. The Epic Buzz plants are set to continue their vegetative journey in an almost perfectly controlled environment, thanks to the thoughtful and precise adjustments made around the garden. Day 29 Magnesium and calcium issue seem sorted. Last night I topped the PotG and took cuts from the bottom node. Each one now has 3 nodes/ 6 branches. Punch Line was topped days ago but i also took cuts from those. It was a little early for taking cuts but I need to get things moving here and I took two from each so at least one will make it from each. They’re all looking much more green and healthy than they were before. I’m gonna gone down tonight’s feed tho. I’m not entirely sure on plans for flower. Hopefully within the next 7-14 days. Keeping things under the FCE4800 for flower. Probably will flower the Punch line in my normal flower room as all 8 would be a bit tight. Raising light and dimming to 70% or so to encourage a bit of vertical growth. That additional UV in veg is going to cause some tighter nodes - wish you could toggle it on or off. Still rather have it all grow then none at all. All growth has been consistent from all 5 PotG Punch line was bigger at first but now because of smaller containers the PotG is easily taken over in size. Not much distinction between plants at this point. Some have a bit fatter leaves than others 1 is a bit taller out of the medium where as the others are closer to it than I’d prefer but that’s why I’m encouraging some stretch here. Day 35 update - tomorrow will have new week update but real quick.. Astounding growth this week ! PunchLine male found and putting him outside to initiate reproductive stages and get me some pollen to harvest. They are growing healthy. They all recovered from the issues, but they are all small.. They are drinking a lot lately, I've been struggling to keep the temperature below 27/28°. The only plant who didn't had any agressive movimentation, handling, whatever, has 90 cm, huge.

I think I solved the BJ issue. I think they are heavy feeders and have since been blasting them with 1900-2100 ppm and they havent quite gained all their green back but are on their way to it. Cz cakes are all kicking ass. Nugs are starting to fill in and connect where they previously ddnt. Trichomes are going nuts. Super juiced on that. Smell is starting to leak into the hallway. :)) No real concerns at the moment aside from feed the fuck out of the bjs. 3 wks left (including this week) for the Cz cakes. 4-5 wks left (including this week) for the BJ. Crazy how the BJ colas are looking only half way through their flower period.

I have been using LST in the form of a fan on medium speed to try and strengthen the main stalk of the plant as well as planter rotation to strengthen the main stalk for tie down LST. So far I've been impressed with the rate of growth and the overall experiment. For what it's worth, the growth wth is very very similar to a hydroponics growth. I'm sure as the experiment continues I'll notice some big differences. It does appear to have either a minor potassium deficiency or a little too much nitrogen. Will monitor and update as needed. The above signs may have been trying to indicate the main stalk was weakening from too much weight from vertical grow rate. This would ultimately lead to a fractured stalk. Is this what happened or is it a fungus or disease problem? Plant C sprouted within 48hrs and will be 6 days behind Plant A. End goal of harvest is still 360g from the two plants combined. Both plants are looking very happy regardless of the toxicity or deficiency. Strong strain nonetheless.

This plant was a pleasure to grow, with cola buds dense and encrusted, and a problem free first grow. Seem to have gotten an OG dominant pheno with nice gelato hints of flavor and color; the citrus zest may or may not come out in the finished product, for me it is faint. Hope to grow this strain again in the future, definitely head-stash potential so my remaining steeds will be going in the vault. I let it hang dry a bit too long, but they’re currently a week into the cure at about 59% RH. My next grow will probably be the same set up, but improving on it with the experience I’ve gained through this process. I hit my 10 Oz total yield goal I’m pretty satisfied with my techniques and strain choice. Get this strain if you want an easy, high potency indica with impressive yields and good flavor. I’ll also be dry sifting the (tons of) sugar covered trim from both of the plants to press into resin, so I encourage y’all to take advantage of all that the plant provides. Cheers
