White widow has finished at 64 days. Great plant with a stress free final week. She was on just water this week and was left to dry out for the last 3 days before the chop She's only in a 3l pot of light mix that is only holding probably 2.5l so all in all I'm very happy with her wet weight. I don't see there being too much loss on this one as she drys out as her buds are rock hard dense and leaf mass is at a minimum. Back in 10 days of 18c and 50%. Thanks for looking.

My Rainbow Melon plant has been a powerhouse from day one! It's always been one of the fastest and strongest growers in the tent. For a while, it was the undisputed champion in terms of size, and it's still neck and neck for second place. This plant is just bursting with vigor, and I'm super excited to see what kind of yield I get from it. It's got that classic Rainbow Melon aroma – sweet and fruity with a hint of earthiness. It's gonna be a good one! This past week has been a whirlwind of work, leaving little time for anything else. My phone's camera roll is sadly neglected, with only a few snapshots to show for it. But finally, I'm finding a moment to catch up on my grow diaries. It's been exciting to see the progress, even if it's just through photos. I'm looking forward to documenting the next stage!

26.04.21 so Woche nummer 6 hat begonnen und ich habe heute an gelato #1 und #2 ein paar Blätter entfernt und die Pflanze gelato #1 ein wenig auseinander gespreitzt so das die buds ein wenig mehr Luft bekommen morgen nehm ich mir dann die anderen beiden vor, ein paar Blätter weg für mehr Luft Ach ja und unterm netzt hab ich heute noch die vergilbten und vertrocknet Blätter entfernt war auch ne gute hand voll aber is ja eh nur unnötiger Ballast für die pflänzchen und zum Geruch kann ich nur sagen der limoncello Duft der anfangs da war ist nicht mehr so kräftig dafür erinnert mich der Geruch an eine berühmte eismarke Ben &...... Und zwar 1 zu 1 cookies&cream 😂😂😂 was mich natürlich heute dazu animierte gleich nen becher zu kaufen..... 27.04.21 hab es heute zeitlich leider nicht geschafft gelato 41 #3 und #4 leicht zu entblättern und ein wenig auseinander zu ziehen um den buds Luft zu machen, hab das jetzt auf morgen verlegt, dafür ist mir aber aufgefallen das gelato 41 #2 anfängt ihre stigmas zu Karamell Farbe zu wechseln😵😵😵😵 Sie ist viel früher dran als die anderen und ich habe nur mein anbau Zelt zum trocknen ich hoffe das die anderen auch langsam hinter her ziehen das sie alle zeitgleich fertig werden sonnst is die eine sicherlich drüber übern Zeitplan beim Schnitt und mehr amber als die anderen von den trichomen her naja muss ich wohl durch..... 28.04.21 so heute hab ich es geschafft gelato 41 #3 & #4 ein wenig von blättern zu befreien damit auch die buds mehr Luft haben war auch ca 1 1/2 Hände voll Blatt Werk bin soweit zufrieden fürs erste.... 29.04.21 heute war nix los im Zelt hab den Pflanzen beim wachsen zu geschaut und mal die ganzen buds begutachtet ob irgendwas an Krankheiten oder schimmel anwesend ist aber war nix da läuft würde ich sagen die ganze arbeit zählt sich aus denke ich mal Ach ja und unter den Töpfen im video das ist mein buddy sein name ist barney und er wollte auch mal hallo sagen normaler weise darf er nicht ins Zelt aber heute war ich nicht aufmerksam genug sonnst sitzt er immer ganz brav mit seiner Freundin vor dem Zelt wenn es auf ist und begutachtet alles von aussen obwohl die beiden manchmal eher so wirken als würden sie gucken das ich ja nix verkehrt mache.... 30.04.21 heute stand nix an, hab das Gras schon fast wachsen gehört so gut finde ich den Fortschritt. Die Rechte Seite meines Zeltes sind die buds eher kürzer dafür aber mächtig fett und die linke Seite naja die ist eher länglich aber auch fett vom Umfang her nur länger, dafür is die rechte seite mehr kompakt und die linke Seite baut grad erst die dichte auf is aber auch schon gut fest.... 01.05.21 heute war mal wieder giessen dran 4,5 L für alle 4 Ladys wollte heute eigendlich noch mal von unter dem netz an die Blätter ran und ein paar entfernen hab es aber mal wieder nicht gepackt zeitlich werd ich also morgen machen..... 02.05.21 hab es heute Geschafft wieder ein paar Blätter zu entfernen dabei sind mir diese hässlichen goldfarbenen Blätter aufgefallen heut morgen war es noch ganz wenig und 12 Std später is fast alles an dem einem bud befallen werde morgen die Ladys mal durch spülen mit Ph 6,5 und schauen was passiert. Hab extra drauf geachtet heute Temperatur im Zelt war heute genau 24, 8 in der Nähe des buds bemessen rh liegt tagsüber bei 47% nachts bei 57% und die Nacht Temperatur liegt bei 16,9.....

Can't wait for each of them to finish out. Giving them hopefully their full amount of water, less with the auto as it was stunted by the 12/12.

July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome. Starting force flowering this evening. Will put plant in dark garage for 12 h darkness for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. Already started flowering, but I really want to force it along to improve bud quality by having the buds ripen under stronger sun. In dark garage by 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then out at 7 am. The far red light is a bloom booster because it initiates dark mode 2 h faster and is like getting a 26 h day. So, 10 h in garage plus 2 h from far red light is 12 h darkness and 14 h of daylight. Rock on. July 21: obvious stretch from overnight in the hot garage. Recorded as 14 h daylight with overnight temp listed as 24 C but it was easily 30 C when going into garage. Hot and smoky. Anyway, lots of misting and watering and seems to be doing great. Addded bloom nutes in top dressing at end of last week. July 22: still too hot but she’s still managing to grow. Now up to 40”. July 25: now 44” so four inches in three days. July 26: notably large stretch overnight probably grew another inch. This Blueberry Pie was always neck and neck with my other photoperiod, but she is pulling ahead in height now that flowering is starting. So far so good. Windy today and the plant was catching too much. Defoliated fan leaves in the middle so it’s not so much of a sail. Don’t really want o be removing fan leaves, but was best option. Harter ritt diese Dame , alles viel zu schwer das es gleich umknickte beim defolieren . Hab mal ein getrockneten Bud aus der mitte genommen und Trichom analyse (Videos und Bilder) gemacht . ja viel klar wenig milchig und einige rot . Ergo , zuviel Licht an der Spitze (abstand zum licht viel zu gering) und im Boden zu kalt ist keine gute Kombination .

Not much to do now but watch the pH and PPM and wait. It looks beautiful. The growing structure of the buds is really interesting, it has like four calyxes with pistils coming out of the top of a lot of buds in a really distinctive way. It's super, super frosty too. The GG#4 genetics are already showing. Interesting smell, hard to describe. Still relatively mild, at least in the grow tent with the filter running. There's some burning on the leaves, yellowing at the edges. I think I got a bit complacent about checking on it this week since it's been so easy. I also think I should have pruned some of the smaller branches, even just for my own enjoyment of the aesthetics on top of the benefits for airflow and nutrient use. I'll probably do that this week. Then 2 weeks to harvest! I'm impressed with this strain so far, as well as very impressed with the DWC method VS soil or coco but still have a soft spot for organic soil. If I can find a veganic hydroponic nutrient mix I'll be stoked.

Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.
