SUMMARY: The OG has grown so much these last couple of weeks and now towers over the Amnesia like a giant. It is really starting to flower now too which is good because looking at how slowly the Amnesia is growing over the last 2 weeks I really can't see me getting the 1.5-2oz yield I was hoping for come harvest. Both plants doing fine and coming along ok. OG now drinking 5L every 48hrs and the Amnesia drinking 3.5L (though I'm still giving 4L). I switched up to the GWE updated mid bloom nutes for the OG towards the end of the week and continued with the Sensi Garden peak flowering nutes for the Amnesia this week. I continued with some light defoliation this week removing the odd lower leaf and some fan leaves covering bud sites that I couldn't tuck. DAY 72 -------- Friday 13/11/2020 I fed the plants, updated GWE early bloom nutes for OG and sensi garden peak flower nutes for Amnesia. OG (in) = 5L pH 6.5 OG (out) = 1.3L (26%) pH 5.6 [0.9 drop] Amnesia (in) = 4L pH 6.5 Amnesia (out) = 1.5L (38%) pH 5.7 [0.8 drop] The OG is really starting to flower now especially at the top where it is very close to the light. I'll be very surprised if it doesn't suffer light burn but nothing I can do as the light is as high as it can go. The pH of the medium is slowly rising for both and both plants are looking healthy with no leaves dying off or yellowing. I bought a USB microscope and checked the trichs out, all clear from what I can see which is great because I really want to push this for another 4 weeks if possible (15 weeks total) to give the OG a chance to bloom. I like a good couch lock so providing I can keep the plants alive and keep the humidity low enough to avoid bud rot I think it might just be possible. DAY 74 -------- Sunday 15/11/2020 I fed both plants, GWE updated schedule Mid-Blom nutes for the OG and some more Sensi Garden Peak Flower nutes for the Amnesia. The humidity has been steady at around 48-55% the last few days which is odd as we have had a lot of wet weather. I have removed around 15-20 leaves (total - only 2-4 removed from Amnesia) from both plants over the last week so perhaps that has helped with reducing the humidity a little as it usually sits around 60-65%. OG (in) = 5L pH 6.5 OG (out) = 1.25L (25%) pH 5.5 [1.0 drop] Amnesia (in) = 4L pH 6.5 Amnesia (out) = 1.5L (38%) pH 5.8 [0.7 drop] DAY 75 -------- Monday 16/11/2020 I mixed 5L of GWE updated schedule mid-bloom nutes for the OG and 4L of Sensi Garden peak flower nutes for the Amnesia. Both made with rainwater both pH'd to 6.4. I am feeling concerned about the runoff pH still not rising to 6.0 yet, perhaps I'm being impatient but it has been 16 days since I started giving strictly 6.5 (01/11/2020) and I know that the plants need the pH to vary within range in order to be able to uptake all available nutrients. Whilst the pH may be in range I believe certain nutrients cannot be absorbed at a pH of 6.5 and I want to get back to being comfortable feeding the plants between 5.8 and 6.2 (a reported "sweet spot" I've read from numerous sources online). As it has been over 2 weeks of strictly 6.5 I am going to try and slowly lower by 0.1 each feed and see how they respond. In any case, both plants look healthy and are growing and flowering and not showing any signs of issues. DAY 76 -------- Tuesday 17/11/2020 I gave the plants some pH'd rainwater. I intended to give them both water at 6.5 however I didn't have time and so the Amnesia water was pH'd to 6.4. I also did some more light defoliation removing 5-6 leaves from the OG and 2-3 leaves from the Amnesia, again just to allow more light to lower bud sites. The RH has been between 48-55% the last few days but is at 60% today. The plants both look healthy with no yellowing leaves or nute burn (perhaps the tiniest bits on the odd leaves of the amnesia). OG (in) = 5L pH 6.5 OG (out) = 1.15L (23%) pH 5.4 [1.1 drop] Amnesia (in) = 4L pH 6.4 Amnesia (out) = 1.55L (39%) pH 5.8 [0.6 drop] Looking at how slowly the Amnesia is growing over the last 2 weeks I really can't see me getting the 1.5-2oz yield I was hoping for come harvest.

My OG Kush plant is from Royal Queen Seeds, and I know they sometimes get a bad rap, but I've grown their OG Kush before and it was fantastic. This pheno has some awesome leaves and just a really good structure overall. It's been a challenging week with the constant rain and ridiculously high humidity. Keeping things dry indoors has been a real struggle. Despite the weather, I managed to flip all my feminized photoperiod plants to flower this week. I'm hoping the switch will go smoothly, but with this humidity, it's going to be tough.

The ladies are doing well. Cant complain really but the hard work is yet to come. The different strains are getting bushy and the Blue Gelato #2 has the biggest canopy thus far. They all have been transplanted into 3gall pots. No strong smell even from stem rubbing but the orange Sherbet has a distinctive smell that's so citrusy. feeding has gone well this week. I may run into a pending issue when i bring out the 4x4 tent as I have been using a 2x2 for most of the veg period.Lets see what challenges week 8 brings to this run. The Vanilla Kush is taking training so well. So short and stumpy.

🌱 8×8 Adventure – Folder 10 Frosted Guava – Plant A | Week 4 | The Compact Contender Begins to Bloom Every phenotype tells its own story, and that is exactly why this 8×8 Adventure continues to fascinate me. Growing twelve different genetics under the same environment using the 12/12 From Seed technique has become a constant lesson in how differently each cultivar interprets identical conditions. Some immediately stretch toward the light, while others choose patience, investing their energy into structure before committing to vertical growth. Frosted Guava Plant A clearly belongs to the second group. Rather than racing upward, she has spent these first weeks building an incredibly dense, compact framework. Looking at her today, it’s easy to understand why this phenotype caught my attention. Every internode remains tight, every branch is stacked close together, and the entire plant carries an impressive amount of healthy foliage without sacrificing vigor. She may not be the tallest lady in the tent, but she’s quietly building what looks to become an exceptionally productive little bush. The most exciting part? Despite her compact stature, she has officially begun announcing that flowering is just around the corner. ⸻ 🌱 Building a Foundation Before the Stretch One of the things I enjoy most about documenting these grows is watching personality emerge before flowers ever appear. Frosted Guava Plant A has developed into exactly the kind of plant that rewards patience. Instead of producing long internodal spacing, she has focused on creating a dense network of future flowering sites. Looking closely, nearly every node is alive with vigorous new growth, and fresh shoots are beginning to compete for dominance. The canopy is naturally uniform, making future light penetration much easier than on taller, more open phenotypes. Sometimes growers become concerned when a plant doesn’t stretch early under 12/12, but genetics ultimately decide how that energy is distributed. In this case, the energy has clearly gone underground first into the roots, then into stem thickness, branching, and node production before committing to vertical growth. The result is a plant that already feels mature despite standing only around 25 cm tall. ⸻ ✂️ Gentle Low Stress Training Instead of aggressive manipulation, this phenotype has been guided with a much softer approach. Throughout the week I continued using simple leaf bending, leaf tucking and gentle repositioning to expose hidden growth tips. No unnecessary stress, no heavy defoliation—just encouraging light to reach every developing branch naturally. This technique has worked beautifully. Rather than removing valuable solar panels, the larger fan leaves are simply moved out of the way, allowing the lower shoots to receive enough light to become future flowering tops. Sometimes the simplest training methods are also the most effective. The goal isn’t forcing the plant into shape. The goal is helping her discover her own. ⸻ 🌸 The First Signs of Flower One of the most enjoyable moments during a 12/12 From Seed project is seeing that unmistakable transition. This week those first pre-flower structures have become impossible to ignore. Tiny clusters are beginning to form across the upper nodes, the apical growth has changed shape, and the plant is slowly shifting away from vegetative expansion toward reproductive development. She isn’t waiting. Exactly as expected with this cultivation method, Frosted Guava is entering bloom while still maintaining a beautifully compact architecture. If the coming stretch remains moderate, this could easily become one of the densest canopies inside the entire 8×8 tent. ⸻ 🌡️ Environmental Conditions This week the room remained remarkably stable despite the warm summer conditions. Grow Environment • 🌡️ Day Temperature: 33°C • 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% • 🌱 Substrate Temperature: 21°C • 💦 Nutrient Solution Temperature: 26°C • ⚡ EC: 1.35 mS/cm • ⚗️ pH: 6.1 • ☁️ CO₂: 639 ppm • 💧 Daily Water Consumption: 1.1 L • ? Pot Size: 15 L • ☀️ Light Schedule: 12/12 Although daytime temperatures continue to push higher than ideal, the plants have responded exceptionally well. Healthy leaf posture, rich coloration, vigorous growth and strong transpiration all suggest that root-zone conditions remain stable enough to offset the environmental heat. Sometimes plants tell you far more than any environmental sensor can. And these leaves are telling me they’re happy. ⸻ Feeding Program The nutrition program remained intentionally balanced to support both continued vegetative development and the beginning of flower initiation. This week’s recipe consisted of: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L • pH Plus — 0.03 ml/L • Lemon Kick — 0.03 ml/L With an EC of 1.35, the feeding remains moderate while supplying everything needed to sustain healthy growth without pushing the plant harder than necessary. The rich green foliage suggests the balance is right where it should be. ⸻ 🔬 Phenotype Notes Looking over this week’s photographs, several characteristics stand out. The stem has thickened noticeably and provides an excellent foundation for future flower weight. Branch spacing remains extremely tight, giving the plant a naturally bushy appearance without requiring topping or more invasive training. The new growth is vibrant, healthy and full of energy, while the canopy remains surprisingly symmetrical despite only using leaf tucking. Perhaps the most interesting observation is just how many future flowering sites are already visible. Nearly every branch tip appears ready to contribute to the final canopy. She may not be trying to become the biggest plant. She may simply be trying to become one of the fullest. Sometimes that’s an even better strategy. ⸻ 🔮 Looking Ahead The coming week should be one of the most exciting yet. With flowering now beginning, I expect Frosted Guava Plant A to enter her stretch phase while continuing to produce additional flowering sites throughout the canopy. Training will remain gentle, focusing on canopy management rather than forcing structure. If she maintains this compact architecture while adding vertical growth, she could develop into one of the easiest plants in the room to manage. Every day she becomes a little more confident. German version below. This week was all about training for The Tropical Ice Cream One. After having great success with a second SCROG net on our Permanent Marker, we decided to use the same approach for this grow. We picked up a new SCROG system at Mary Jane, and this week it finally got its first real job. Setting up the net was the easy part. The real work started afterwards. Branch by branch, we carefully tucked every shoot into the second net and repositioned it. Our goal was to create an even canopy so every future bud site receives as much light as possible and can develop to its full potential. It took several hours of patience, but the result was definitely worth the effort. The height difference across the entire canopy is currently only 2 centimeters. That is exactly what we aim for when building an even SCROG canopy. Now it is time to keep our hands off and let her do the rest. She handled the training exceptionally well and can now settle into her new shape over the next few days. We are excited to see how the second SCROG net will influence flower development and yield during the coming weeks. After all the stress from the training session, she was rewarded with an extra serving of Bio Heaven and Acti Vera as a little treat. 😁 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Diese Woche stand bei der The Tropical Ice Cream One ganz im Zeichen des Trainings. Nachdem wir mit der Permanent Marker sehr gute Erfahrungen mit einem zweiten SCROG Netz gemacht haben, wollten wir dieses Konzept auch bei dieser Pflanze umsetzen. Auf der Mary Jane haben wir uns dafür ein neues SCROG System gegönnt, das nun endlich zum Einsatz kam.Der Aufbau war schnell erledigt, die eigentliche Arbeit begann aber erst danach. Trieb für Trieb wurde vorsichtig in das zweite Netz eingefädelt und neu ausgerichtet. Ziel war es, eine möglichst gleichmäßige Verteilung der zukünftigen Blüten zu erreichen, damit jede ausreichend Licht bekommt und sich optimal entwickeln kann.Das hat einige Stunden Geduld gekostet, aber das Ergebnis spricht für sich. Der Höhenunterschied über die gesamte Zeltfläche beträgt aktuell gerade einmal zwei Zentimeter. Genau so stellen wir uns ein gleichmäßig trainiertes Blütendach vor. Jetzt heißt es erstmal Finger weg und wachsen lassen. Die Pflanze hat das Training hervorragend mitgemacht und darf sich in den nächsten Tagen in ihrer neuen Form entfalten. Wir sind gespannt, wie sich das zusätzliche SCROG Netz in den kommenden Blütewochen auf Ertrag und Blütenentwicklung auswirken wird. Nach dem Stress des Trainings hat sie eine extra Portion Bio Heaven und Activera als kleines "Leckerlie" bekommen. 😁

09/06/2025, start of week 4, a bit annoyed with myself for overwatering as it's set me back by a few days at least but she's not looking too bad and can hopefully achieve a good stretch now she's showing some preflowers.

Early week 6 update (i'll add more pictures and comments as needed): Unfortunately I hit some challenges! Light got way too close and stunted growth for a day. I noticed it on tips closest to the light only. Raised lamp to 22 inches. Indica bagseed (plant in the center front) got too stacked: stuff like leaves on top of each other with lots of moisture, no light/airflow penetration, etc. I did some basic LST, leaf tucking, net tucking, to open her up and go sideways more a bit at first. It helped a bit. Unfortunately aug 27, had to get more aggressive on this beast and remove 3 shade leaves on the right side. not happy about defoliating, but had to do it. Will see how she takes it and then look at left side on a later day. Growing the first time is educational and actually therapeutic in today's world for me. I've already learned so many lessons for the net time: don't need such a yuge pot, lamp brightness/distance, air circulation!!! Thank you to everyone that responds with positive encouragement/messaging, it really helps. Adding two more fans to help air circulation aug 28. hopefully it reduces the need to desecrate the plants! Meanwhile the plants in back (purple canyon) want to stretch their faces off, esp. the one in back left, so it is a balance. I only have so much vertical height :) aug 29, flipped to 12/12. plants are happy and i want to control the space for first grow. let's see how it goes. updated the humidity for the week to ~ 60. Ida etc has made it miserable, it should get better soon.

So folks, here are the final results: R01: 81.9g R03: 86.75g Total Dry Weight: 168.65g ( 2 Plants | 15L Pot | 100x50 Tent | 180w Light ) As you know, I did a partial wet trimming before drying to make it in time for the contest deadline. I haven’t had the time yet to give them a perfect final trim, but I’ll try to pick out the best ones and share a few pics here soon. And here we are at the harvest of our second Jet Fuel, a beauty with a jaunty look, flowers with large calyxes, gassy smell is Jet Fuel by Zamnesia. ** Remember that for all the strains we have at least two plants, one left to grow straight and one worked with the techniques. This is the plant left to grow without the use of techniques to see the other go to the previous week. The trichomes said cut me: it is a sativa predominance of leather we want to preserve the energizing effect. So guys not too much amber on the sativas I recommend otherwise you transform them into indicas. I see enough at least for my tastes and with respect to the strain, always evaluate not only based on your tastes based on the strain. Don't let the amber rule influence you too much we like to talk about harvest window and therefore we have mostly milky / coudy, some transparent and a good amount of amber as well. Technique used // This plant was left to grow free and beautiful with some cleaning at the bottom and some leaves but at the right time. Better with techniques or normal? This time we have two phenotypes similar in appearance and different in terpene profile, the plant left to grow straight seems to be a little better but they are really very similar. Flower quality // From one to 10 stars 9. The plant has resined very well on all sides, it is quite mature, I am satisfied with the color and I harvest it. Buds washed and cleaned as Lukas explains very well on the Zamnesia website, go and read and study the topics in depth, often it is necessary not to act superficially guys! 3/4 👍 3/5🍓🦍Z🍓🍑CBD they are all responding well to the watering yesterday and I used great white soil inoculant that seems to make the biggest difference. The leaves are growing huge almost too big. I can see these are going to be much larger than the space, even though I only used 2 gallon pots. i’m going to have to top them all in order to fit them in one tent. They are just beautiful and healthy and perfect in every way except for the CBD because I dropped her when I was doing the transplant. 👍. 3/6 I mixed up 3 mL of silica into a gallon three separate times. I did a heavy watering of all the plants today.💦 3/7🍓🍑👍 3/9 🍓🍑💦💦💦 3/10🍑🍓👍

This was my very first grow ever, so it's hard for me to judge how it went, but I definitely think I made a few mistakes along the way. I didn't feed her much, and I probably ran into some pH issues too. The roots eventually reached the bottom reservoir, and I kept topping it up with unpHed tap water, so she kind of ended up transitioning into a semi-hydro setup without me really planning for it. I only had an airstone in the reservoir that was turning on/off every 15 minutes. I harvested her on day 97 and dried her in the same tent at around 60% humidity. Unfortunately, I had no way to bring the temperature down to around 15°C, it stayed between 21–24°C the whole time. After about 10 days, she was already dry. I could still smell a bit of that fresh-cut grass scent, so I'm guessing I may have lost some terps during drying. I trimmed her as best as I could, and the final dry weight came out to 138 grams. She’s curing now in glass jars, and I added a small humidity meter inside. So far it’s holding steady at 62%.
