WEEK 8 (04/18/2021 - 04/24/2021) Day 59: 04/18/2021 Defoliated some growth from each plant before I installed my custom-built SCRoG net made of: pvc piping, drywall screws, and jute twine for the netting. It’s slightly smaller than the tent, 41”x41” with a second level for another net. It fits perfectly, leaving plenty of room to work around the edges and move the fan around if needed. Immediately after defoliation and installing the net, I watered using ½ strength Botanicare Hydroguard. Watering was different. I used a battery-powered liquid transfer pump to help water the plants a little faster and more efficiently. Also helps to reach the plants I can’t access as easily in the corner. I am unable to test/collect any of the runoff at the moment since installing the net, which wouldn’t be an issue by itself, but my saucers are just barely large enough to fit the base of the 5 gallon pots into. I have no way of sticking a pH pen or TDS meter in the runoff. They simply won't fit between the pot and the saucer. This is extremely unfortunate, as I am now unable to monitor the ppm of the soil with each watering. Will have to pick up some larger saucers soon or think of another solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 61: 04/20/2021 ‘Tis the season to be medicated. Happy Holidaze! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62: 04/21/2021 Upping the amount of water going into the pots this watering. Previously I was doing 1 gallon of water per 5 gallon pot. I’m increasing the amount of water to 1.5 gallons. Hopefully that will produce enough runoff for taking measurements. It’s going to be a painfully difficult task to take readings but I really need to know what the condition of the soil is right now. Will not be using any nutrients this time considering the runoff was kind of high when I fed on 4/10. This seems a little risky though since it has been 11 days since a nutrient feed, but I’d rather not burn the plants by blindly adding nutrients. Will return. Hopefully with measurements. (some amount of time later) Tap water: 245ppm, 6.1 pH (9 gallons) pH Down: 30ml JB#1 - 2730ppm, 7.0 pH JB#2 - 2290ppm, (pH pen died again on this plant) AP#1 - 2380ppm, 6.9 pH AP#2 - 3610ppm (seems extremely high), 7.0 pH GC#1 - 2320ppm, 6.9 pH GC#2 - 2340ppm, 7.1 pH I don’t know what was up with the measurements on the AP#2. The saucers the pots are sitting in are a little small so I think the ppm might have been reading high because the bottom of the fabric pot was sitting in the runoff. Maybe I’m just saying that to reassure myself. Either way, the 3000+ ppm seemed very off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 66: 04/24/2021 Defoliation + weaving/securing branches through SCRoG. I'm not 100% sure that the SCRoG was the most optimal technique of choice given the very limited space within the grow tent. Also, I almost feel like I installed the screen a little late. Maybe not? Either way, I have read about them and the potential of increased yields, which got me excited enough to build one to try out for myself. I was aware going into it that there would be some difficulties using a SCRoG. I can no longer move my pots around is the main thing. Not being able to move the pots around has increased the difficulty factor of watering/feeding. I now have to access 3 different sides of the tent to get all 6 plants. I've clipped all the ties holding the branches down from previous LST sessions. There was just no way I was going to spend hours weaving in and out of all the ties trying to water each plant while also dealing with the difficulties of a SCRoG obstructing the work space. That would also wreck my poor back. From here, things are going to get real exciting. Tomorrow (04/25) I am rescheduling the light cycle to 12/12 to initiate flowering. Another 60-70 days to go, growing buds and packing on trichomes. With that said, I'm excited to have made it through my very first full vegetative cycle. I've definitely made my fair share of mistakes, as expected, but as long as I keep learning from them future harvest will only continue to increase in quality and yield. G13 is starting to stack. She is growing good in the Athena blended line nutrition, under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. I am running a little strong on my solution mix. I will likely do a change in next few days if it keeps showing me signs of too much. It does look like it is getting better though. The plant is just getting bigger, and using it. Sounds like an epic strain and I personally cannot wait for this lady to strut her stuff!😍 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the Papaya Sherbet photoperiod indoors as our weather is still a bit too chilly to put a newly sprouted seedling outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 40's℉). The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures are in the mid 50's℉, which shouldn't be long. After which, she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes, and slow release dry amendments from Gaia Green. Once she's established herself outside she'll be given periodic top dressings of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with worm castings and Compost Tea's. Her grow area is approx. 5'x5' and I have posts and a trellis net set up already for when she gets bigger to aid in training her. Let the fun begin!🤪💚 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 5/7- Here we go with the new addition to the FastBuds family, Papaya Sherbert fem photo. I placed one seed in a glass of lukewarm tap water (non-chlorinated well water). Within 24hrs there was a root beginning to show coming out of the seed. I then placed the seed between two moistened paper towels that I then put in a vented plastic container. I put the container in a dresser drawer where it would be warm and dark. 5/9- When I checked on the seed yesterday, there was a substantial root about 1/2" long coming from the seed. I then planted the seed, root first with just the seed head exposed, in a 2" starter pot filled with peat that I pre-moistened with 6.5ph well water. I placed the starter pot in the bottom of a Solo Cup that I had cut in half. I then placed a clear Solo Cup over it to act as a humidome and placed it under the lights in the grow room. Today the little Papaya Sherbert showed her pretty little self and so begins this journey together with her! 5/12- Two days ago the Papaya Sherbet sprouted her first true leaves and today she's really showing some vigor and some impressive growth! Today I went ahead and transplanted her for the first time into a 2qt pot filled with pre-amended coco/perlite. Before placing the Papaya Sherbet into her new home I coated the hole with Xtreme Gardening MYCOS, then placed the Papaya Sherbet and watered her in. 5/15- One week from breaking ground and the FastBuds Papaya Sherbet feminized photoperiod is looking fantastic and doing great with a second set of leaves now out! She's liking her bigger pot and is really beginning to take off now. I should be able to do her final transplant, which will move her outside, next week as our weather is rapidly improving... So the Cal-mag issue in AK was held back for a while, but now in week 4, its pretty clear that is the problem with her. Watered her with a full 5ml dose mixed in a 1 liter bottle, pHed to 6.8 on monday. Now im just watching the progression. Not sure i logged it, but i watered her with a quarter strength dose of the same stuff two weeks ago. No Urb this week, or Big Bloom. All other plants are doing just dandy. There's been a progression in fungus gnat appearances in both my closet space, and tent. Im planning on drying out the soil in all of my plants in both grow spaces, down to about 1 12 inch from topsoil, so i can apply some Diatomaceous Earth. Other than all that, all of my candidate plants are doing awesome! Ak began to produce a noticeable stench around saturday last weekend. Kind of reminds me of grape skittles. Sour Ripper isnt producing much of a scent yet, but she's definitely in the bud-building mode. Buds are developing at an equal rate to AK48. I can tell she's going to burst in growth in about a week or so. I've ceased ALL training as of last week on thursday. Did minor lollipopping and defoliation on all of my candidate plants needing it. The plants are pretty damn short. But thats fine as im planning to do a perpetual cycle soon - plus, ive got taller girls vegging out in my tent. Also got a Candy Cream (Seedsman) mother in there too. Stay tuned for that journal in the near future. ;) Heres to being halfway there everybody! Cheers

The plant is doing really well now. Although it isn't growing as much in height as expected, it is putting a lot of energy into flowering. Given its size, I don't expect huge yields, but I am still surprised and excited to see what comes next. Through training, I managed to make the plant wider and produce more buds, which are now clearly visible and covered in trichomes. The plant's scent has become very strong, with a sharp lemony and earthy aroma, reminiscent of a lemon soda, or even Sprite. The buds are incredibly sticky and have grown well, although the plant remains very compact. Next week, I will keep using the wooden plant stakes with wire to support the plant and continue the LST gently, but I will soon remove them. In addition to the regular fertilized watering, I am also giving tap water from the bottom, both of which are well absorbed. In the video, you can see the trichomes clearly and also get a good size comparison of the buds.

She is bursting with terpenes! I pressed a 6.6g puck and I got a 1.74g return at 220F (26%) my mold is made to hold about 15g so I suspect I lost some recovery to the filter bag. Just learning on the press but I’m getting wonderful results and returns around 25%.

Hydro will be going in the flower tent once this run is wrapped up. I’m all out of horizontal space which is limiting the goal of gaining more width. Week 6 flower wrapped up I’ll say she’s the last one showing signs of bulking now from what I’m seeing she might out up the fattest colas in the tent once complete. All n all very happy with this homemade cross from WS.

Same as there big sister, 54th day of flower.. These plants haven’t had any work done what so ever, not one leaf has been removed from the start, no folding of leaves, literally just left to flourish in there “natural” environment, and I couldn’t be more happier with what’s inbetween the “mess”😂.. buds are swollen and ❄️, stinking of 🍋.

этот сорт супер,он выдерживает все жару, холод, lst ,hst ,super cropping я делал все что мог,вывод такой что не трогайте авто сорта,пусть растут себе )))) 314 г но ребята он без воды стоял больше суток в гидропонике в темноте,так что он за сутки немного подсох,так что я не могу сказать что было вчера на весах когда я я отключил гидропонику и оставил на сутки в темноте без воды, на фотке видно что листья уже упали,так что было больше! будем ждать когда высохнут 😉 ну вот ребята что вышло )) 62 сухих, вкус и запах соответствуют описанию,я не могу в точности передать вкус,но очень вкусный! это растение получило очень много стрессов,я всем советую!!!!

Welcome to the Dung Heap Ladies been splashing around in RDWC for almost 10 weeks. They are sharing space with the Frisian Ducks, so you may see guest appearances from the m time to time. These ladies are in holding until the train wreck grow in Cab A finishes out. Then I'll rip clones and toss these ladies on the flip.

It was my first time ever growing a weedplant, loved doing! Surprised me to see how fast these plants change in a day time, fascanating! Happy with the outcome for a first time, on to the next!

Week 3 begins for LSD and Green Crack. Both ladies are looking good, but had some small signs of deficiency. Added big bud coco and upped feeding another liter (split feed day 1 & day 5 of each week), hopefully this will help resolve the deficiencies. Thanks for stopping by growfessors 👽🌳💚
