Quite happy with her after 9 days from germination

Week 8 is finally here! We changed up the nutrient feeding to the week 8 on the feed chart. I am diluting everything at a 50-40% rate to keep EC within acceptable ranges of 0.8 - 1.1 EC. I started adding Terpinator to the mix and I do notice a significant smell increase vs. without it. I am going to keep using this as I think it is a great supplement. I did figure out that even though on the bottle and on the specific feed chart, it says it is a light formula that will have minimal impact on EC and will not burn your plants at the recommended rates - it will! First time mixing up my nutrients with terpinator, I had to dilute it because the EC was too high. I put the recommended amount in my mix, and checked EC and low and behold it was high. The next feeding I did a 50% dilution rate and that seemed to be ok if you are diluting your other inputs properly to compensate. ALWAYS make sure your EC and PH are in check prior to fertigating your plants. I am watching the trichomes on a daily basis and am looking to harvest sometime this week or next. I plan to dry it in the tent it is growing in as it has AC and good airflow. Once they are done drying, they will get trimmed up, lightly vacuum sealed and stored in the freezer. She's got the purple touch! I think that both of my plants are almost ready for harvest. I don't have a USB microscope so I can't check thoroughly. Luckily I have a few lenses of a microscope and a very good phone camera. I gave them no nutes with the watering because I thought the purple might be because of the nutes but it's probably because of the colder nights. the following update might just be the harvest 👀.

Week 3 💚 8th - 15th of February 2021

Wk10 11/10/21: Day 64. 💧I have no idea what I should do. Should I chop it now, and use it to compare my next grow to, or wait another week and then chop? I think I'll let the pot dry out one more time, and then cut it down. Might as well have a baseline to go by. With plenty of cloudy trichomes, it's likely a good time to come down anyhow. Everyday I see more and more pistils dying back, but also a bunch of new hairs being pushed out, so it's confusing. I have a feeling that it's going to start foxtailing if I let it go much longer. Right now, buds are still very tight. If I do anything else before harvest, it will be a wet trim of most leaves. 11/11/21: Day 65. Pot is a bit lighter today, but not enough for me to say it's time. I've never been one to harvest just before the lights come on, and just chop it down whenever I felt like it, and had the time. I'm not sure if I will wait until early morning, or just go with what I've always done. I really don't feel like waking up at 4:30 and making a bunch of noise. I should really change my lighting schedule to make that easier, but I would be very unhappy if I couldn't check on, and take care of my plants during the morning and throughout the early afternoon. My thoughts on the plant came true. I opened the tent today, and saw some foxtails forming. Right now it's alright, as it's just a bit more bud to smoke, but if I left it to go for the entire rest of the week, it would definitely look like it had some lumps. So, that means it's time to wet trim, then chop down and hang it. Thankfully I have a small empty tent that I can use for drying. I have a fan in there still, so the air will be moving. Cannot wait to give this a test. 11/12/21: Day 66. 🌲Pot is definitely light enough to harvest today. As much as I'd like this to be my first dark harvest (chop 1 hour before light, or 5 hours after dark), I'll just stick with my usual plan and chop it down later, once I've taken care of a few other small things. I can see even more foxtails forming, and the old ones are now very prominent. I know there are several reasons for that to happen, with one being genetically predispositioned to growing them, but this is not likely the case. They are likely caused by my movent of the plant mich closer to the light, technically just a smidge too close. Oh well, I don't mind a few buds messed up, just as long as it's not the entire plant. Plant is now hanging inside the upstairs tent with a fan for air circulation. I will monitor it's weight loss every two days, and then jar and cure some remaining buds for approximately 4 weeks in my auto cure. It may not last that long, but I'm going to try. I will do my best to keep the main cola separate and intact for a future session. Chop: 88.1g or 3.11oz 11/14/21: Day 68. 35.5g or 1.14 oz 11/15/21: Day 68. Total dry: 20.7g. Bud is actually quite crumbly, so I'm sure once its brought back up to the 64% the Integra pack provides, it will have a better weight. Some smaller buds were smoked for testing, while a good portion is in the small auto cure, where it shall hopefully remain for the next 4 weeks. Updates will be provided once buds are cured for a true smoke report. End Diary As you can see, the plant did not finish on a desired colour. I do not mean a dark purple, but a high level of yellowing in the leaves. It started early in the flowering process, and continued to get worse. The plant however, persevered and finished strong. Even though the plant did not finish up looking like an ideal specimen, it allowed me to learn a lot about the genetics, and how to work with the dry amendments with this strain. Next round will be mich better, I guarantee. Don't believe me! Just watch! We will see it together.

These buds are exploding in growth and trichomes. I do a very light defoliation plucking fan leaves here and there every couple days. Wish I would have cleaned up more on the lower of some branches for less energy waste on larf, will have to see how it finishes since this is the first time I use the SE1000 at 100% intensity. Also want to mention that ever since I switched to water soluble Advanced Nutrients pro series the growth, development, visual, size, resin, scent and flavor of the buds has been day and night. Also it lasts ALOT longer compared to their liquid bottles, this is the second grow using it.

Harvest update on flowering day 75 since the time change to 12/12 hrs. Hey everyone ☺️👍. Today there is a short update of the harvest before the last update after the fermentation comes 😀👍. Both phenotypes were very easy to cut due to their very good bud to leaf ratio ☺️. I already like both phenotypes in terms of smell, although I have to say that Phenotype 1 smells much better and fruity 😍. Was trimmed clean by hand with disinfected scissors :-). Before harvest, both plants were given complete darkness for 48 hours. The trichomes are 70% milky and 30% amber 😍. You can now dry for 7-12 days on the net at 62% humidity. Then it goes for another 12-17 weeks in the glasses with 62% boveda packs which are then changed to 58% boveda packs :-). Until then and for the final harvest update, I wish you all a lot of fun. Ok one has gone purple the other hasnt :) I’m still of the opinion that’s it’s too much calcium , maybe due to the microbes improving the circulation, next change tomorrow with out any cal mag we see what happens 🤞 Changed reservoir Thursday - Boxing Day Had a few issues with calcium with this strain , it first appeared two weeks ago , I m of the opinion that maybe the concentration got too high locking ou5 the nutrients , ph is perfect at 6.3 but still later on we are seeing it in the other plant , this could also be the boxes , as this is the first run with them we can see if it’s going to happen with the northern lights 🤞 Big one is trying to go purple , the gold in her leaves is quite amazing , a side product of too much calcium I think

This week or a bit more was absolutely fucked up. Heavy rain and cold strong winds every day, but it is getting better now. Plants keep growing taller, except for White Whidow, which is the only one whos flowering well at the moment.

Came back from holidays and surprisingly the plants were looking great after 2 weeks without watering them, the gelified water did it's work. Flowers have gotten bigger and smellier.
