Took some fan leaves from the second branches off that were covering lower branches and tied higher fan leaves down a little, I'll LST more throughout this week.

Hey guys it’s week three and I’m feeling great. I ran into a few issues: 1. Unexpected rise in humidity. Don’t really know why it spiked but I purchased a dehumidifier to combat the issue. 2. White powdery Mold on the side of my grow fabric pots. I believe this was a byproduct of my humidity issue. I heavy inspected each plant and from the surface everything appears to be ok. I whipped away the mold and spray it down with a solution I made from mouth wash and water prior to the girls going to sleep. I also added another fan to add more circulation. 3. I took a few photos of some of my leaves there looks to be some discoloration hard to tell what it is due to me being color blind, I believe this is due to nutrition burn. All please take a look and tell me what you think it is, is it one problem or multiple? Other than that I started LST, great start so far I believe!

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. Huge stretch this week. She has bushed out quite alot. Never expected this much growth with the light schedule. Multiple bud sites appearing and she's showing no signs of stress. 🤞

Week four is kicking off good!! Lst and defoliation are working great ready to start the stretch! One plant is showing signs of pre flower. So we will see 🤷‍♂️🏻 Upped the nutrients this week plants are drying out about every 36 hrs. I’m oh watering feeding and ph watering alternating right now and they seem to love it I’m going to start adding some fox farms soluables here shortly. I’ll update this week in a few peace! So an update it’s day 28 all are in pre flower and start of flower switched to the hps light still alternating feeding and watering about every two n half days. Started using open sesame on the last feeding will use it one more time and switch to beastie bloomz. Stay safe everyone!

I go for 7 weeks of veg, done with the LST last week and now i am waiting to get some height 40-45cm and switch to flowering. The broken stem of last week didnt survive. 😪 This week i give 350ppm, 650pmm was too mutch i think. I dont know if the high PPM of Run-Off was from overwatering or overfertilization, so i start to water less frequently every 6-7 days with RO only and see what the Run-Off says, the last time i water with RO only and the Run-Off was 856PPM, now i hope the Run-Off go down to 100-150PPM and start again with nutrients. 😵😵 13/3 Today i set up my second lamp 400watt HPS to check temps...all good! After i put the Co2 bag in grow room, i saw that the plant's can handle very hot temperatures, and i think they like somewere between 29-31C when the temps go high they look very happy, before the Co2 bag in this temperatures they struggled. 14/3 Defoliate all plants and two plants topped for 12 and 9 (the broken one) colas, the other two stays with 8 colas. Water 4 liters RO only and again the Run-Off was at 850PPM. Flush with 20-25liters tap water at 180PPM (Too hard in my town) and the Run-Off go down at 280PPM 💪 Next week i will give very small doses at 300-350PPM and see what is going to happen.

This girl has only been in action! She has got up to the scrog now and I’m confident in her stretch capabilities as she’s about to preflower, it’s the things with photos, even at 4 weeks well let’s say 12-12 from seed as I’ve done this! They tend to flower when they’re ready! But as I said she’s doing amazing and I’m feeding her with an irrigation method as she’s so far at the back I set up a system that’s working tf and helps me take it easy when feeding! May do it to them all on a lazy vibe next time lol maybe lol defoliated her lower fan leaves too and as time goes on I can see I’ll be in some difficulty to prune her and the other rear plants but I will figure it out I’m sure! 😎

Very nice stretch! This girl actually looks like the plants I have been trying to grow (for this stage). Still dialing in the nutes for consistent growth. Light defoilation only, skipping LST for this baby. Probably just good genetics on this one rather than any skill on my part.

Day 92: what’s happening guys! Week 14 is here. Temps have been okay and humidity has been okay. I’ve got the 400w hps set up and it’s dropped temps slightly and slightly raised humidity which is what I wanted. In my opinion she’s looking ready for the chop! I’m seeing plenty of cloudy trichomes and a few ambers and I’m going for less of a couch lock so I’m thinking around now she is ready. I started plain water 6 days ago and she’s recieved 2L,1L and then 1L again today. All leaves have started yellowing, I imagine this is the plant pulling the nitrogen from the leaves as there’s none at the roots. How much longer does she need to be fed plain water for before she is ready for the chop? Thanks! Stay safe and happy growing✌️🌱🍁 End of the day edit: I decided to harvest the majority of her. The bottoms just a bit under developed so I’ll leave it going a bit longer. After chopping and taking photos out of the hps light the nugs are looking a tinge purple although I can’t see it as strong with my eyes. Hopefully I’ll get a wet weight later so I can add it to the diary later on. Temp is around 24c and humidity is 45-55. How does that sound? I’ve got extractor at the top and a fan at the bottom. We’ll see how long it takes to dry, hoping to go for atleast 5 days. With the virus going around I’m really making use of what I have at home so hopefully the climate will hold up🤞 any tips and advice about drying and curing etc is hugely appreciated🙏 I’ll be back with the harvest update once she’s dried out✌️many thanks happy growing!🍁🌱 She weighed in wet at 110 grams. Week 6 Day 1 10/28/2023 Water Change Day!! I will start it running in 24 hours after the system settles in. Week 6 Day 2 10/29/2023 Going to be interesting.. I left the old monitor in to do a double check behind the new auto PH monitor.. not eh problem is I configured the New one and I am pretty sure that it is more accurate than the previous one I was using but the difference is 5.9 on the new one and 6.19 on the old. So it leaves me to questions if I was always running my PH higher but still just within safe range? or is this one off by that much. Questions, Questions.. But so far it is working I had to make several adjustments to dial in how much of each gets released but right now they are sitting around 5.9 Week 6 Day 3 10/30/2023 Worked on adjusting the auto PH system and I think I will need to change out some of the gear to make it work better.. Right now the suction/ flow rate has to be up to high in order to get the Up or down out of the Containers and the UP kicks on before the Down has a chance to settle.. I would have hoped there is a steady reading for X seconds before it starts the other.. but there isn't it is automatically kicking off the Up even while it is still adjusting from adding Down. Week 6 Day 4 10/31/2023 Today I did nothing but take some pics.. Nice day.. the experiment of the PH auto system is a bust as of right now.. the range is out of what I want.. and it keeps immediately kicking off without giving the water time to balance.. since this is a res system which the water moves.. not the best.. it doesn't have a wait time before release more.. and it keeps releasing even after it starts reading in range.. so it drops it lower than it should.. I could probably dilute the PH up and Down and make it a little more effective.. but not sure what I want to do at this point. Week 6 Day 5 11/01/2023 Today I did nothing but take some pics..
