Hello This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering. Still 5 more weeks to go... Hoping to harvest around the 2nd week of Aug. Plant #3 is showing a lot of resin already. See the pics... The white around the edges of the leaves is the give away. Found a few ladybugs this week and brought them inside here, to help. Was hot at the beginning of this week. Now it back to normal temps. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

The Cookie Girls are doing great ๐Ÿ˜Š Overall, Iโ€™m very pleased with the results so far. At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so. At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. At day 12 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. Iโ€™ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point. Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps. The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. ๐Ÿ˜ŠDuring the stretch, while I tucked, I snapped more than a couple of tops off, but the plant continues to thrive. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing. Iโ€™ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. Will be doing a defoliation next week. Happy Gardening ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‘Šโค๏ธ

Looks like I missed a weekโ€ฆ Itโ€™s been horribly hot, and they only have access to the light outside. โ€ฆIn the heat. So I have been keeping them in filtered sun, sometimes shade or a brief moment in the sun. They soak up all the morning sun when itโ€™s cooler at least. Iโ€™ve noticed what would most likely be a subtle potassium deficiency. The heat is bad. Not too hot, but unfortunately there were multiple occasions where they had more hot sun than necessary. I didnโ€™t notice any signs of stress at the time, other than leaf tips and edges folding and pointing up a lil bit. But later in the evening I could see subtle discoloration. Iโ€™m pretty sure these young un-established plants are just running a little short on potassium. Iโ€™ve been giving them potassium as well. Itโ€™s just a matter of keeping them cool. Overall Iโ€™d say they havenโ€™t gotten too hot! Just hot enough multiple times to put a higher demand on water and potassium than necessary, all while having slowed growth. I positive they are all still good and no one has been stunted. I hope! But yeah I think we are doing good. Just going slower than usual with the excessive heat. We are averaging a high of 90 Fahrenheit with some days getting 94! Also, they are growing slowly not only because of the heat, but the lack of direct light for the second half of the day. Iโ€™d rather grow slowly than risk stunting any. Iโ€™m feeling positive about this bunch. They are young and bursting with life!! โ€ฆ.slowly.

1st week out of the veg tent, post 1st defoliation. I like to do all my major training in Veg to prevent further stress in flower. I cut all lower fan leaves off and any unnecessary bud sights (ones that I know will not get any light) - Keep in mind these bitches STRETCH & grow massive fan leaves which block out almost all the light to lower sections of the plant. So you will have to remove leaves, how many is up to your preferred method.

Trainwreck is now an established strain in the history of cannabis, now we can see how it turns out on the automatic one from Zamnesia. Remember that we are growing a plant worked with the techniques indicated and another left to grow without pruning to preserve its speed; in the previous/next diary you will find the other plant of the same variety. In this diary we find worked with the Main Lining. Topping at the second internode to create the MainFold, growing shoots worked parallel to the ground for another three internodes and then topped again. We have removed the branches of 1 internode on each side and topped the remaining two branches on each side. Slow down the use of nitrogen during this technique, you may not need everything recommended by the manufacturers. So, if the leaves become too dark or, worse, the tips of the leaves arch downwards and the leaf becomes "crunchy", it is time to lighten or stop the basic fertilizer. She is a bit dark and I slowed down by giving only additives. Comparison is the salt of experience, so the plant in the other diary will be treated very differently, go see it to compare. We started the Plagron fertilization program, we are in 100% organic configuration, the soil is recycled Promix + 1/3 fresh soil + 10% Perlite + RQS Mycorrhizae Mix (4 g in the mix, 1 g under the small fiber pot). We fertilize with: 1 ml/l Power Roots - 1 ml/l Pure Zym - 1 ml/l Sugar Royal - 3 ml/l Alga Grow We sprayed 3 ml/l Vita Race foliar fertilizer once a week. https://plagron.com/it We always have the excellent RQS mycorrhizae flowing in the soil. https://www.zamnesia.io/it/5778-mix-micorrize-easy-roots.html Take a taste of this strain, it's a cross of legendary strains https://www.zamnesia.io/en/11055-zamnesia-seeds-trainwreck-automatic.html Short Description Zamnesia // Trainwreck Automatic is the autoflowering descendant of the popular cannabis strain Trainwreck (a stunning cross of Thai and Mexican landraces). Much loved for its 70% sativa genetics and sativa-like effects, Trainwreck Automatic is as easy to grow as an indica (even in cold climates). This autoflowering strain goes from germination to harvest in 11โ€“12 weeks, meaning you'll be harvesting sativa buds in no time. It prefers warmer climates, but thanks to its short life cycle, it can also be grown in more northern areas (provided it is germinated a few weeks early when growing outdoors) Trainwreck Auto offers delicious lemon and lime flavors that enhance the classic sativa profile of its parents. Furthermore, thanks to the spicy and earthy notes, the overall experience will be even more intense, regardless of whether you smoke or vape it. In terms of its effects, Trainwreck Auto is euphoric, uplifting and energizing. Fueled by a THC content of around 21%, this strain is perfect for socializing and best suited to smokers who prefer to stay active after consuming cannabis, rather than lazing around doing nothing. The whole world of cultivation and much more is from Zamnesia: just take a look at the site and you will find "all the best that nature has to offer" in various shapes and colors. -- // www.zamnesia.com

Day 8 - moved into DWC a. DWC is ready to go, with 400ppm of nutrients b. the growth we are seeing is very nice c. am still watering around the rocks a few times a day to promote root growth Day 9 - all is well a. plant is noticeably growing b. PH is sitting at 6.2, and not fluctuating - using dechlorinated water source Day 10 - she is growing a. nothing new to report b. utilizing humidity dome with small space for DWC to breathe, the humidity in my barn is a bit too low Day 11 - growth a. new leaves are forming b. one root has made it outside the basket Day 12 - roots in the pool a. we have a root in the pool! b. there will be many more to follow, the water level is just at the base of the basket Day 13 - you can depend on FastBuds a. just like clockwork, at 2 weeks there are 10+ roots reaching into the nutrient pool, FastBuds seeds ALWAYS germinate faster Day 14 - explosive growth a. roots are about 5cm into the pool, she is taking off b. love the shape of these initial leaves, the green hue is wonderful

Day8: First day of the new week. I assume still pretty much focusing on roots, as the top didn't really do much today. Day9: Nothing special. But she's growing Day10: Still roots, it seems. Very little happening up top. Day11: Effort being put into growing the top leaves. They increased in size. I assume that the next node will start tomorrow - kicking off the switch into Veg. Day12: Next node already showing :D Day13: I put in a humidifier and changed the cycle of the extractor to keep more moisture in the growbox. My humidity was way too low. Day14: This time the humidity was too high. It was sitting at around 95% when the lights went on.

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Zamnesia Mango Kush continues to smell and is very sticky. It is tall and with packed buds It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juiceโ€™s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to โ€œstir vigorouslyโ€ and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-itโ€™s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. As always, Letโ€™s Chat it up AND Likes and comments are appreciated

The - now topped - plants are doing good. Slow but steady growth, which makes sense after transplant and topping. Did some gentle training but damaged plant #1 quite a bit (snapped both top stems) luckily i didnt take off the lower two stems on this plant so theres still a good energy source while she heals. Still makes here the no. 1 contender for getting tossed sadly. So far so good. Outdoors the prepped soil is doing well but its very dry, trying to keep the clover alive, but im afraid it wont be a lot of clover. Oh well, stuff spreads like wildfire anyways
