Hey guys, update week 2 this week I decided to do a video update to change it up, I also didnt take the plants out of the plant this week just gave water. They are all happy and grow at a nice rate, still no fertilizer just water in Sonnenerde living soil, even though the size of them compared to the pot size makes me worry a bit. Lets see what the next week has in store as we continue this journey together. I have to say I like these genetics a lot, all making nice trichomes and developing a beautiful aroma, solid plants, not one of the 4 doing funky things. Solid genetics !

She kind of stalled out on me this week. I think the thicker soil and flush last week deoxygenated her roots but now that the soil is drying out I see a bunch more white hairs starting to poke through so she’s got some work to do. I’m gonna flush her Friday or Saturday of this week and let her enjoy some drought time and then hitter with some recharge following the flush. Recharge won’t do anything besides maintain roof health at this point which is all I want. No water or nutrients given this week.

Hello, things are going a lot better with these girls now, nice & healthy & growing well. Set them up in 15 ltr DWC pots upped the nutrients, a little lower than the manufacturers recommendations for week 4. They are around 10 cm tall & have 7 nodes, started LST training, simply bending over & tying down. Lower branches starting to grow up, noticed 1st pistils on pheno 2 yesterday, right on the last day of week 4, so far I've only seen 2 pistils on both branches on the same node. Would have liked them to be bigger before starting to flower, but hopefully they put on some good size during the Flowering stretch. Plant is looking good 😊, fully recovered from defoliation, I set the lights closer, switched them to 12h of light per day, and did some spraying to control pests with neem oil and organic Marseille soap, everything good so far . Can't wait to see the flowers forming. I used a net to open up the branches, and get more colas, it worked but I think stressed out the plant a bit and the fact that I did it in the flowering period didn't helped, so next time I'll do it way before, but I recently bought the net so.. anyway I kept the net on for three days, and now I decided to remove it cause was getting me lot of troubles accessing the setup in general, watering, basically made impossible any movement inside the tent. Still did is thing and now I have not the best even canopy but many more top colas for sure. Please give me any advice, I've noticed it is drying out lot faster, humidity is still at 58% but I believe the roots are much more developed. I will leave home for 2 or 3 weeks, my sister will have the duty to just water, can't ask her more, hope for the best. So updates will be very rare but she'll take pictures for me and for us :D .

This plant was one of my favorites to date, it was a perfect grow. She was so easy, she never showed any bad signs on her leaves, always was super happy. I accidentally topped her at about her 4th week or so when I was inducing LST on her. Didn’t even phase her whatsoever, she just branches off and did her own thing, I got her under a screen and the magic started happening, she bubbles up and came out with an crazy amount of flowering points. The amount of flowers she showed and then the color she showed during her fade weeks was unreal, her colors reminded me of something you’d see during fall season when leaves are changing outside. Super colorful and extremely sticky. I had to change my gloves and clean my scissors every few branches, a problem I never mind having. This is one of my top plants I’ve grown today, with the color and the size of the nugs it was a flawless grow. I tooted my own horn on this one to myself. 5 ounces is a stellar result and I’ll take that on any grow. I couldn’t recommend this strain enough and will definitely be in future grows for sure. Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. She is almost there as most trichomes are cloudy. One more week on nuts then one week flush and harvest time. Should be enjoyable harvest as the plant is quite small but pack so I will trim it on the plant 😁

Welcome growfessors! Harvest time for Do-si-dos! This gal is looking great after her last week in the tent. She developed a little foxtailing over the past week, but she did bulk up, pack on more frost and is sticky as molasses! July 11 dry weight of 83 grams. Smooth smoke, mellow flavors.

Did a good defol this week and immediately she starts to pray, very cool. Buds are swelling up every day and there is a nice fresh smell in the tent. I will bring it to the end, i think 4 more weeks to go..

It's been a fairly uneventful week in the 5x5. I cut down my Blackberry auto the other day and I've been thinking of getting seeds ready for the stuff I plan to grow outside this summer...With my currents cycle of plants being deep in to flower, I have time to look forward at upcoming projects. The Mimosa cake auto is one of those plants currently deep into flower. She's been giving off a dank smell of earthy/fruity/spicy terps. She is extremely dense and sticky to the touch. I find myself cutting fan leaves off daily due to her busy and stout stature. The only down side I have to her is the fact that she's going to take around 100 days from germination to harvest. Process/ Environment changes: - Turned off one TS1000 after I cut down the Blackberry auto. I did this to try and cool the tent down. Higher temps outside creates an increase I'm ambient air temp in my basement. - Fed Advanced Nutrients Bloom nutes at a rate of 1.5 mL/gal - no longer using a fish tank water heater to heat my water reservoir due to increased ambient air temperatures in basement Trichomes still mostly clear... I'm on day 84 post germination today as I write this.

Oh, day 27. Flower 1 23.10. For real? Poor plant. She doesn't look happy.

Once again, this week starts where the former one ended. With the exception of all the cables you can see in the first picture. I dared to install a minimalized version of the Raspi control only controlling the self-built humidifier and one blower/fan combination. I was very pleased to see how easily the simple diffusor can hold optimum VPD as long as temperatures are high and humidity tends to fall below optimum VPD. A single 10 seconds evaporation can hold the level for about 2–3 minutes. I am not pleased to see the Monsanto blowers rather underperform. It’s impossible to reduce humidity or temperature with both running on full speed, while a lifting of the tent door will bring immediate changes. With the Raspi/Arduino success so far*, I am thinking about using old Power Mac fans which are WCM controllable and use 12 V. At least one to increase air intake, and maybe even the blowers. * It wasn’t any problem at all to have the Arduino collect CO2 and soil moisture data, so after some more cable manufacturing (aka helpless soldering), I could extend the Raspi control. I’m still uncertain about the camera module (@trelorny impressed me with his time lapse videos). I don’t want to put the hardware into the tent with its not so electronics friendly climate, already risking some rare outages of the temp/hum sensor. But the camera module cannot be placed far away. So maybe I’ll use the 3A model I own as a spare part as a camera driver. Any maybe, if it works, invest in a better camera module. Mine is generation 1. Oh, and the ladies! Gave them slightly fertilised water yesterday, and even it or the better VPD yesterday or a combination of both make me believe bud growth is a bit more visible today. The smell in the morning when I open the tent to release accumulated humidity is outstanding. They were already thirsty on day 57 again, so pure RO + a bit of tap water until it spilled out of their pot’s bottoms. Many fan leaves turning autumnally now, and the smallest Sherbet suffered a bit from over-fertilisation as I wrote. But it this stage I don’t go for leaf beauty anymore. Just another learning: Don’t use differently sized pots anymore. Hard to feed them individually this way. VPD was mostly in best range yesterday, and I have the feeling it really supports their bud growth. I added an "Evening time" option to my Raspi control that allows the humidity to sink a selected time before lights shut down. That made it possible to have humidity in best range for most of the night time too. They were even dry again on day 58 morning. Another time just water. The blowers cannot cope with the flowers’ smell anymore, and so sometimes my flat cannot hide who shares it with me. Day 60 presents me with a problem: I’ll leave on Friday for a few days. Considering the microscope pictures are not from the tops buds: Would you say it’s safe to give them another week? Problem solved on day 61. Only clean water from now on, and next week will be their last. You won’t see any new pictures for some days now. Me too … Something I wanted to share with you before I leave: I just finished to update my grow box control with a new PWM fan hat that keeps the Raspi cool, while at the same an infrared sensor can now measure real leaf and additional ambient temperature. Setup is much cleaner and more robust now, but I wish my flux would not make the solder stick to the tip of the machine instead of making it flow and stick at the tiny tiny spots I have to hit …
