Hi Gromies, This is my first ever Auto grow, these seeds were free bonus seeds from Fast Buds . Received as bonus seeds when I purchased there new Fast Flowering F1 photo period genetics. Germinated in around 24 hours then planted into jiffy starters & sprouted within 2 days .
Many different opinions on topping Auto's , plan on doing Lst bending on 1 & possibly topping the 2nd as long as it's growing well & is nice & healthy. Any growers with experience topping Auto's, what are your thoughts & experience's how did it affect yields
Definitely not recommend, the recovery time isn't worth the loss of good growth, just let them do their thing and grow on their own time line, if it takes 3 days to recover then you lost 3 days of good growth, no sense on wasting any time when they're on a timer..

Should have read up more on Auto's. Started feeding nute's, a little early & ran into some problems, yellowing & brown leaf tips. Have had slowed growth as a result . Read up on Auto's & found it was to high of a nutrient dose. Apparently you don't fertilize them the same as you would with photoperiod's. Stopped Auto feeding & nutrients for a couple of days. Then started them on a real low amount, 0.5ml > litre every second day & plain water on the other days, put them in Cloner to use humidity dome, they are looking a lot better, nice colouring no yellowing & have noticed growth. Will continue feeding this way a few more days, then re evaluate. A bit disappointed as they should be a bit bigger after 17 days but it's down to grower mistakes not genetics. Hope they take off a bit over the next 2 weeks.
A bit of slow growth, yellowing & discolouration, . Grower mistakes, I started them on to much nutrients & a little to soon. Gave them plain water for a few days then very low nutrients every 2nd day, & this helped. They started getting their colour back & growth started again.
Hello, things are going a lot better with these girls now, nice & healthy & growing well. Set them up in 15 ltr DWC pots upped the nutrients, a little lower than the manufacturers recommendations for week 4. They are around 10 cm tall & have 7 nodes, started LST training, simply bending over & tying down. Lower branches starting to grow up, noticed 1st pistils on pheno 2 yesterday, right on the last day of week 4, so far I've only seen 2 pistils on both branches on the same node. Would have liked them to be bigger before starting to flower, but hopefully they put on some good size during the Flowering stretch. Hi it's not a grow question, more of a statement! Firstly I love Growdiaries & the growing community. My only Gripe is the grower rating system!!! Seems everything is a popularity contest these days, IT SHOULD NOT BE BASED ON HOW MANY LIKES YOU GET!
Just answered your other question that was like this. and yes your not wrong, its just not feasible for GD to rait people on a site that so easily exploitable. Even if it was based off of harvest totals its self input no accountability ppl will lie and cheat their way to what ever top exists.

If I posted photos of myself in nothing but a g string, I'd also be a master grower! Should be based on your grows, how many grows, yields, grams per watt , training . I try new methods every grow. I'm an apprentice, been growing 18 months+Master growers growing 6months?not fair
lol your not wrong, its all based on likes and many many MANY users farm likes by writing bullshit on peoples grows like "great job keep it up" or "nice grow buddy" just in the off chnage someone likes it, and shocker they do, SPAM is the way of many users, plus there are a good handful of gurus who do this just for the status of being guru and exploiting the sites sponsors. When I was new to the site I thought wow so helpful, then found out why they do it and then thought fucking cucks.
Likes are a really vapid way of showcasing a growers skill, and on a site that is free with no fees or little to moderation its as good as its going to get. to evaluate all the growers and the spam bots that are populating more then a cockroach infestation would be to many resources and hours. Have you seen people they pick for the contests.. its a joke. they "growdiaries" does not care.
If you truly don't like it, interact more with people on contest pages and see if anyone notices your style and will toss some likes your way. but the good OG growers know who can grow buy looking at your pics. likes are all dick waving and does not matter unless you want some sponsors. Your could do what they do, create a fake profile, like all your own stuff and then when your called out about it, shut that alternate profile down lol... yes this happened to a guru on this site and they where a little bitch about it.
The only person that matters on this platform is yourself and how you want to use it. never forget it and fuck the rest.

These girls have really taken off, had some issues & slow growth with pheno 1, flushed her roots in my shower with plain water. Problem was a thick build up of veg ignitor which had coated the roots. Flushing worked great, plant and roots getting rapid new growth & looking nice shade of green, very lush
Looking great, pheno 2 is 58 cm tall & 2ft X 2ft wide developing big long colas everywhere. Pheno1 is 68 cm tall & started flower a week behind pheno 2, starting to get a strong smell of fermented fruit & kind of a sweet bubble gum smell . They now have the whole tent to them selves to spread out a bit. They look really good 👍
Going great 👍 did some pretty hyeavy defoliation on pheno 2 & removed most fan leaves & any new leaf growth so she concentrates entirely on the buds at this stage. More Air & Light around each cola has colas between 20cm & 30cm long she is getting pretty close, thinking about 2 weeks? Pheno1 going great as well, has a 36 cm main cola started flower a week after pheno2.
Harvested pheno 2 on day 60 of flower day 89 overall flushed for the last 4 days then 48 darkness period . Dried at 20°celsius & 40 to 50% RH for 8 days on the branch. Awesome plant 2ft square, 2ft high with huge colas between 22cm & 32cm long around 14 & 20 to 30 good secondaries fairly dense buds, was thinking between 4 & 6 Oz so I was hugely surprised after dry trim & weighing to get 220grams , 7.8 Oz!!! Pheno1 was a week behind pheno 2 harvested on day 57 of flower day 93 week 14 in total, had to harvest this one early as I ran into some problems she ran out of water & the roots dried out then I had EC issues & nutrient lock out as a result the plant couldn't take water & the buds started drying out on the plant so I had to harvest early so I got a lot of airy popcorn bud & under developed lower bud after dry & trim I got 136 grams 4
.8oz , 356g total from both plants.
