Hi Friends! It looks like stretching has finally stopped 🛑 !!! I am so happy with this! This has been a long road and I’m so happy to see the end coming about. At 7 weeks into flower everything is looking good and the trichome production is going fully. The nutrient solution has stayed the same for these past few weeks, but I have boosted the bud candy x2. Now It’s just a waiting game. One thing I’m starting to get concerned about is humidity. It seems humidity is rising when I wake up in the morning. I think it’s because the exhaust fan isn’t running on a constant loop and is only dependent temperature sensor. This means that when the temperature reaches the threshold it turns off even though the humidity might still high. I think I can fix this problem by introducing a new timer the works on a loop. I keep bending this lady quite a lot. She is growing super vigorous on a diet Front Row Ag. She starting to smell like a basket of super ripe mandarin. Stunk dunk big. She staking super nice. Super close internode. I defoliated her quite a lot too. Hopefully no many small buds. Still a great yeald is promising from the look.

Just removed some leaves, has got a little deficency. I think CalMag.. But no Problem, should finish.. I hope to get out 3g of this Cannabonsai.. Switched the Light to 12/12 because she is in my tent with a photoperiodic strain. My cucumber in my Garden is 3 Meter high, funny contrast!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. I have started removing substrates and other things that contain nitrogen in them. You see, the trichomes are quite dense, and the flesh is also blooming, there is a tree that foxtail me sad because its flowers like pillars.

The Afghani x Mac1 auto from DNA recovered well from the training and is in full bloom. Bud sites are looking great. Had an issue with humidity this week and the leaves started looking rough. She got a dose of Recharge this week and drinks about 8-12oz of water throughout each day. All in all she's trucking right along. Very happy with how smooth this solo cup grow is going.

Added yellow sticky fly traps to all cubes as a preventative measure to avoid infestation of fungus gnats. So far none have been spotted. Defoliated and did a little more LST to all the plants to open up the center and give more light to lower shoots. Blue Dream 3 and Chemdawg 3 started showing some discoloration on the leaves (yellowing around the veins) and also the leaf tips curling down. Did some research and came up with this... Possible diagnosis: - Yellowing around leaf veins could be a sign of Magnesium or Iron deficiency - Leaf tip curling down could be a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity. - Both could be caused by improper ph balance in water Possible solutions: - Applied Botanicare CalMag+ as a foliar feed and added some to the reservoir. CalMag+ contains Calcium, Magnesium and Iron. - Diluted nutrients in reservoir to lower amount of nitrogen being fed to plants. Was feeding them at 1300ppm, lowered it to 1050ppm - Tested runoff and saw it was coming out at 5.4pH so I increased the pH in the reservoir to 6.0. Now the runnoff is testing at 5.7pH, meaning that my rootzone is in the optimal range of 5.5-5.8 Well wait and see how the plants react to these slight tweaks. Hopefully we start to see a nice healthy even green again.

Germination was pretty good, we lost one of each strain. We soaked for 24hr then wet paper towel for 24hr then in a tray and dome for 2 days under a sun blaster 50 watt light for the first week or so

So this is how things are looking for the ladies at the end of Week 9 of Flower, through out week 9 they have been getting just plain PH water for the flushing stage. One thing I forgot to mention on the video is that I checked the ladies Trichomes and only one of them is ready for harvest, the other shorter lady needs another week or so. 23.05. today is the end of the fourth week for the plants, they haven't progressed much since last week, they grew a few cm and gained a little weight, but they are healthy, which is the most important thing... in a few days I will transplant them and top them because some of them have already developed the sixth pair of leaves, so I simply have to top them. turned out...
