🌿Week 4: Defoliation & SCROG Setup Week 4 was all about structure and airflow. The canopy was getting bushy fast, with a ton of inner growth, so we went in for a solid defoliation session across the board. Lower fans, overlapping leaves, and shaded internodes were cleaned up to let light penetrate deeper into the canopy and reduce potential humidity traps. Right after that, we finally dropped the SCROG net, stretched out gently across the canopy to guide the branches horizontally and prep for flower stacking. Some of these phenos are already reaching for the sky, so the timing felt just right. Captured a full-time-lapse clip of the defoliation + netting process. It’s super satisfying watching the chaos turn into clean lines. Nature meets intention. Feed Bloom since 20/6 22/6 Defoliation 🌱 Plant Response: After defol, they bounced back fast. Tops are perky, leaves are praying, and stretch is continuing in a controlled way. The structure’s more open now — better airflow, better light distribution, better everything.

Apple fritter clone did really well. Heavy dense buds on her. I think she did better then the mother plant. She grew great under the Spider Farmer SE3000. Strong smell, and great frost. Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

This is my first grow in 25 years and it was a pleasure. Now that it's legal to grow 4 plants in Virginia, I did not waste any time getting started. Maintenance was easy. Well water in Autopots with Sohum living soil. All I needed to do was train the plants.

We’re officially in the first week of flowering, and the stretch has already started! 🌿 The plant without LST has shot up quickly, growing tall and strong. However, I noticed a few rusty spots on the leaves, which might be a calcium or magnesium deficiency. To help, I’ve slightly increased the CalMag and Bloom nutrients for that plant. 🌱 Other than that, everything seems to be going well, and I’m happy with the overall progress. It’s exciting to see them enter this new phase, and I can’t wait to see how the buds begin to form! 😁✨

As always, the Mendocino Skunk is doing very well. Since the changeover to flowering she has shifted up a gear again, I'm defoliating her a little every day as I don't want to stress her too much at the moment. Since I've topped all the existing shoots, she's sprouted so many new potential shoots that later have to struggle to carry the weight of the fat buds. It remains very interesting looking forward to next week and feeding you with news. Keep everyone on the right path stay high. May all your ladies grow healthy and splendid and provide you with tasty stuff 😍

New reservoir on the 2nd with Flowering nutrients, still at 50% of recommended dosage - and I'll probably stick with it, even at this strength I've seen a few burnt tips. Used dechlorinated tap water this time, something I'll probably stick with as well. Also added some bud trainers that I got from amazon, they're quite cheap and I've been liking it so far, although not the best canopy, it's something I'm learning a lot and enjoying. And a side note: Using autopots feels like cheating. These two are topped and still are producing some enormous branches! Glad I did top them in the end, else I'd be stressing a lot over space right now. -- update Decided to give them a heavier defoliation/lollipopping to improve light penetration and to help them focus on the bigger branches instead of larf. We'll see how well they'll respond to that.

Die Parameter in Woche 6: Controller Einstellung Tag: Advanced AI VPD 1,2 – 1,4 Controller Einstellung Nacht: Advanced AI VPD 1,0– 1,2 Durchschnittliche Tagestemperatur: 26,5 Grad Durchschnittliche Nachttemperatur: 23,9 Grad Durchschnittliche Luftfeuchtigkeit Tag: 52,6% Durchschnittliche Luftfeuchtigkeit Nacht: 52,3% Durchschnittlicher VPD Tag: 1,3 Durchschnittlicher VPD Nacht: 1,1 Durchschnittliche Bodenfeuchtigkeit in Mbar: 85 LED Leistung: 20% = 90 Watt Beleuchtungsdauer: 18 Stunden Umluft: Stufe 1 oszillierend

Tough going first few weeks going to look close on the postmortem for the roots and see if I can tell what was causing the issues with Phos, Ca, Mg lockouts. Foliar saved the day Was very disappointed in the germination rate which caused delays in grow cycle and threw off my whole grow system. It forced me into 7 gallon pots to try and save the yield and THAT may be where the issues arose with the pots, I had to use another bin of soil for the extra soil. Still I should have known better and just stuck with the 5 gallon pots but was trying to get yield. Worked too on Layla and Maggie, nothing was going to help the stunting on Brandy which I dropped from the grow. So 60% germination is not acceptable unless its tomatoes... Dont get me wrong though, this strain has a LOT of good qualities, it not only survived my foul up but produced one excellent plant and one monster out of the three that germed. May try it again next year, think it would be stellar in coco. Beyond that a quality product, just had issues. Easy-ish trim and harvest For numbers on Layla (Week 12) 12/19 HARVEST DAY LAYLA wet yield 578 grams Dry weight 219 grams Maggie wet weight 886 grams Into dry DRY weight 255g Layla 219g + Maggie 255g = 474g Not letting me rate the Aurora Innovations Soul Peak PK and Finisher I give it 4 stars

Hello guys 😍👽 This week is the most exciting time of my cultivation. After we grew 10 og creams, today in the third week of flowering, all the seeds showed that they are feminized😍😍 My project has given the right result But more important than this is the final product, which we compare with the father (og kush) and the mother (cake n cream) and the traits it inherited😍😍 Thanks for your comment🙏😍👽 "farah4weed"

She's really frosting up and producing quite the smell! Definitely a lot smellier than my first grow which I appreciate :) One thing I've done is kept the light much lower than usual and while it's creating issues with temp it seems to be helping the budsites grow faster. I think it's also helped with her not stretching as much, especially that main cola which is still 5" higher than the rest of the budsites (better than my first grow where main cola was 8-9" taller). Wish I had more space, looking into a 24x24x48 tent. Happy growing everyone!!😊

2-1 Got her first water in new home. Was not watered in during x plant. Let her dry what she had first. 7ml EM1 will get a bigger dose soon. Just to kick things off. Around 1/2 tsp recharge, 1ml drops of balance. 1.5 ml Silica. Ph 6.0 500 ml. 2-3 Wish I would have watered 250-300. 500 was a bit much, should be fine. Looks very happy and perky. 2-4 Looks like she may have the fungus. Removed first leaves. 2-5 Peroxide spray at lights out. Slight possibility on 2nd set of leaves. 2-6 Removed 3rd set up leaves. Oh my goodness not again! Foliar spray, Canncontrol 300ml water .8 ml CannC. As a precaution. Enlisted Valiotoro, light may have burnts when lights came on from foliar. I dont remember checking. Focused more on if spread. 😂 Hope this helps. 🤞 Sad that the leaf removal will slow her down. .
