Rolling into Week 5! We had a bit of a weather shift this week—the sun was mostly hiding, we dealt with some rainy days, and the nighttime temperatures dropped down to a chilly 10°C. But no need to worry, she handled the colder nights like a champ and kept right on progressing. I’m continuing to work her with some LST, making sure to keep all the growing tips at the exact same level to encourage an even, flat canopy. For hydration, I'm still keeping it simple and watering about twice a week. Appearance & Flowering: She has definitely widened out this week! While she’s spreading her wings, she isn’t quite as densely bushy as the Black Orchid, which is actually going to be perfect for airflow and light penetration. This update was made Day 58 from seed. I just now realized I've had my day count offset by about 2-3 days. No biggie, at least it's been rectified. Anyways, onto the update. Beautiful deep purple tones have begun peeking throughout the plant. Similar to my lemon berry but with more of a magenta hue. Feedings have been rather frequent. 2-3 nute feedings last week. With XSD. For the rest of the grow, XSD will be omitted. Just molasses and Liquid Seaweed from here on out. Absolutely love the development of this photo period variety. I'll probably give this strain a rest for the next journal, however. Still need to spread my wings with Ethos' catalogue.

Plants with more direct UV showed much more purple across all 3 plants. The data shows that the number of terpenes in dried Cannabis flowers increases with a “No Red” light treatment for the final three days of production. Based upon these findings, we feel confident in recommending a spectrum control program that eliminates red light output from fixtures for the final 72 hours of the Cannabis flowering cycle. Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis some of its most distinct aromas from citrus and berry, to more earthy tones. Many species of plants produce and emit terpenes in a diurnal, or daily cycle that is regulated by a complex web of signaling. There are also many plants that emit terpenes at night to attract nocturnal pollinators (Marinho et al., 2014346). Regardless of when the terpenes are produced or emitted, these processes are often dependent upon cues derived from natural light/dark cycles via a native circadian clock (Dudareva et al., 2004). Several light-sensitive pigments are involved in these processes of production and emission, and the different photoreceptors are dependent upon different wavelengths of light to be activated or deactivated. Emission of terpenes is a process that is entirely dependent upon phytochromes and red/far-red light cues in most plant species (Flores and Doskey, 2015). For example, repeated light/dark phytochrome signaling is necessary for the emission of terpenes in tobacco plants (Roeder et al., 2007). Based on previous findings, we hypothesized that a lack of red light and phytochrome-mediated light/dark signaling on the part of the plant is responsible for an increase in terpene content in cannabis. Haven't seen too much calyx formation yet, just a lot of stretching. Waiting on the purple too🧐 I've been pruning out lower branches and leaves hanging close to the ground to help keep air flowing and humidity down, especially near her stalk.

Start of week 3 of flowering. This GG#4 girl is hungry! She's needing more feeding each week, now up to 6 liters per feeding. Bud sites are developing nicely, added B52 to the feed this week too. She's yellowed more than her sisters over the course of the week, hopefully the extra feed will stop that from spreading further.

Beide Ladys machen einen Hervorragenden Fortschritt sowohl die Abstände der "Nioden?" als auch das Wachstum und die Farbe der Ladys gefällt mir sehr gut. Bei einer Lady habe ich etwas nach geholfen die zukünftigen Triebe durch die Fächerblätter zu fummeln damit diese schon frühzeitig licht bekommen und ggf. auch auf einer höhe weiter wachsen so wie sie es bisher tun. Bei der anderen Lady experimentieren ich etwas herum wie es sich auf die Ernte auslegt wenn ich einige Triebe nach unten "Binde" um einen Größeren Lichteinfluss zu generieren was aber bei der Lady nicht so einfach ist da sie ein verdammt wildes Wachstum hat was für mich als Newbie nicht klar erkennbar ist dank ihrer Mutation. 3/28/25 chopped and humidity was a little high starting off 3/30/25 have them drying at 60% and 70° 4/3/25 Still needing a day or so of drying to be at a stable humidity Beautiful plant. Fan leaves with Triched out patterns visibly everywhere. Even though i chopped quite a bit off of the plant, i still got quite a bit bigger yield than i expected. All sizable nugs. Pulled 65 grams.

I’ve been busy but so was her in growing up…a victim of the dogs but she pushed through…I had hope. Give thanks!

HARVEST@DAY84!!! Took way longer than i expected to finish but it was worth it i was going actually going to give it a couple more days to wait for some more brown trichomes but she started to get a few nanna's so i cut her down. i could not tell how chunky the buds really were underneath all of the leaves. thiccness from the main colas all the way down and alot of frost. Smells heavenly. chemical and gassiness. Will absolutely be growing the rest of the seeds i have next time around. She was more sensitive to the light and i topped her a little early are my only complaints. i didnt have a big enough scale so couldnt weigh her wet. will post dried weight. its a nice yeild for me being my first grow. she smells dank Super happy!!!!

The plants were so crowded I decided to put them into a Larger tent to allow some light to the lower bud sites and to help lower the humidity amongst the plants. I'm sure they will love the extra space. The light has now been raised 20cm (20cm taller tent) Allowing me to turn out right up which is 45000 lux in the centre right below it. I will up the bloom to 2ml/l this coming week.

Next week I will cut the plant.... Gorilla Glue #4 Week 11 It continues to grow....
