Seedling managing 93F 30%RH, around 20 DLI. Vpd is in the 3's. No I don't recommend. Signum Magnum. The plant nutrient nitrogen exists in forms with both positive and negative charges. Ammonium (NH4+)(immobile in soil)(Cation) has a positive charge, while nitrate (NO3-) (highly mobile in soil)(Anion)has a negative charge. Nitrogen is unique among plant nutrients in that it can exist in both positively charged (ammonium, NH₄⁺) and negatively charged (nitrate, NO₃⁻) forms in the soil. This makes it a special nutrient. In that it is responsible for providing balance for reactionary trade offs when it comes to ph. Because ph itself in the medium will always slowly drift towards acidicity, such is nature. 80% of nitrogen should be nitrate and no more than 20% ammoniacal nitrogen. Ca, mg, and K are the big 3 cations related to soil composition, pH & base saturation. When nitrogen is in the form of ammonium, it can compete with calcium, magnesium, and potassium for absorption sites in the plant root. This competition can lead to a reduction in the uptake of these other essential nutrients. Nitrogen, particularly in its nitrate form (NO3-), can increase soil acidity, which can also affect the availability of calcium, magnesium, and potassium. The form of nitrogen applied (ammonium vs. nitrate) can influence its interactions with other nutrients. Ammonium nitrogen can have a more pronounced negative effect on the uptake of calcium, magnesium, and potassium compared to nitrate nitrogen. Common forms of ammonium nitrogen include ammonium ion (NH4+), urea, and ammonium compounds like ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate, and ammonium phosphate. Common forms of nitrate nitrogen include potassium nitrate (KNO3), sodium nitrate (NaNO3), calcium nitrate (Ca(NO3)2), and ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3). Phosphorus is an essential plant nutrient, and its availability in the soil is strongly linked to the presence of oxygen. Plants primarily absorb phosphorus as phosphate (PO4), and oxygen is a key component of this molecule. Furthermore, the availability of phosphorus in the soil can be impacted by factors like soil aeration and temperature, which in turn affect the oxygen supply to the roots. Phosphorus uptake in plants is most critical during the early stages of growth, particularly within the first few weeks of plant development. Young plants actively growing tissues have a high demand for phosphorus. They may absorb up to 75% of their total phosphorus requirements within the first few weeks of vegetative growth, with up to 51% of uptake happening overnight, primarily in the first few hours or early nightfall. ⑨Anaerobic root respiration, or respiration without oxygen, is detrimental to plants because it's less efficient and produces toxic byproducts, leading to reduced energy production, nutrient uptake issues, and ultimately, root damage and plant stress. ⑨Anaerobic respiration, unlike aerobic respiration, doesn't utilize oxygen as the final electron acceptor in the electron transport chain. This results in a significant drop in the amount of energy (ATP) produced, which is necessary for various plant functions, including growth, nutrient uptake, and maintenance of cellular processes. ⑨In the absence of oxygen, plants produce byproducts like ethanol and lactic acid during anaerobic fermentation. These byproducts can be toxic to the roots and inhibit their function, ⑨When oxygen is depleted in a medium, the pH tends to decrease (become more acidic) due to the production of metabolic byproducts. This is particularly relevant in biological systems where aerobic respiration relies on oxygen as the final electron acceptor. ⑨When oxygen is scarce, plants may switch to anaerobic respiration. This process produces carbon dioxide (CO2) as a byproduct. ⑨CO2 dissolves in water to form carbonic acid (H2CO3). This acid lowers the pH of the medium, making it more acidic. ⑨Anaerobic conditions can impair a plant's ability to regulate its internal pH, leading to a drop in cytoplasmic pH and potentially cellular acidosis. ⑨The change in pH can also affect the availability of certain nutrients to the plant, as pH influences the solubility of micronutrients like iron, manganese, zinc, copper, and boron. ⑨The lack of oxygen in the plant medium leads to a decrease in pH due to the production of carbon dioxide during anaerobic respiration and impaired pH regulation within the plant. In plant cells, cellular acidosis, a drop in the internal pH of the cytosol, is a significant stress response, particularly during conditions like flooding or hypoxia. This acidification can be triggered by a decrease in oxygen levels, leading to the production of metabolic byproducts like lactic acid and CO2. The plant's ability to tolerate and recover from these conditions depends on its cellular mechanisms to regulate pH and mitigate the effects of acidosis. When plants are subjected to low oxygen environments, such as those experienced during flooding, anaerobic metabolism, which produces lactic acid and ethanol, becomes the primary source of energy. This can lead to a build-up of these acidic metabolites in the cytosol, causing a drop in pH. OXYGEN Atomic oxygen (single oxygen atom, O) is the lightest form of oxygen, as it has the lowest mass of the oxygen molecules. Oxygen also exists as a diatomic molecule (O2) and an allotrope called ozone (O3), which have higher masses due to the number of oxygen atoms combined. Atomic Oxygen (O): This refers to a single oxygen atom, which is the most fundamental form of oxygen. Molecular Oxygen (O2): This is the common form of oxygen we breathe, consisting of two oxygen atoms bonded together. Ozone (O3): This is an allotrope of oxygen, meaning it's a different form of the same element, consisting of three oxygen atoms bonded together. Since atomic oxygen has the fewest oxygen atoms, it naturally has the lowest mass compared to O2 or O3. Ozone (O3) Lifespan: Ozone has a relatively long lifespan in the stratosphere, particularly at lower altitudes. For example, at 32 km in the middle latitudes during spring, ozone has a lifetime of about 2 months. Oxygen (O) Lifespan: Atomic oxygen, on the other hand, has a much shorter lifespan. At the same altitude, its lifetime is about 4/100ths of a second. Ozone-Oxygen Cycle: The ozone-oxygen cycle involves the rapid exchange between atomic oxygen (O) and ozone (O3). UV radiation can split molecular oxygen (O2) into atomic oxygen (O), which then reacts with O2 to form ozone (O3). Ozone can also be photolyzed by UV radiation, creating atomic oxygen again, which can then react with O3 to reform O2. Dominant Form: The partitioning of odd oxygen (Ox) between ozone and atomic oxygen favors ozone in the lower stratosphere. This is because it's highly reactive and quickly combines with other molecules to form stable diatomic oxygen (O2) or other compounds. While the exact timeframe varies depending on the specific circumstances, its lifespan is typically measured in nanoseconds or picoseconds.

It’s now showing pistils pretty well, and I got some critical peyote from Barney farms In a napkin right now There is a little burnt tip on fan leaves I think too much nitrogen since it’s in the big pot and the leaves are dark green. But looks good happy I picked the internodes during preflower too

All looking healthy and they’re thriving. Just waiting for defol day. I do leaf tucking from time to time. I will change nutrients starting week 4 and add green sensation as give in the plagron feeding schedule.

Day 63 Fiona handled the defoliation really well so I LSTd her one (last?) time. I think the intense stretching is over and from now on all that will grow are her many (!) flower sites 🌸 First pistels showing and you can already smell her. Day 66 Fed her 2l with half the recommended dose of nutes. She is so happy with life right now, she started praying 🙏😍 She is not growing in size anymore so the daily LST sessions are over. Day 67 Just when I thought Fiona couldn‘t make me any prouder, I found a calyx that seems to indicate she is going to develop the red/purple optics promised for 60% of the strain‘s plants 🤞

Weather here is still fantastic, hot days, partially cloudy, cooler nights. Long term forecast are excellent till the end of September, probably till mid October. No news to report, I'm just waiting for buds swelling, these are the slowest days of my life. The halfway point has passed, now I am just waiting for the buds to gain weight, trichomes are turning milky with few amber. Lots of beautiful brown pistils are filling the buds, a ridiculous amount of resin is covering everything (I really won't know how to handle this super sticky stuff). Unfortunately, the flower size ratio is still disadvantageous compared to that of the sisters but the structure of this plant is sublime, practically apart from slender branches, sparse and thin leaves, it is composed only of beautiful dense buds, with a perfect ovoid shape, in need of little trim. Aesthetically a feast for the eyes. The mites infection is stable. From tomorrow the definitive defoliation begins, a little at a time. Flushing started, last feed Monday 14th. Harvest time September 26/27 or earlier.

2/1/2024- Pre-Germination Activities Day 1 I have 21 weeks until final photo is do.. I took 3 seeds out of cold storage and will let them get to room temp for the next 48 hours before I go with Glass of water for germination. I have 3 beans because I will start from the very beginning helping ensure I present the best Pheno. This is going to be a fun one.. I am a few days away from being able to clear my tent out for this run.. I have a breeding run in right now and the Seeds are a few days away from being mature enough for me to take down the girls. Once I get them down I will need to get my tent cleaned up and turned over right away. This is going to be close, I will have to time them to the water and into the tray at the right time.. because I will need to get lighting on them right away.. I have my 2X2 and my light ready incase I need to hold them in the cloning machine if the others are not done in the next few days.. Glad I have options that can stretch me out for a week or 2 to give me a little more time. 2/2/2024- Pre-Germination Activities Day 2 I checked on my breeding run to see how close the seeds are and if the tent is ready for me to clear and clean but alas I am still going to need a few days. I setup the emergency 2X2 and that should give me 2-3 weeks. The plan is to still wait one more day to allow the beans to warm up to room temp and then drop them in Water sometime tomorrow. Form my Emergency 2X2 I have the following: 4" inline fan and carbon filter Fan VS-2000 light 2/3/2024- Germination Activities Day 0 - Dropped the Beans in.. Today is 0 day.. Go.. Go .. Go.. 2/4/2024- Germination Activities Day 0-1 - Checked in on them this morning and no tap roots yet.. covered them back up and back in to the closet they went. I setup the Root Riots and the Seed tray for them. I Ensured my water that I was soaking the root riots in was PHed to 5.8 and I used RO water. Afternoon Update: Checked on my Breeders and they are done. I started to harvest them, I took down the one I had reversed with STS and I took down the Black African Magic- All but one bud, I wanted to get some pics of that one today. I was only able to get 2lbs into the Cannatrol because I had to be very careful to keep the bud from the plant that was treated with the STS separated from the other seeded bud that was pollenated from the plant I reversed. Cannatrol could have held an additional 2oz of wet but not today. Ideally I need 1 more Cannatrol so I can take an entire Tent, but will figure that out. I put an additional 1.5lbs into the freezer to wait it's turn into the Cannatrol, I would have left it on the plant and taken it in 4 days when the dry cycle gets done but wasn't sure how much 2.2 lbs was equivalent to chopped and wet trimmed. 2/5/2024- Germination Activities Day 0-2 - Checked in on them this morning and 2 of them have very small tap roots out.. one still doesn't going to give them some more time. I will check in on them this evening and see if they are more open if so I will transfer the ones that are ready to their medium and seed tray. 2/6/2024- Planting Day TRUE Germination Day 0- Checked in on them this morning and all 3 of them have tap roots out. I broke the bottom of the tap root for #1 which was the biggest.. pretty sad.. I hope she survives.. I tried to be careful it just snapped off when I was trying to get it in the root riot right. Other than that all three are now in their in-between home in the 2X2 while if finish clearing and cleaning out their forever homes. 2/7/2024- Germination Day 1- Checked in on them and no surprise no sprouts yet. Sprayed the dome to moist it and light spray to the tops of the Root Riots. 2/8/2024- Germination Day 2- #3 is popped and it looks like #2 will be popped by this evening.. I got my second Cannatrol today so now I can take down the rest of the tent and get it into the dry/cure. 2/9/2024- Germination Day 3- #2 is popped as well.. so I have #2 and #3 up and still waiting to see on #1 but that might be a loss since I accidently broke off some of the Tap root when transplanting. 2/10/2024- Germination Day 4- #1 has Popped... We have ignition on all 3.. YAY!! I finished clean up and install of RDWC system, this time was unique the back left buckets 3 inch pipe wasn't seated correctly so I had to clean up about 12 gallons of water all of the floor. I also had two leaks coming from one of the Waterfall return junctions, this is why I do a full pressure test before I put anything in. I will continue to monitor it through tomorrow to ensure that I am good to go and then I will finish setting up the baskets and prepping the water to be ready for the ladies planting day!!! 2/11/2024- Germination Day 5- #1 Of course is going to be my trouble plant.. No matter what If she lives through planting in the system and making it, I think I might not cull her at all regardless, she has been such a problem, makes me wonder if she will be super worth it towards the end.. We will see as we go through this grow, but #1 has a piece of the shell on the leaves, Other than that I set up a new thing I have been doing since last grow converting my Baskets into Sure plants so I can see exactly where the water is when I plant them and ensure I have the water up high enough that they are able to access it and grow but not too high were they are drowning. 2/12/2024- Germination Day 6- Everything seems to be going good.. will just keep them moist and let the roots grow for a few more days before I transplant to forever home. 2/13/2024 - Germination Day 7- Just keeping them Moist. 2/14/2024 - Germination Day 8 - Planting day.. they are now in the system.. :-)I had to fill the water to the bottom of the basket where I could see water on the bottom rocks and just coming up where I had created my whole/ sure plant. 2/15/2024 - Germination Day 9- Top fed just a little to keep them moist and encourage root growth towards the water. I ensured the PH is right at 5.98-6.02 range. 2/16/2024 - Germination Day 10- Top fed just a little to keep them moist and encourage root growth towards the water.

Day 28 and we are in flower !!!. The Purple monkey have really accelerated their growth this last week and have been building flowers for the past 3 days. They are all really healthy looking with nice strong limbs to support the upcoming fruits. There are 2 different phenotypes by the look of them with #3 being slightly different to the other 2 . I have been gently shaping them towards the pots edges without stunting their growth too much vertically. They are very long limbed from their stretching and the nodes lengths are a fairly medium distance from each other so won't be forming donkey di#$s buds but should have some very nice cluster buds with their overall indica leaning sides. At around 18 inches tall and still stretching, these girls could be great yielders. No signs of any issues at all with the addition of the sumo boost which will support the flowering cycle but won't stop the stretch as other boosters can do. this means I can use it from the start of flowering. Banana mash have spent the week stretching past rhe tries and opening up for light. They are a little behind the Monkey girls but are showing starts of flowers now. Their limbs are a lot less solid than the other strain too with a loose limbed appearance more like a bush. 2 of them have been set in a more splayed out mainline approach to keep them low and get the lowers into the canopy too .i have included some pics of the lst to show howbi did itThey have a lot of potential mains now that the apical dominance has been broken. hopefully a ring of buds should form on them both now. the #1 is more natural with a topping only to stop her getting too tall. She has some nice mains forming now too. The Mutant Banana is a really odd lady. she has so many growth tips close together in her bunched up appearance. She is starting to stretch now so will finish quite good I think. I have been growing out 2 seeds that came from previous grows of exotic strains. sadly the pollen "donated " came from another breeders strain but hit most of the crop on a couple of buds so gave me seeds. i am testing a couple out with this run so include them for their exotic connections. The mango cream X is doing brilliant and had to be supercropped over into an s shape to hold her down a little. def female so far and growing very quickly. The Exotic ? is just starting her real growth now but will be a squat lady by the look of her so far. no idea which she is but will be an interesting grow out for fun. The fact that one went into flowering already is a good sign of an auto genetic at least. So there we have it growmies another week done and exciting times ahead in flower. be a safe and well.

As you can see here they have gone a much darker green thanks to the amendments starting to get broken down by the microbes. I will be doing some LST and FIM this week to ensure a bushy plant ready for the outdoor by the end of the month.

7/12 Soil was a little damp so I watered lightly only what looked like it needed it. Dr. Zymes seems to have no negative effects. Plants just look super clean. I still saw some patches of PM and I only had the free samples so I'm going to have to use another product in conjunction to treat this. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the Dr. Zymes. HAD MY VIDEO AND TONS OF PICS UPLOADED BUT THIS SITE WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO SAVE. I'LL UPLOAD THE REST LATER "IF" THIS EVEN ALLOWS ME TO SAVE. Went back over at three and watered the girls. Everything looks amazing. Trying to upload video now. 7/13 Didn't water this morning. Plants look fantastic. Went over at 4:30pm. Things looked great. Definitely stretching. I took some good pictures. Didn't water as plants seemed VERY happy and soil still had a little moisture. I gave them a touch of kindness which means I gave them a tiny bit of water to hold them over until morning. I know this is not a good practice to get into but I didn't want to come back to wilting plants. The little seedlings are turning more lime green (which isn't good) and have some yellow leaves. They have recycled soil from last grow. May need to feed more. I went through them and moths flew everywhere. We have a major brown tail moth problem here. I know I just sprayed Dr. Zymes but I'm going to have to spray BT. I must've seen at least half a dozen moths. On just those three tiny plants. Still struggling with PM. 7/14 Went to the garden briefly this morning. It rained last night and was drizzling while I was there so I obviously didn't water. Its still sprinkling and I'll be over there later to check. Plants are really stretching into "the asparagus" stage as I like to call it lol. What will eventually be a bunch of colas stretch into what I think looks like asparagus spears. That may be part of the reason why some of the leaves turn yellow and die in the lower middle canopy during this time. Everything looks great though and I certainly have plenty of leaves. I looked at last year's diary at this date and got some relief noticing the same things happening last year at the same time of year. UPDATE: Went back to the grow as the "rain" and "thunder showers" weren't producing much water. I checked the soil and it seemed to have dried out some (more on smaller bags) and hadn't FULLY watered the plants. I watered lightly. I listened and I could hear the water work it's way down the medium. Even if it pours tonight plants will be ready for a feed tomorrow. The 3 little ones in buckets outside especially. I have work to do tomorrow. 7/15 It's overcast today and looks like rain. Forecast called for a nice sunny day. Anyway I fed two gallons to nutes to the garden and did some slight defoliation. I had to hurry as I had a doctor's appointment. I have branches that need to be tied down and plants need to be cleaned up a bit. If it's not raining I may do a preventative BT spray. We have a HORRENDOUS outbreak of brown tail moths. I don't think the bother cannabis but they are poisonous and the rash that develops is hell. 90 degrees at 6:30 plants weren't totally dry but the top inch or so was so I gave them a good drink. Took some pictures and a video I'll upload when I have a better connection. Cop was watching me. Good thing I'm in a legal state and my grow is totally on point. 7/16 No water this morning. Soil was still wet. Plants are looking good. Will update more later on. Defoliation, pruning and spraying are on the agenda. Made a video and took more pictures but internet is spotty and doesn't want to upload. Went back and watered lightly before a massive thunder storm dropped sheet rain for like an hour. Internet is still slow so I'll have to wait till tomm to upload. 7/17 No water. Brown tail moth rash is driving me crazy. Plants still stretching and look overall healthy. Defoliated some this morning. Will update more later. Went back over and gave a little water before it began to downpour. 7/18 Raining with what looks like more rain in the forecast. Good. Hopefully will help me lower the pH a little. I didn't take pictures or even go in the cage this morning. This brown tail moth rash has me scared lol. It really sucks. Makes poison ivy seem pleasant. When rain stops BT will be sprayed.

Week 8! Day 58: 2L (pH6.8) + 1ml CalMag + 1ml PK13-14 Today I learned that CalMag contains about 5% nitrogen. So, her nutrient solution comes down to about a half dose of 5-13-14 with added calcium and magnesium - kinda. More importantly, I assume it thus would be worth trying to abstain from CalMag just before harvest. Also, she seems thirsty and since her last nutrient solution was a week ago, I figured we might as well try a half dose of PK13-14. I'm aware she's still got the organic feed, but I'm also curious to learn whether this will burn her again - now that she's bulked up. The remainder of the week will probably consist of watering. Day 59: Still damp Decided to try and even out the canopy further. Remaining two highest branches have been pulled outward, light has been lowered. While the highest apex still reaches about 900 PPFD - which is more than ideal - the entire canopy now receives on average 600 PPFD, while slightly turning down the light intensity from 85% to about 80%. Addition: after browsing other diaries; the Northern Light Automatic strain information pages on Growdiaries.com, and RoyalQueenSeeds.com, I noticed that about 10 weeks after germination is her expected harvest time. That's one week out! I'll thus dial down on the nutrition and keep an extra eye on her water consumption. About half of her pistils are still white. If those start to turn rusty and her water consumption slows down, I assume her leaves will also start going yellow. With the nutrition solution of yesterday she should hold out until harvest, so any leaves turning yellow this week won't be caused by a deficiency, I assume. Day 62: Soil is dry but cool to the touch, no water Nothing much going on currently. She's done most of her bulking I assume. While the soil is dry, she's not showing signs of thirst so I'll water her tomorrow. I'm curious whether watering will increase the bud size. Day 63: 2L (pH6.5) bottom water. Opened up the tent about an hour before lights-on to water her with 2L tapwater pH-ed at 6.5. Instead of the regular top watering, I gave her a royal gulp on the soil and poured the rest in her runoff tray. Day 64: Humid, no water. Some extra defoliation of withered leaves. She won't be needing those as we're nearing the last week. There's the sporadic amber coloured trichome here and there. I've picked up advice saying that, when in doubt, you should give her another week or so and check again. Enjoy the last picture of this week, the money shot!
