8/19/2023 Day 46 Veg: she is finally starting to develop some additional branching. I've been LST and leaf tucking. I was thinking about doing some additional defoliating, but I don't want to slow down her growth anymore. 8/20/2023: started the subirrigation today, with filtered water with a 6.0 ph. 8/21/2023: she is definitely reacting positively to the bottom watering. She was praying more than usual this morning, so hopefully the growth will continue to puck up speed now. 8/23/2023: defoliated a few more of the big fan leaves, to allow more light to the lower branches. 8/24/2023: had to fill up the water again for the subirrigation. Used plane water with a 6.2 ph. Plant is doing great.

Bonjour à tous les padawans et maîtres jedis Jour 31 arrosage avec 2 litres d'eau ph6.3 à laquelle j'ajoute 4ml de rootboster cellmax, 3ml de cellmax bio organic bloom et 3ml de cellmax bio 8-2-2 par litre d'eau Jour 33 pratique de la technique du topping (voir video) je précise que si cette pratique simple combiné au pinçage d'apex (voir semaine précédente) est faite au bon moment peux offrir un très gros rendement même si le rendement n'est pas mon but principal ma curiosité me pousse à essayer ces deux techniques combinées. TOPPING (ÉTÊTAGE) Les plants de cannabis poussent verticalement. En le faisant, les feuilles nourricières et branches se mettent à pousser horizontalement ou en diagonale à partir de la tige principale. Le topping ou l’étêtage implique de couper la tige principale de la branche verticale entre les nœuds. Essayez de le faire avec des ciseaux ou une lame de rasoir stériles. En coupant la tige principale, deux branches secondaires vont se développer en devenant des tiges principales. Elles pousseront à la diagonale au lieu de pousser vers le haut, ce qui rend le plant plus court et plus facile à gérer. L’étêtage évitera au plant d’avoir une croissance ressemblant à un arbre de Noël. Cela aidera à donner au plant de cannabis une forme plus adaptée aux environnements de culture en intérieur. Vous pouvez continuer de le faire au fur et à mesure de la croissance des branches. Vous pouvez tailler la partie supérieure de chaque branche et faire pousser un plant bonzaï dément. Assurez-vous simplement de ne pas aller trop loin et de ne pas vous retrouver avec quelque chose d’incontrôlable. Certains cultivateurs recommandent d’attendre environ 30 jours dans la vie du plant avant de procéder à l’étêtage. Il fait subir beaucoup de stress et un jeune plant pourrait ne pas pouvoir le gérer. Nous vous recommandons aussi d’attendre une ou deux semaines après votre première session d’étêtage avant d’en commencer une autre. *=UPDATED=* Not to much to add this week, I plucked a lot of the lower leaves off to prevent them from getting to close to the growing medium and having some disease issues, plus increases some air flow. Also plucked a few of the top fan leaves that where blocking the lower buds from the light. Don't think this is proper defoliation so I did not check it off as a grow technique. The plants are really starting to smell more and get a lot of trichomes on them. When I'm in the case and smell each plant, they all have different terpene profiles. one is very lemon and pine with a hint of sweetness, one is quite sweet and berry like with lemon notes "my fav", another is just more so woodsy pine smell and the last one is mildly sweet smelling with something else I could not pinpoint. one setback is the case fan I was using died out, i think the heat inside the tent and operating for so long got to it, it was an older fan to start off with so not overly surprising. It started to have a hot electric smell to it, like wires or rubber getting to hot. I manage the case heat by propping its door open on a angle. still keeps temps at 25c (77f) Other then that I don't think they grew to big vs last week, one plant is starting to get some more purple in it, I like purple colour on buds. maybe the leaf plucking set it back a bit, can't imagine the plant would enjoy that happening to it. Trying to post little fly over videos every week of the case to give better idea of plants and what they are looking like. will try and get a macro lens closer to trichomes and see what they are doing in terms of clear cloudy and amber for next week, may give me a hint as if ill harvest week after that. *=UPDATE=* I didn't want to wait till next week to post trichomes so took some photos with a clip-on Macro lens for my phone, not the best but looks pretty cool. mostly all cloudy from what I can tell. one plant has a bit of amber on its sugar leaves but not its bud.

Eva had a real good start in her week 6. The pre flower is doing and she looks great. Until … until the day where i saw the banana‘s. I am sad and it is hard for me to make the decision that the grow is now over for Eva and she Can no longer Continue. Bye bye Eva 😢 I have written Fastbuds with an E-Mail and they send me a new seed with the Strain Frostbanger as guarantee case. seeds: Montel Iced Tea, Body Count, Bubbles Blueberry F4, Ricky’s Hash Plant, Black Tangi Tea → standouts / "otherworldly" These are clearly your current stars — better structure, resin, and overall quality than most of the others you've tried. Auto Flowers: Humboldt Seed Company — best autos you've grown. Extremely resinous, especially the OG Triploid. Top tier for autos. Fast Buds — very close second. Super fast, nice flavors, reliable. You like them a lot but note they're in a different class (not fair to directly compare to Humboldt). Why RQS Strains Underperformed The 7/10 rating and "needed a lot of power to switch to flower" comment is classic for some RQS genetics, especially certain autos or hybrids. Possible reasons: Genetics: Some RQS lines are finicky about light schedules or have slower/more reluctant flowering responses. Mike Tyson 2.0 and Corkscrew apparently needed the 12/12 flip to finally push. Light/Environment: With five tents running, light penetration, spectrum, or intensity might not have been ideal for these particular strains. Autos can be sensitive to stress during the transition. Nutrient response: They may have needed more phosphorus/potassium or different ratios to bulk up properly. The fact that you had to force Corkscrew into 12/12 at week 20 and it's now only "OK" suggests it was a slower or lower-yielding pheno for your conditions. Strong Performers Brothers Grimm → These sound like the real winners in your tent right now. Brothers Grimm has a reputation for unique, high-quality landrace-influenced genetics with excellent resin and flavor profiles. "Otherworldly better" is high praise — they clearly thrive in your setup. Humboldt Seed Company autos → Excellent choice for resin production. OG Triploid is a standout for trichome density. Fast Buds → Reliable, fast, flavorful — a safe, consistent auto line. Recommendations Going Forward Double down on what works: Keep running more Brothers Grimm (especially the ones you loved). Stick with Humboldt for autos when you want maximum resin. Fast Buds for speed and flavor. 3/30 4am Pink Kush CBD is SLOW.... she never really recovered from early problems, I LOVE this strain, smoke and smell are 10/10. Getting ready to flip to flower in a week or two with some trellis work. I should've shaved the legs of these ladies but I was unprepared for clones this week so I'll probably shave them this weekend. I'm happy with the results thus far. 🎋🌲🍃
