Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Good plant overall, wish it was a bigger plant because bud structure is very nice Had a little bit of spider mites but took care of it quickly, overall handled the heat very well and this one had no bud rot Will run this stain again since I have some more seeds, hoping for a bigger phenotype next time :)

05/06/2021 - Day 14 - First day of the 3rd week. MEMO: I'm using the following "names" for differentiating the two both in comments and pics: 🅰️ - "A" for the one transplanted in the garden soil and that will NOT receive any nutrient; 🅱️ - "B" for the one that will grow in the pot and that will receive nutrients. 👉 "A"is struggling a little after the transplant. Probably suffered a little or maybe she is focusing on the roots, idk. She is little if compared to "B" but she looks healthy so lets' go. 👉 "B" is GIANT! compared to "A". Can't say if the reason is the pot, the fertilizer, the luck or just the difference in transplant time, anyway she is flying 😂 Stem a little bended and unstable because he overgrew and had to cover it last week but not a big problem. Summer has come, sun is warm, all perfect. This week I'll probably proceed feeding "B" with "Easy Grow Booster Tablet" by RQS. Wish me good luck and let's hope in sunny hot days 🤞☀️ - DD ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── UPDATE 10/06/2021 - Day 19 👉 After a lot of rain starting right today 7 days of feeding with "Easy Grow Booster Tablets" by RQS for "B" as planned. 👉 Also started some LST for "B", not for "A" because I think she is still to small :(

This gul is getting Phat, ran into some NANNERS, got a few on the plant, picked em all off. Will harvest a week early probably. Excited to see if it makes any viable seeds if it pollinated at all, don't know if they would be sterile or how that works, as it was already pollinated by a female plant to be feminized in the first place. I do think I caused the nanners in this plant from giving it to much LST late into flower trying to dense up the buds. the Humboldt Seeds webpage said its about a 9 week grow or 60-65 days till maturity at 30-60g/plant. So I am pushing it a bit already, I like the 13 week timeline just as a number, however I think it will be best to chop at 10 or 11 for this one. Will know if I don't post next Saturday as I will be waiting for the dry and yields.

Steady healthy growth ive found no spidermites so far. Very chrystaline very beautiful. Very good recovery from spidermite damage so far.very exited to see how this goes. Red diesel smells very sweet and fruity other ones smell very strong but more earthy.

Trimmed two fan leaves to encourage horizontal growth, watered today with fert. Gently bending leaves downward with hands. Everything seems ship shape.

Last week Veg completed. She has grown into a very robust structure and is at peak health. Can definitely see the results of the LST, since we’re going into flowering with many developed shootings that will manage to reach the top with no issue. Choosing to train when working with small spaces is a no brainer. Temperatures are starting to get lower as days go by too, which is great news. Looking forward to watch this gorgeous girl flower 🤩

20cm vertical growth this week. Going well into flowering. Pretty much on autopilot 😎

Chopped on day 80, hanging in 65F and 62 H. Hoping to slow this dry down to 10 days so wish me luck.

Tag 77: Seit heute die volle Düngemenge! Nur das Klima ist ein Krimi 😱 wir haben aktuell hier viel Regen, zwischenzeitlich recht warm, also ein ewiges hin und her. Gestern hatte ich dann schon die ersten Trauermücken 😩 Da hab ich nicht lange gefackelt und Entfeuchter in die Grow Boxen gestellt, dafür ist es nun aber mindestens 1°C wärmer in den Boxen. Wenn es draußen nicht zu warm wird könnte es klappen.wenn..... Tag 80: Aktuell haben wir hier ein Subtropischen Klima, ich habe Temperaturen in der Box von bis zu 28°C, Abkühlung in der Nachtphase ist auch nicht mehr möglich. Doch meine Pflanzen stecken es soweit gut weg, sie sehen sogar noch vitaler aus 😍

Lovely smell 👌 Complex bouquet 💐 Nice super sticky trichomes production 🚀 Buds very dense 💪 I'm actually in love with this pheno 😍 I can't wait to try her true taste after a couple of months of good cure.. And more.. But probably I will do a first test in a month and half.. And after that I will post harwest Anyway.. Now , I think to cut her in a couple of days ✂️ So , see you in a few weeks for the final upgrade.. Fat Banana doubles in size this week and starts to develop some true leaves. Taken out of the humidity dome & moved a lot closer to the CFL now, roughly 4-5 inches. Roots looking healthy and developing nicely, will be transplanting in the coming week to a slightly larger pot when I'll also introduce some 1/4 strength veg nutes.

Day 67. Finally I have decided to harvest a part of the plant first and let the other one mature a few more days. Because i left the other part of the plant maturing I cant use the cabinet to dry her. So I had to make room in my closet. Humidity is 45-55% and I have added a small PC fan to move the air a little ... the last time I dried there it took at least 10 days. I'm happy with the result to be my first minigrow. The development of the plant has gone well despite my screw-ups and has given a lot of buds, I hoped they would have been a little more dense, but it was my fault to subject the plant to an excess of nitrogen. Let's see how the second cut is going, I hope they get more fat :D 1st cut weight wet: 110 gr. Minigrow 2.0 will be much better!
