Week 8 begins for mandarin dreams and divine storm. All four ladies are frosty, sticky and the mandarin smell is incredibly strong. August 23: Just finishing up about 36 hours of darkness, then I'm going to wash the buds, then hang them. Harvesting a bit early due to time constraints but it looks good. The smell is very dank, not a tropical skittles smell, much more like wood glue as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, although I'm starting to occasionally catch a sweeter tropical scent as well. I wanted to leave it a little longer. There were still a lot of white hairs when I started the dark period, but a lot of them seem to have developed into swollen calyxes so I'm pretty happy. I was a little worried they were making seed pods after last time, but I broke one open and all that was inside was red hairs. I'm going to keep an eye on the RH while they're drying and get them into jars and try to wait as long as possible before I start sampling. I can tell this is one of those batches that's going to get better and better if left alone for a couple months. Just did the wash, did 1.25 cups of 34% food grade H202 and a squeezed lemon in a 5 gal bucket. Another bucket of just water to rinse. Then I had a fan on it while hanging in the sunlight from a skylight in the bathroom for 30 min, then put the fan further back and on oscillate, then turned it down an hour later. Left it in there for a few hours, then hung it in the grow tent with everything removed except an oscillating fan, pointed away from the buds. I have the whole plant hanging in the middle of the tent and the tent is holding at 60% rh. Next run I'm going to do 2 buckets and only top once. I might leave them a bit longer in veg too to maximize the height in my grow space, and I'll get a proper 500w bulb instead of continuing to run 1000w bulbs at 50% to lower the heat a bit. The weather will be cooler and I'll only run one air stone in each bucket which should help with res temp. I'll probably foil-wrap the buckets again as well. I should be able to get another run done by the end of the year. I have a White Widow fem seed I've been waiting to use but I'm not sure what else I want to grow yet. Maybe Granddaddy Purp. I'll take some micro pics of the trichomes this week and start curing, and I'll post a proper review in a couple weeks. Happy growing everyone! August 24: I took it out of the tent to inspect. No mold or mildew. The middle of some buds are still pretty wet. I'll keep an eye on it. Wet weight on the stem is 158 grams/ 5.5oz. I harvested a couple branches last week and hung them up. I just ground up one of the buds, left it overnight and vaped some today. There was a bit of Chemdawg Tangerine in the grinder already but overall I got a lot of thick vapour, instant effects, and a really great tropical taste. I busted out the microscope camera and I realized I had a couple buds that fell off before I washed the plant in the H202, and a couple buds that came off in the washing process. It doesn't look like washing the buds took off any of the trichomes. I do seem to find less debris in the buds, not that there was much there before. The trichs look great. Just a light toasting of amber. The washed bud actually seems more dry than the unwashed bud. August 25: there's a real chlorophyll smell coming from the drying room today, it was much terpier yesterday. Leaves are getting crunchy, stems are still fully bendy. I ended up taking it down in the evening. The drying room rh dropped from 60% to 55% and the buds were starting to look too dry based on my last grow. I put it all in a paper bag for the night and I'll put it in jars tomorrow morning. Broken down most of the way it came out to 48-49 grams. From the bud structure, I definitely feel like it would have benefitted from more grow time if I didn't have to travel. More to come. August 26 - the edges of the buds are getting really crispy and the buds are getting tighter. I checked the paper bag earlier and it was 65-70%. I got the impression it was time to put it into jars. I'll keep the lids off for a bit.

Started alternating Biodyne and fish tank water feedings with light EHG Grow + Micro to maintain a steady nutrient uptake. CalMag pellets are doing their job—no deficiencies showing. I’ve also added a preventive Neudosan spray due to early spider mite issues spotted on other plants in the grow. Holding off on heavy training for now—may top or tie down later this week depending on growth pattern. 2 of my Blueberries were root bound one more than the other.. i transplanted them into soil in a bigger pot. I Have a bunch of strains going on but one vegging mother soon ready to get in under the CFL. Loving the HPS tho wont go back to LED any time soon. Feeding with CANNA terra nute line and using the last Bud candy and big bud from Advanced Nutrients before going full canna. The monster crop was a succes but it took long before shooting. Hope my other clone will do better. I have a very healthy strawberry banana that will be my motherplant as well as a sweet valley kush that are just a seedling now. I am very happy with the HPS from phillips it work wonder in my oppinion :) I started 12/12 as well this week

I took everything out of the tent and disinfected it again. The pots have made the tent base into a ball 😅 The velcro tags fell off long ago. I decided to put some new ones on. I have some wider velcro that I would've preferred to use, I have misplaced those. Anyway, these will have to do. I also made some large pot markers to velcro to the pots, too. I figured it would be easier to recognise the plants in photos if I made some. I laminated them, then attached the velcro to the pots and pot markers. [I get bored] 😅 make everything as fun as possible 💚 I ended up finding some sticky back velcro rolls. Of course, there's no way that it would stick to a slippery surface that gets wet from humidity. So, I used my glue gun and added strips to each side of the tent liner and tent walls to hold ot in place. The 8 gallon pots are very heavy after being watered, and the liner has suffered. Hopefully, this will work to keep it in place, at least for a while! 😅 7.5.25: I also had to clean my pots, as you can see in the photos (if you want, lol). They had got very mouldy/mildewy/fungussy. 🤢 also the under side of the tent liner. So it was very lucky that I decided to clean it at this point. Or else I could have serious issues. I'll look into the ventilation as I'm not exhausting the tent because I leave the door open with very strong airflow. I did spray the plants with Trace, and I used a lot of it. So, that probably ran down the walls into the base of the tent before it dried 🤔 that could have easily caused it. I'll have to make sure I dry off the walls after I use it next time. I certainly don't want to keep cleaning everything. The plants are delicate, and unfortunately, however I try, it appears I am not. I'm always snapping branches off by just watering, let alone removing them from the tent to clean! 😅 you can imagine. Accidental defoliation? 😉 I also cleaned the light, but I have noticed on one light that there are brown spots, which won't come off without damaging the LED's. I really don't want to have to buy a new light. The par isn't great for full flowering. I just can't justify buying a new one right now, as I've already bought 2 in a year. The light has been turned up to 100%, gradually, over the course of a few days. It has been fairly warm so I moved them further away too, as i don't want them to get heat stress, as I have already noticed a few leaves canoeing and having a taco on my dime! 🤨🤔😅 I'll continue to monitor and adjust again when possible/necessary. 9.5.25: Hulkberry has certainly started her stretch! I'm really low on space to train her out, and the light has been turned up to full power. She has begun to drink more, and I gave some more dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with ♡ 1/4 tsp of Greenleaf nutrients Sea K(elp). PPM: 800 PH:6.4 I am very pleased with the recent growth spurt, so let's hope I can accommodate her! 😅 9.5.25: It's a necessity to keep the soil moist. That means I need to water more often now. Today I watered with 1.5 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 which contained: ♡ 1/5 tsp of Sea K(elp). By Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 1/4 tsp Ecothrive Biosys. PPM: 564 PH: 6.4 12.5.25: Hulkberry was very dry, surprisingly. Although I guess I've been giving her less. She was fed with a high dose of Ecothrive Trace: 7ml/7l. She was fed with 6 litres over the course of the day. PH:6.4 PPM: 515 I had added this as a foliar spray last week, and it has apparently damaged some leaves. This was an overall amazing strain to grow i had little to no problems with this plant. The ease of growing it was great because as being a newby to growing weed for personel use that was super helpfull. I liked how the smell was strong from day one and just how she grew so fast . i would recommend this strain to anyone because it smells great piney , citrus, earthy sticky . Dinafem did a great job of making my life super easy when it came to growing it . As long as i can get a priper cure on this bud it will be amazing smoke for sure.. I hope anyone who sees the journal enjoys it and ill be doing more in the future i love this forum and the other amazing growers out there ..it says 8 weeks its been hard maintaining entries at first and timely so she is over 8 weeks flowering when i chopped it..smoked some of the plant that was chopped up alittle while before this girl tastes very good and the stickiness of the buds is very impressive i would like to enjoy this plant and grow her again some time ...

She's done! Whew! I can say that this wasn't my easiest grow. She had some issues in the beginning, due to over fertilizing (see diary) but she managed to produce some beautiful crystallized nuggets. I flushed her for a week but she looked so ready, and she's so loud, I had to chop her down. Stay tuned for the smoke report.

Week 7 Flower We've finally started flush 💦 on Day 43. I still run EM1 at 1ml/ltr as it goes a long way once activated/stretched. It's always going to be a benefit to keep any microbes you can in the coco. You can also use Mammoth P throughout flush, but due to its price I just stick to EM1 in flush. There's plenty of other microbes that can be used too. I flush around twice the pots' volume at 6pH. But before flooding the pot I slowly pour water through the centre of the pot, around the stem, in order to take a true reading of the ppm and pH of the run off. If the ppm/ec reads a lot higher than your average feeding throughout bloom, then there's been issues such as a lockout, incorrect pH, over feeding etc. This wasn't the case, as this girls' was at the right level. If the pH is too high or low, I adjust the pH of the rest of the water that'll be flushed to try to fix it. Again, this wasn't the case with this girl as she had a perfect pH 👌👍 Just before all of the water has gone through the pot, I take one last reading from her last bit of run off. The ppm should be down to no more than 100ppm for the first flush (+starting ppm of water if using tap water). After the first flush the ppm value of the run off will quickly go all the way down to 0, or at least below 50ppm (+tap water ppm). I use tap water that is between 150-190ppm, but I'm looking to switch to RO as soon as I can. I still get a very good flush, but I think using RO water will be the next step in getting a more thorough flush as it won't contain even the small amount of nutrients and metals that tap water contains (along with any harmful chemicals). Always remember to bubble or let the water sit for 24-48hrs before feeding to your plants. That goes for all feedings in every stage of growth if using tap water. Because I keep fairly low temps in the Den she's starting to turn a beautiful dark purple. Her buds are still swelling and smelling like a nice gassy OG, with hints of citrus/tropical fruits. I'm really looking forward to taking this girl down, but after at least another week! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺
