Just finished week 6 and I have to say she is looking so healthy and started to fill out lovely now 😀 gave her a couple of leaves trim as they was starting to overgrown the leaves below and wanted to give the plant much more light to help her grow to her potential. My earlier worry about being stunted with early progress issues has well and truly disappeared as you just continues to grow from strength to strength! Happy days happy growing !

Week 5: Transplant Time & Root Power! Oh man, this was one of those weeks! We transplanted all five phenos into bigger pots, and let me tell you, they’re thriving! (Check out the complete video episode for all the details 😉). The girls are looking amazing, all pretty much the same size for now, so I don’t have any favorites yet—but let’s see what the future holds! For photos, I used both my Nikon P900 and Sony A6000, with a bunch of lenses and filters to preserve the true colors—these LEDs are powerful! Current Setup & Conditions This week, they’re still chilling with their sisters in the big tent, but in about a week, they’ll be moving into the TrolMaster ecosystem for even better environmental control. Watering: pH 6.06, EC 0.96 Temperature: A bit cold , but it is what it is. We’re facing some freezing outdoor temps (as shown last week in the frosty veggie garden pics!), yet these Runtz are holding strong like true champions. 💪❄️ Nutrition: Still on the Aptus Clean Program, with: Regulator System Clean RO Water Conditioner All-in-One Liquid Root Development: The Real MVP! Let’s go deep on roots! The mycorrhizae in the Pro-Mix soil has been working its magic, and I’m still boosting them further with a touch of Aptus Holland Mycor Mix. The root development on this transplant was insane—super white, healthy, and ready to explode with growth. What Are Mycorrhizae? The word “mycorrhiza” comes from Greek: • Myco- meaning fungus • Rhiza- meaning root Mycorrhizae are a type of beneficial fungi that form a symbiotic (mutually beneficial) relationship with plant roots. These fungi extend far beyond the root zone, creating an underground network that helps plants absorb water, nutrients, and improve overall health. This is not a single species but rather a whole category of fungi, mainly divided into: 1. Ectomycorrhizae – Live on the outside of plant roots, forming a sheath around them. Common in trees like pines and oaks. 2. Endomycorrhizae (Arbuscular Mycorrhizae, AMF) – The most beneficial for most crops and cannabis. These penetrate root cells, forming structures inside the roots that exchange nutrients. Where Are Mycorrhizae Found in Nature? Mycorrhizae naturally occur in forests, grasslands, and undisturbed soils worldwide. They play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance by helping plants access nutrients from the soil. In a natural environment, plants are constantly forming relationships with these fungi. However, in modern agriculture, excessive tilling, chemical fertilizers, and fungicides have reduced their populations, making supplementation necessary in many cases. How Do Mycorrhizae Work? Once mycorrhizae colonize a plant’s roots, they start forming an underground fungal network called the mycelium. This network extends the plant’s reach into the soil, acting as a second root system. Benefits of Mycorrhizae: ✅ Enhanced Nutrient Uptake – Mycorrhizae help plants absorb phosphorus, nitrogen, and micronutrients that would otherwise be unavailable. ✅ Improved Water Absorption – The fungal network can reach deeper into the soil than roots alone, helping plants survive drought conditions. ✅ Stronger, Healthier Roots – They promote thicker, more robust root systems, reducing transplant shock. ✅ Better Soil Structure – They produce glomalin, a protein that improves soil aggregation and helps retain moisture. ✅ Natural Pest & Disease Resistance – Healthy plants with strong mycorrhizal relationships tend to be more resistant to soil-borne pathogens. How Mycorrhizae Help in Cannabis & Gardening In controlled growing environments, using mycorrhizae is a game-changer. Since cannabis relies heavily on phosphorus, the enhanced nutrient uptake provided by mycorrhizae is especially beneficial. Best ways to apply mycorrhizae: • At transplant – Dust roots with mycorrhizae powder or mix into soil. • As a soil drench – Some liquid formulations allow fungi to colonize even after planting. • Mix into your growing medium – Using pre-amended soil like Pro-Mix HP Mycorrhizae ensures roots have early access. Pro Tip: Mycorrhizae need living roots to survive! Avoid using synthetic fungicides or excessive chemical fertilizers, as they can kill the fungi. Think of mycorrhizae as a natural root booster. They’ve been around for hundreds of millions of years, helping plants thrive in all conditions. By using them in cultivation, you’re mimicking nature, ensuring your plants grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient. When used correctly, mycorrhizae can increase yields, improve plant health, and reduce the need for synthetic inputs—making them a must-have for any serious grower! Can’t wait to see how they’ll look in the next transplant! I made a few changes to my improvised photo studio, including a pink background for now—because why not? Let’s keep things fun and full of color! 🌸📸 Massive gratitude to all our sponsors and of course, a special shoutout to Zamnesia, Plagron, and Grow Diaries for making this amazing cup happen. 🙌 And to the community—followers, supporters, lovers, haters—I love you all! ❤️ Let’s keep pushing forward, learning, and making this grow legendary! Hi all I hope you had a wonderful Christmas 👍 So I got curious a few days ago and decided to have a fiddle with one of the buds from the Girl scout cookies plant. I let it dry in a paper bag first and then had a sqizz at it. After I tore it apart I was pleased to find a nice fat healthy seed (see 1st pic) well after that I thought to myself Bloody hell mate there must be a heap more of those fellas in there then, so with that in mind I harvested the whole plant. After that lot was dried I tore into it looking for more seeds (see video) but unfortunately I only ended up with the three viable seeds the others I found were either green or already damaged. Not to worry as atleast I have those three to attempt germination with which is better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick as my old man likes to say. Ive partaken in a few bonghits as I write this of the Girl scout cookies bud that I harvested and I can tell you its some nice shit man 😁 The Gelato Plant will be harvested tomorrow and Im hoping that may have some seed aswell. The whole purpose of this experiment was to cross the Barneys Farm Red Diesel Feminised Pollen I created with a good tasty strain in an attempt in creating seed. So as far as that part goes & even tho I only got the three seeds I feel it was mostly a Success. I will definatey need to refine both my Pollen collecting and Pollinating techniques to achieve better results. Thankyou to all who followed along I enjoyed doing this diary. Now to see if I can get the seeds to Germinate .......................................................................Update 3rd Jan 2020 I have got one to pop and the Diary for it will be called Ginger Nuts

Hello hello! Cream cookies is getting her final flush today! Lets see how she develops this final week. I will let her medium dry, then harvest. The buds are getting deep colors, are nice and big but could be a bit more dense. I am eager to smoke her. Very inviting pungent cookie dough smell from her is filling the tent. For her flush: 3ml L Flashclean until 20% runoff then 20L icewater and pot full of ice cubes.

👉Its week 11 and the plant is looking beautiful. Lots of bud sites all over the plant. The plant is looking healthy and seems to be thriving. The tips of the leaves on the new growth at the top of the plant show a brown. I had a day when the outflow of the fertigation was +30. I did a low EC fertigation right away and more regular EC. Since then Ive kept the run off within 10 by preceding ever other fertigation with a low EC feeding with just enough volume to get a few mls of run-off. On the GHE drain to waste feed chart Im on Mid-Bloom mixture. I am guessing it may be 2-3 weeks before its in 'late bloom' stage. Im still mixing full strength and the EC for a batch is 1.5ms. While I believe that by allowing the run-off of fertigation to reach +30 is what cause the brown tips. Im also mindful that I may need to dilute the batch a little. To see the effects of nutrient/media issues it can take a couple of days if its subtle. So if I continue to see the bright green tips of new leaves turn brown then Ill lower dilute the mix. Ive seen no other possible indicators of negative issues. 👉The plant is filling out nicely all over. Marble sized fuzzy pearls are scattered all over. There isnt much aroma besides the typical young cannabis plant smell. Ive squeeze a couple small buds, there are visible trichomes and its sticky to touch, but no notable aroma. The trichomes are coming out all over the place and it should make for a very fuzzy plant. 👉I have removed a couple more small branches and shaded leaves and will only take vegetation that is showing issues or totally shaded and showing lack of vigor. I have installed the bamboo steaks that I will use for support for the branches. I attach them to the metal posts attached to the hoop around the base of the pot. This keeps the steaks out of the media. The Plant is 36" and the early flower stretch seems to have slowed. I have 6 more inches of light adjustment height before I have to resort to spreading the light supports and angling the lights to allow for more height. 👉This coming week should be more of the same as 99 slowly matures. I have a new fan that I may install. Currently I have a 4" 190cfm exhaust fan (vented outside). I anticipate as temperatures drop outside my tent temps with rise like they did last spring. Im not using a cob light this time and surprisingly the temps have stayed steady at 78-80. The new fan is a 6" and 440cfm. I have a variable speed controller to use on it and will hopefully be able to have more control and success at maintaining cool temperatures better during the more mild weather (sounds convoluted I know).
