Herrrrro gang! Welcome to another week of Daank's grow! 8/2: Brought back the Great White. I was reading that it works well in conjunction with other root excelurators, like Rapid Start. I got 2 more temp/humidity sensors for the tent. It allows me to keep track of 100% of what is really going on, I find it to take away worry (b/c temps are very important!). Today was a "eureka!" moment in terms of understanding run-off pH and it's value to telling the grower how healthy the plant is and what nutes may, or may not, be needed. I also got some new LED glasses so I don't burn my fucking corneas when tending to the garden - they are phenomenal and I suggest them if you grow with an LED. Check the videos and photos. Pistils are growing rapidly and baby budlets are starting to form. I'm actually getting a nice subtle purple color - it's very neat. Today's run-off pH was 6.3, and I gave it 6.3 for water - so that's a good sign (I bounce the pH all around from 5.5-6.3). I'll keep track of this moving forward in the diary. Minor defoliation. ***Pro-Tip: If you're wondering what the run-off should be... around +.5/-.5 of what you put in is good. By the end of this week I assume we'll be in full swing. Day 39: I have ordered new nutes, Advanced Nutrients. The reviews, photos, and research all point to using this for the best results. I found them to be a bit expensive, but if I can always get perfect pH values without much of a hassle... I'm down. They will be here by end of the week and I'll transition that over this weekend. I can't wait. Day 40: 8/6 - Advanced Nutrient nutes arrive today. Watering will be a pleasure. The plants look great. The buds are real. Small smell. Trimmed last night quite a bit for bud production. They love George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue". It perks 'em up.

Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. I am approaching the harvest with a cane, another 2 weeks and she will be ready, She has made beautiful fat buds and there are many of them. Now she can only get fat. 😉

Growth has been very very slow due to bad rainy and cold weather. My hopes are not the highest for this one :/

Hopefully will be starting flush next week seeing how it is, gonna do a two week flush, yes it is coco but I want a proper flush this time round so o can get that thick white ash we all know and love instead of some nasty dark gray/Black.

There wasn’t a lot of noticeable growth this week as there has been prior. This plant can take anything you throw at it though. I dialed up the nutrients to level 12 and it didn’t even phase her. I did trim som of the worthless lower branches and leaves early in the week. Sorry about the video. The rotate button isn’t working

So we are now in week 5 of veg !!! 4 weeks left until I flip the lights ! Everything is going well they have grown exponentially in 1 week !! <3 <3 I can deff tell the structure will be much different then the Obi's . They've seem to have adapted well to their new homes and are loving every minute of it! Gonna be topping these young ladies in the very near future ! Day 29. Garden is just perfect. Will update more after first feed, monday - most likely !!! Day 30. Its Jungle officially !!! ;))) Size of some leaves impress and gives big hopes for me a lot ! Girls are super strong and healthy, thinking to do defoliation session at the end of the week. First feed done ! Next watering they will get silica acid. Day 31. Plan change in feed, they got Great White Mycorrhizar tea, next watering will be without aditives and then Silica acid. Girls are very healthy, so healthy that powdery mildew not far away ;))))) had to take down loads of leaves to improve air circulation. Heavy defoliation for most big girls, all bottoms cleaned from weak branches, HST to all toped plants too... But size of leaves!!@!! All girls are very strong plants, really nice genetics from Zamnesia ! Happy Growing !
