BrokenBow's Indoor Grow

Tent setup, seeds planted and popped within 4 days (no germination, just dropped in the soil about 1/4" down) kept the soil moist with spray bottle. No nutes yet.

Day 8 - Still no nutes this week, just PH Balanced water. Plants seem to be a little short right now, so i raised the light a few inches to try and get them to to stretch out a little more. Everyday there is a noticeable difference in leaf size and the new nodes are coming through nice and healthy. At this rate i'd say they will probably be ready for their first dose of nutes by the start of week 3. I added a bit more soil to the base of the plant just to make sure the stem had a little more support. I don't find any smell coming from the tent, but as you get closer to the pots they definitely starting to have a faint kushy smell to them. Gave up spraying them down with the bottle, just use the bottle for measurements and split 500 ml evenly amongst the plants as the soil gets dry. Day 12 - gave the girls their first feeding, seem to be OK no nute burn yet (day 13). There is a lot of new leaf growth at the nodes. Still too short to start LST. Hoping by mid week 3 they can start to get tied down. Going to stop watering every 24-30 hours and try and push it to feeding every 3 or 4 days, maybe a light watering if the soil dries up in between.

Day 19 - started LST. Probably not the greatest, but tried to expose as much of the lower bud sites as I could had to tuck some of the larger fan leaves. They seem to responding well to the nutrients no burn or defeciencies, may try and up the dose after this batch.

25 days from sprout - Ran into a few issues this week. For starters, the exhaust carbon filter cover got clogged and was not exhausting any air. I didn't notice for about 24 hours tent temp rose into the 30s. I was able to wash the cover now its working fine again... Was a bit disappointed it didn't last a month without getting clogged. Then a couple days later all the girls were drooping and the leaves were clawing in towards the stem. After talking with some people on forums they suggested they were overwatered and experiencing nutrient lockout, I've stopped nutrients this week and starting bottom feeding the plants with ph balanced water, two look like they have bounced back but one is still looking droopy. On the plus side they are all showing white pistols. The og kush seems to be a bit ahead of the two northern lights. I also took out the wire for LST as I was worried the plants were already over stressed and they might die or herm.

Day 34 - had a bit of a nitrogen defeciency this week that's why the lower leaves were yellowing. I removed some on the yellow ones that were pretty much dead and only a couple of the leaves that I wasn't able to tuck to allow more light to the lower bud sites. NL 1 is still a bit droopy she has been sick for a while but seems to be doing much better after I changed up the nutrients amounts. Right now they are on a water, feed, water schedule. Seems to be about 2-3 days before the pot dries out. I am top feeding about 1/3 and bottom feeding through the tray the other 2/3.

Day 38 - plants are looking great, especially the NL 1 which I am very happy about. I watered the other two girls about a day earlier than NL 1 just to let her dry out a little more and she has rebounded nicely. Buds are starting to form nicely on the OG kush, she looks like she is a week ahead of the Northern Lights girls. Doesn't seem like it but they have grown a few inches from last week. No major issues this week, some minimal defoliation to expose lower bud sites (new ones popping up everywhere). NL 2 was the runt of the litter during veg, she even sprouted a day later but she is now the tallest of the bunch. Can't wait to see their growth over the next week😎.

Day 44 - we've had some really hot weather this week accompanied by low humidity... Probably the only problem this week. NL 2 had some purple show up on the leaves, I don't think it's a defeciency (I hope it's not) but it does look cool. OG kush is getting more and more amber hairs and the buds are forming nicely. Not much to report on NL 1, she is doing well. Northern Lights still seem to be way behind the OG kush... Think I will be harvesting the OG well before the NL.

Filter sock clogged up again, I just took the whole filter off, I'm not worried about the smell as it's outside in my shed anyway. Still warm and dry out this week, humidifier barely lasts 24 hours and that's just to keep the RH above 40. Trichs developing nicely, few more weeks to go for sure.

Getting close to chop time, another week or so. Monitoring the trichomes every couple of days, looking for about 5-10% amber. Not too enthusiastic about the NL 1, going to let her finish but probably end up using most of it for butter or bubble hash... She just does not to seem to be developing trichomes like her sisters mostly from being stressed so much.

Started to flush them halfway through the ninth week. We are into the tenth week now and the OG is fading nicely. Trichomes looking good on OG Kush and NL 2, looking better on NL 1 too. Sorry about the blurry microscope shots its hard to keep a steady hand and get a screenshot. Monitoring the trichomes daily should be harvesting OG Kush within a week.

First Indoor Grow I messed up quite a bit, overwatering, nutrient lockout, not enough soil and perlite ect. But, despite all that I got some good looking bud and it smokes good so I am content. Learning more and more through experience and will get better as the grows go on.

Excited to try this strain, it had very nice buds with a really pungent smell. I harvested at about 5% amber. I ould have waited longer but my vacation is ending soon and I wanted to have it all cut up and drying/ curing by the time I go back to work. Again, despite my shortcomings the plants turned out fairly well. I will update once they are dry and cured with a smoke report.
