Fifth week and the signs of the beginning of flowering are now clearly visible. As I had already announced, at the beginning of the week I defoliated again, and this girl reacted very well without being affected. This week she drank a total of 2.5 L of water, 1.5 L with nutrients and 1 L of water only, and grew to 45 cm. She looks really healthy and continues to grow. The lamp was dimmed to 75% all week, but I increased it to 100% on the last day of the week, still at 30 cm. Flowering is starting, and I'm really curious to see how this girl's flowers will develop. Ready for week six? Let's see where this Northern Light takes us!

By the looks of the trichomes these are almost ready. Looking at the hairs though it looks like it could be a bit. We will see how things turn around in the next 2 days. Harvest is set for Saturday.

We hittin' ‘em with that monkey formula from Advanced Nutrients – you know, that real fire mix – and it’s got them lookin' strong as a pitbull on steroids, no lie. We runnin’ on straight osmosis water too, keepin’ it clean as a whistle, no extra BS in the mix. pH game locked down, always in that sweet spot, and the girls are drinkin' it up like a hot summer day down in Miami. Roots be spreadin' out nice, no signs of stress, they lovin' the setup. Buds are startin’ to stack up, slow but sure. Ain't much frost yet, but I can already tell we about to be drippin' soon. Nodes are tight like a fresh taper fade, and internodes ain’t stretchin’ too wild – just the way we like it. Them leaves stay green as a gator's hide – no burn, no spots, just straight up healthy growth. They dancin' under the lights like it’s a party, and with that 12/12 cycle locked in, the energy’s flowin’ like good vibes at a block party. Everything solid so far, no issues. Yo, we keep it patient, ‘cause this the marathon, not a sprint. Week 3 comin' up, and that’s when we expect to see them trichomes really startin’ to come through. Hey guys, it's been a great journey but I've finally hung my Stardawg out to dry! Yesterday was their last day totalling 8 weeks on flower. Realistically they could have benefited from a further week because the lower buds are somewhat underdeveloped but then I would risk losing the preferred sweet high smoke of the top buds. With this being my first attempt it's been a great learner not only for how to care for the plants but also the environment. As soon as these went into flower and started stretching I knew that putting 6 in a 2.4 x 1.2m tent was a bad idea. They just got so big which is the cause of the lower sites not being as good as the top colas. Despite that I'm really happy with the outcome and I'm hoping ive got 30oz+ of real good quality nugs. All of the top colas have turned a gorgeous violet colour too which you can see on the pictures and I absolutely love. For my next grow I've gone with 6 fastbuds strains which hopefully will go under a scrog. Check back next week for the harvest and weigh in!

This plant was an absolute dream to. Grow, no issues at all with health of plant, just struggled to tame her as she was a a thick strong climber 💪💪. I'm so impressed with how this turned out, I could have flushed for another 3 days to make it 12days but I needed the space. After The 2 days of dark I was recommended I can definitely say it has vastly boosted her trichomes and the smell when I opened the tent blew my head away 😍😋 Aiming for a 10-14 day hang dry, The 10-12 weeks curing in jars with humidity packs. I will update with a dry bud weight and smoke test 👌 Bud wet weight is just 500g+ Final bud dry weight is 298g. Of juicy resinous purple and orange buds 😍 smells like sherbert and hang dry smoke test revealed a candy sherbert, no banana yet but hoping like the grow it matures with cure process now. Hits eyes straight away, sandy bottom kids, giggles, munchies, fun time with Mrs, bed. Well it was a fast strain just like they say, it comes and goes in 8 to 9 weeks easily, I just added a week to fatten up the buds, I am very impressed what these boys in Cali are creating, kudos FB! I am sure I will be satisfied once I get to actually taste my cookies. PS - does anyone know if i input my Grow room size correct, my tent is 80cm x 80cm x 100cm, thanks for any help!😋00

After week 2 the two Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barabara Bud) plants were transplanted into their final container, a plastic pot with 11 liter of soil (light-mix) in it. Now the roots can continue to develop rapidly and the plant growth is amazingly fast. At day 18 the plants are almost 20 cm tall already and look VERY healthy as you can see in the videos.

Hello Diary, Purple Lemonade has reached the end of its journey, its last week because I harvested it two days after taking the photo. 73 days since I put the seeds in the ground. 65 days since the start of the vegetation. Really very fast, although that has somehow become the standard on my little "Farm". But I am still fascinated by how quickly a plant goes through its cycle when it has the most ideal conditions. I don't necessarily mean myself here, I try to give the plants the best I can and know how. As you can see in the photos, the result is impressive. The flowers are large and showy, the branches bend under their weight. The main cola is especially noticeable because it is covered in flowers full of trichomes that create a frost effect. The smell is very intense at this stage, the whole room smells like plants when I open the grow box. Watering was standard, every three days. This week I stopped adding nutrients, I just lower the p.H. to 6.0 and water the plants with clean water. After taking the photo, it was in the grow box for two more days to drink all the water from the soil so that the drying would be more efficient. Before cutting, I removed all the leaves from the plant to also make drying easier and have less work to trim the dried flowers. But also to prevent the formation of potential mold. After cutting, I left it upside down in the grow box to dry. Now there is that last step to see how much Purple Lemonade really rewarded me. See you when that happens. Here's what the last week looked like. 19/09/2024 - Day 57. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH to 6.0 and used that amount to water all three plants on the farm. 22/09/2024 - Day 60. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 24/09/2024 - Day 62. I watered them all with 1.5 liters of water each plant so that they were fresh for the photo shoot. 25/09/2024 - Day 63. End of the last, 9th week since Purple Lemonade began its journey. Photo shoot. 27/09/2024 - Day 65. Purple Lemonade has been harvested. That's almost all from me for this diary, there is still the final report that follows after drying and testing. Thank you all once again for your support and comments.

Day 28-35 Mistake d28-29 (videos) Shortly after transplantation, I tried to LST the plants by making a bend in the main line. However, I did it too quickly and without proper preparation. This ended up more like a HST. The poorly developed roots suffered from the force coming from the bending. I also happen to have increased the DLI from 25 to 30-32 which surely didn't help. The result of this was stomped growth plus leaf scorch mainly caused from roots damage and lack of hydration/nutes intake. Fortunately, they did a nice comeback during the following days. Plants 1 and 3 survived the pinching d31 Plants 2 and 4 were topped from severe pinching d31 Grow room was updated to final setup d34 They are drinking like healthy plants d34 Controls setup: DLI 32mol RH 60% Temp 24.8°C Plants fan 30m/15m - on/off Extract fan >= 25.3°C
