Hello Growmies, As we round up week 5 with our Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid by Zamnesia, the growth has been nothing short of impressive. The choice to employ low-stress training (LST) rather than topping has paid dividends, with the plants responding well to the gentle guidance of their growth, seamlessly integrating into the SCROG setup. This method has allowed for an even canopy spread, optimal light penetration, and air flow, which is critical for the health of the plants and ultimately the yield. Observing the Watermelon Candy's development, we see a testament to our cultivation methods. The vibrant green leaves reaching skywards, the sturdy stems, and the strategic placement of each branch in the SCROG—every detail points towards a successful vegetative phase. In terms of environmental control, we've applied the lessons learned from our other strains, maintaining a stable and ideal VPD during the day with the Tent-X system. The nights, however, have brought forth the same challenges we've faced with other strains, showing fluctuations in VPD levels. The integration of the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is anticipated to solve this, and we are optimistic that this change will bring about the consistent conditions needed for the Watermelon Candy's continual thriving. Even with the small hiccup in the nighttime environmental control, the plants are flourishing. The robust health they exhibit is a sign they're ready for the flowering phase, and we expect nothing less than a bountiful harvest. And while we've experienced a bit of frustration with Secret Jardin and Mars Hydro for the integration challenges, we appreciate TrolMaster's efforts to assist. We are hopeful for a resolution soon, or we may revert to the reliable Prima Klima setup. Medium: Coco and Leca mix in 1L grow bags transpl to 5L bag Lighting: Greenhouse light by day, 600W LED by night Nutrients: EHG Micro & Grow, Biodyne, CalMag pellets, Phytha tonic, diluted fish tank water Training: Starting early LST Plants are now entering Week 5 of veg and responding well to the environment. The roots are well established in the 1L bags, and new growth is looking lush and vibrant. Started light LST to encourage lateral branching and even canopy development. They're drinking more now, so I’m adjusting watering frequency accordingly and alternating between fish tank water + Biodyne and a mild EHG Grow mix. Sprayed Neudosan as a preventative measure against spider mites picked up on Blue Cheese. No signs of pests or stress so far on the Supercheese clones. CalMag pellets are helping maintain strong leaf development and overall vigor. Planning to up-pot soon if growth continues at this rate. I sowed cantaloupe bag seeds directly to flower box drip irrigation.I transplanted my white widow seedling to flower box. So the new line up this run is cantaloupe, blueberry, Girl Scout cookies and white widow. Cantaloupe seeds sprouted and i will keep the most vigorous grower.bb is throwing pistils.GSC is producing first set of true leaves. At the end of week 2 cantaloupe has first leaves so does white widow. My Gsc has first set of true leaves and my blueberry is putting out pistils and trichs.Things are going well

This is part of a gentle, prolonged flush phase I like to implement, giving the plants a chance to metabolize and fade naturally. The goal is to promote clean, vibrant flowers that finish with optimal expression, without rushing the process. No forced flush, just time and care. Lighting-wise, the spectrum has been tuned with precision — we’re currently running 40% on the whites, with reds and UVs at 100% to drive trichome development, resin production, and color expression in these final days. The plants are loving it — they’re soaking in the deeper wavelengths that signal the end of their life cycle and responding with a final push of energy. And yes — we’ve been running 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness from the very start of flower. It’s not the usual 12/12, and it comes with its pros and cons. On the upside, it helps speed up ripening slightly, encourages more compact flower formation, and mimics the natural seasonal decline in daylight. On the flip side, it slightly reduces the overall DLI (daily light integral), so you need to ensure your PPFD and spectrum are dialed in just right to avoid sacrificing yield. Chopped tonight so not weighed them yet will do tomorrow if I can. Ended up with 290g for 5 plants But 5 same seeds and 5 different pheno's. Judging by the looks the heaviest weight is from the one I topped . Already weighed one plant got 28g dry weight. Got 4 more babies chopped tonight
