This strain was above my expectations. It grew bigger than I expected, and in the end the buds were just beautiful and covered with resin. The smell is nice with herbs, earth tones and sweet lemon. While the moisture levels were high in the greenhouse, she had no mould at all which is great!

The Bio Tabs nutrition had thusfar given me strong and healthy plants. I can recommend then to everyone who want to grow organic.

This was an exciting grow! The Gorilla Cookies grew very well in the greenhouse and was very resistant to pests and mould. It grew beautiful resin covered buds with a wonderful smell. Shoutout to @nonick for advising to harvest later than I planned. The yield was so much better because of it. I immediately deep froze half of the buds to make bubble hash and live resin. To prevent the trichromes from sticking to the sealbag I put a double sheet of parchment paper in the sealbag. This will hopefully make sure no trichromes are lost when making the bubble hash. The rest, including the main cola has been wet trimmed and are drying in the dry tent. The wet weight of the harvest was 750 grams which is more than I expected. The first vape of the scissor hash gave me a good first impression of the taste and effect. The taste was a mix of earth tones at first, followed by a herbs and finishing with citrus. It's quite different from other strains I grew up until now. The high was an active head high, followed by a mellow body stone. Not too much, making this a great strain for the end of my work day.

Happy Growing, Buddy! 🌱🌱🌱

@nonick123, haha yeah it says 10 weeks from seed to harvest on the website, but all diaries here have harvest after week 11/12. I'm very glad you gave me the heads up bro!

@nonick123, Thanks for the heads up bro! After closer inspection of the trichromes there were more transparent than I thought. I'm definitely waiting a while before harvest.

Zengrower
Zengrowercommented2 years ago
@nonick123, Good idea! The other benefit is that it's easy to pull a black plastic sheet over the greenhouse in case you need to speed up the blooming for feminized plants.

@Zengrower, gracias!
Zengrower
Zengrowercommented2 years ago
@nonick123, it's a bit of both actually. The greenhouse itself is prefab (still a pain to piece together though), and the foundation is self made. Last year I grew a few feminized plants in the greenhouse that got really big. This gave me the idea to place the greenhouse on concrete bands which raises the construction 35cm and also makes it more sturdy and storm-proof.

@nonick123, Hey @nonick123 thank bro 🙏 I managed to extract 25 grams of Bubble Hash rosin in the end, the rest of the buds are almost dry so I'll post the dry weight of these tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing your ladies in the outdoors next year, they will be monsters for sure 😎

Enjoy your harvest dude 😉👌❤️ question, what do you use for extracting live resin? I tried it ones but my freezer ain't big enough to winterize my live resin so I only do "normal" BHO/DME at the moment ,I open blast by the way.

yan402commented2 years ago
@Zengrower, OK now I get it, you press you live resin/Rosin. Thank you for taking the time and explaining how you do it I appreciate it 👍🙏

Zengrowercommented2 years ago
@yan402, thanks Yan ✌️🌿☘️ I first cut my buds to max golfball size portions and put them into seal bags of the size that I used like in the pics above. I can fit about 250gr of buds in a single bag. After that I carefully suck the remaining air out of the bag before sealing it. This way, you can fit about 3 to 4 bags in a drawer of a freezer. I do have the advantage of owning two fridges so there's always space for max 4 bags. After freezing it for 2 to 3 days I extract the resin using icewater and Ice-o-lator bags. Before, I used the Bubbleator/washing machine, but last time I found that manually stirring the ice water and buds resulted in a much bigger yield. After that, mould into a block and freeze the bubblehash, scrape it above cardboard and let it dry (Freeze dry is better, but these devices are insanely expensive). And finally press in a rosin press. I do have to say, it's always a painful moment to chuck 400 grams of my lovingly grown buds into icewater and stirring them with a stick, only to yield 20 or 30 grams of bubblehash. Losing even more weight once it's pressed into rosin. But boy is it worth it once you taste the result.
