Decent Growth this week. No change to the feeding schedule. I started to notice fungus gnats towards the end of this week so I've added glue boards and have started bottom feeding. DE powder may be necessary if the problem persists.

Second week of Veg and they are growing fast , very healthy, no deficiencies , perfect color green.

I was pleasantly surprised with Green Crack as a whole throughout the grow. She stayed healthy throughout her lifespan while producing decent sized colas in bloom. I would suggest a slightly higher temp in late veg, closer to 80-84. I have her hanging in my dry room at 66 degrees and 62% RH. The smell is starting to envelope the room with a strong fruity almost tropical aroma. I can’t wait to update my diary after she’s dry enough to smoke but even more excited to try her after a solid 30 day cure. I harvested one of the Mimosa Cakes last week. It’s in day 7 of drying with about 3-5 days to go. Stay tuned for the smoke results and final weight!

Buds should be dried at 21 degrees in the dark in 50% humidity

Overall a fun and enjoying flower of the purple sunset. She transitions quickly and stretchs fast. Being an indica hybrid she doesn't get too tall, thus creating strong and sturdy branches to hold her fast dense frosty nugs. During the stretch she loves a good amount of grow notes. Week 2 to 4 she starts getting picky. Once she starts to fade, it is time to drop the grow nutes and go into full bloom early in week 4. This cultivar shows more phenotypical expressions depending on climate and flush. She shows huge purple hues in flush. Allowing her to go into week 9 to 11 can result in almost purple buds. She has a nice term profile in flower and once in the jars. Sweet candy grape 🍇 purple punch notes on the nose and on the pallette when exhaling on the smoke. When trimming this girl she was. Breeze to trim. She got a good 8 to 9 days to dry and was then sweat in the jars. When you smoke Ethos purple sunset the indica really hits you like a train. Taking her down at day 52 was a good choice. The high feels like any of the high once u smoke it. You don't start to notice the stoned effects until you're halfway through a big bowl with your partner. As you guys finish, you notice the body stone take in effect as well the heavy chest and trachea feeling which I LOVE. A sense of happiness and relaxation set in almost immediately. Very enjoyable indica high with great terps. I would give it a 10 but that maybe next run once grow her to week 10 flower. Overall Ethos purple sunset delivers. Easy trim✂️ As always first the top buds then after 7 days the lower buds✂️ The smell is divine citrus & ripe cherry super sweet🤤🍋🍒 Imagine if you mix a scoop of amarena & lemon sorbet gelato and you have the smell!

After germinating the seeds are transplanted into small pots with soil (see tutorial in VIDEO above). The soil is prepared with water mixed with a little bit of BIO NOVA Roots (0,5 ml/l), which aids the development of the seedling. Transplanting is very easy now, because they have grown a STRAIGHT tap-root while hanging during the SERIOUS' WAY of germination. This straight root allows for easy potting of the seeds. Simply make a little hole in the center of the soil with your pinky finger and carefully place the germinated seed with the white root pointing DOWNWARDS into the hole. Best is to lay it onto one side-wall of the hole with the seed shell right at the surface. Then I push the other side inwards and enclose the whole root with soil. At the end only the top of the seed-shell peeks out of the soil. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to plant the seeds NOT TO DEEP into the soil. The seedling only needs extra strength to work itself upwards thru the soil and you run the risk of the soil drying out and the seed dying off. When you PLANT THE SEED VERY SHALLOW into the soil (=with the top of the seed-shell still peeking out) your seedling can grow out right away and you have a small plant already 24 hours after putting the seed into the soil. The small seedling sometimes still has the seed-shell on its 'head', it normally falls off by itself, but sometimes you have to carefully help and take it off with your finger nails. Be careful to NOT clip of the seedling accidentally when you do this! The seed-shall has an inner lining, which feeds the small seedling when it germinates. This inner lining sometimes gets tangled around the stem of the small seedling after the shell has fallen off. This little skin MUST be taken off the stem right away! Once it dries up, it gets hard and can strangulate the seedling around the stem. In order to avoid this, the skin must be taken off as soon as possible! I show it in the pics above and also made a video about taking off the inner lining of the seed.

This week was smooth. Setting up for greatness

Black Runtz has the best leaves out of all the strains I’m growing right now. The plant has great structure. I have a great feeling about this one

Now that all plants are in the ground we have started to train the plants by topping and lst, nearly all my autos are transitioning into flower, the semi autos are grow massive will get some close ups on the weekend

I will be growing her again, as I feel like I let her down, by letting her PH drift so low.. Other than that, she grew beautifully, and fumes of potency as you gaze at her! She yielded more than I expected! She's not that far below my previously lowest yielding plant! :)

Didn't bother with the defoliation this week....maybe this upcoming week let's see how she takes to the food first😎
