~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2201 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/15- Here we go into the second week of veg for the FastBuds Tester #2201 girl and she's certainly on a roll! When I checked on her today her medium was still moist so I'll let her go and check her tomorrow. Basically at this point in the run all I have to do is make sure her medium doesn't dry out, fill the humidifier and watch her grow! 🤩 12/17- Yesterday I watered her and increased the amount to roughly 0.25g of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Botanicare Silica Blast (added to begin to help strengthen her branches) and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉. I've also increased the output of the HLG 650R's to 35% which equates to about 230w at the wall which, of course has raised the temp's in the tent so I've also begun to run the A/C unit in the grow room which is keeping the temp's now at 75℉ in the tent. The RH is running around 75-78% RH giving a VPD of .67-.74 which I'll take! 😁👍 Other than what I've mentioned above, all I did was fill the humidifier with distilled water and watched her grow! 🤩 12/19- Today I watered her with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t and 1 tsp/g Unsulfured Molasses added which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I'm now watering through the bottom, filling the drip pan and letting the plant draw up the water into itself. I am also watering from the top, but only just enough to moisten the medium. She is really starting to take off now, a sure sign her roots are beginning to get well developed, and I'm thinking of going ahead and topping her in the next day or so. 12/21- Well, yesterday I went ahead and topped this girl! Hopefully she won't stress out over this and starts shooting out those secondary branches. Today I watered her with 0.25g of straight de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I gave about 3/4 of it into her drip pan so she can draw it up into her medium, the rest I applied to the top of the medium just to moisten it. Well there's two weeks of veg behind us now, Week Three of vegetation is beginning and she should really start to take off! 😍👍 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Two of the plants had little bit of powdery mildew so I defoliated those leafs. Also sprayed them with baking soda, liquid soap and water mixture. Hopefully we don't find any more of that. Otherwise everything seems good they are healthy and growing well.

Plants recovering well …heat is causing some problems in the indica room otherwise all is well …1 more week till flush then 1 more week after that til harvest

Day 24-31 (Day 25) The smell in here is absolutely ridiculous. My last grow didn’t smell even close to this bad in early flower. (Day 27) Stretch is finally all done. #6 in the back is very stout and barely stretched compared to everything else. I doubt it will yield much but I’m excited to see the nice tight colas on it. It seems to be still getting adequate light and raising it up is hard to do with a scrog net so I will just leave it. If it wasn’t getting enough light it would be stretching right? The early frost is really shocking to me. My last indoor round definitely wasn’t this caked and I’ve never had an outdoor plant on this level either. That’s also true in terms of smell too. (Day 29) I’m still debating whether I should feed anything in flower or just leave it. The only deficiency I’m seeing is purple stems from P def which could actually just be from light intensity rather than a lack of P. I’ve done some thinking and I’ve decided to only feed my small plant. What I’m most curious about is if a PK boost will actually make any kind of a difference in flower when it comes to bud size and smokability. So to test this theory I will be top dressing a teaspoon of 0-18-0 bat guano, a tablespoon of 1-4-2 Destiny launch and a half strength watering of 0-0-15 kelp extract. I’m trying to avoid N all together as I just toxed my guinea pig plants with another experimental flowering PK boost that had a very small amount of N in it. This plant in particular actually has very early signs of N def and probably will fade harder than the rest. (Day 31) Shit. Looks like #1 is starting to herm. It’s definitely not environment or light leaks so maybe it’s just genetic or the recent leaching stressed it out too much. Either way, it’s only a single lower branch and I’m prepared to cut her down if I start seeing anymore. I double checked every other budsite but couldn’t find anymore. In my experience true herms usually start pushing bananas out of the main tops and plants like mine can usually be salvaged with little to no seeded bud. But then again it’s day 31, when these things usually start to happen. I’m 50/50 on this one. I will be watching it everyday like a hawk if anymore show up. The breeder I’m using, ‘Jordan of the Island’s’ is notorious for having unstable genetics and this will be the last time I run any of his stuff. The quality is good, certainly better than most European and Dutch genetics I’ve run but I know I could do better where genetics are concerned. I can’t wait to start hunting my archive dosidos x gelato 41 and in house sugarcane.

So this week is a flowering week for the C99, still the shotest in the bunch , stll got those elongated thin leafs growing, she's doing great, loads of flower nodes up and down the main cola and the side shoots too. Added some NPK and some Micro, got the smart protein on the go too. This one really like the extra light and the extra magnesium, she's really promising, really hope i get the result i'm dreaming of . Did a last defoliation last week, these took it in their stride, totally . Any advice is welcome, write me a message if you want

* ***************** Week 1 of Growth From Seed, April 11 to 17, 2020 - Days 1 to 7 from germination ********************** * Okay, we are off running now. Through germination and was delighted to experience 100% success rate👍 Two girls this run and now have a GSC and a GSC2 this run. GSC was chosen for the first to break the surface and while the second GSC to come up is now GSC2, she was actually the third to break the surface. Excited to run this strain from Fast Buds.......there are newer strains but sometimes a classic is good😃 Greater focus on VPD this run. Already pushing the humidity higher than I ever have with having controller set at 72% with temperature at 79 degrees. I have been reviewing the numbers and I have normally been close but it looks like I have to raise everything by about 10% and for a few weeks long😬😬😬😬😬😬 Trust the science and lets learn some more from this grow!!! *****Daily Detail: Apr 11, Day 1: - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml first watering given with nutrients as listed. (minus Velokelp) - pH water to 5.6 - Girls up and looking like they are ready to go. Apr 12, Day 2: - VPD - 1.0 - 500ml feeding with VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, Piranha & Voodoo @ 2ml/L. pH to 5.6 - lowered light intensity a bit more. - Both girls are doing very well. Nice leaf colour and tips are turning up now!! Apr 13, Day 3 - VPD - 1.2 - 500ml water with 0.5ml/L each of Piranha & Voodoo, Dual Fuel. - 300ppm with 5.4pH. Apr 14, Day 4 - VPD - 1.1 - 500ml water with Virtathrive and Piranha & Voodoo Juice @ 1ml/L, VeloKelp @ 2ml/L, and SensiCal @ 0.5ml/L. - 210ppm with 5.5pH. - the girls are very happy and colour looking good. Tips are pointed way up on GSC and GSC2 seems happy but may have a little more going on below the soil right now so a little slower looking. Apr 15, Day 5 - VPD 1.0 - 250ml water with VeloKelp @ 1ml/L. - 95ppm with 5.4pH - GSC really looks happy and hope she is pushing out some serious roots below:) - GSC2 is holding her own looks fine. Apr 16, Day 6 - VPD 1.0 - 500ml water with Piranha & Voodoo @ 1ml/L, Vitathrive @ 0.5ml/L, Dual Fuel @ 0.5ml/L. - 300ppm with 5.8pH - GSC still looking pretty happy and continues to point tips up. - GSC2 is standing up a little more and over looking like a nice. - Moved all the girls today one spot in a clockwise rotation. - Noticed more residual moisture on the bottom of the pots than anticipated. Apr 17, Day 7 - VPD 1.1 - Turned on flower light on UnitFarm this afternoon and they are happier. - Both ladies up and proud to be alive this afternoon. - Dry out day today and no added water/feed, just misting. - Let the medium dry out a bit and give a nice week 2 feed tomorrow.....they are ready for a little more nutrients now.

Hello this is week 8, week 4 of flower 4-5-6 weeks of flower are the most important because it's bulking phase, i have already see trichomes on sugar leaves are forming, which is a good sign! Wish me luck. Day 51 i did a small defoliation to open up the canopy for better light penetration and airflow Day 52 slightly lime green leaves on the top can be caused by low nitrogen in my water soo i decided to ise more Pro Organic Bloom nutrient, or it may can be just because of flowering stage, who knows😁 Day 55 plant is still yellow at the top, i don't know why, it can be either low PH in roots or nutrient deficiency, but PH is 6.8 at roots, so it must be PK lockout, i will stop using full disagree of Big Bud, for a few waterings. It also can be from genetics because i have seen many Wedding Cheesecake with the same issue, so i don't worry too much.

Drying it outisde iwth up to 80% humidity, i am Just praying for mold not to apear.

Little late on the update. These 3 are absolutely beautiful. They'll be getting the chop this week and wow it's been a pleasure growing them. Super fast and easy not requiring any special treatment. Super frosty and have a pungent smell. Happy

Rolling into week 3 from seed roots are starting to drop through the net cups and down into the solution. Growth appears to be a lime green color, which would indicate that they are in need of more Nitrogen (N). One is struggling to keep up with the others and is looking a bit mutated and is not responding well to the nutrients I am using. I am going to add some 5.8 pH water to her rez and see if the dilution helps. Over all happy with the progress so far, Will post again next week with new progress.
