Germinated Seeds through the paper towel method, 100% Popped. Transferred them to Root Riots and into the 8in Net pots of the RDWC system. Applied House and garden nutrients. Base nutrients and additives but all at half or even a quarter strength making sure the TDS stayed below 200. Water Used Is RO and the system is chilled.

Did my first res change after a week, cleaned the system with tap water and agitation bc it was basically sterile. Added week 2 nutrients and kept the TDS low still bc they are babies. Light distance and intensity changed a lot tbh. It was on the high-intensity side though. I was scared I was bleaching the leaves but I was told if the leaves don't curl I should be good.

So we are in week 3 and I am super annoyed. I just feel like the plants should be further along but I am not sure which factor I am missing. FYI the system is 100 gallons of water. My nutrients are not that high and I don't have tip burn or a deficiency to my novice knowledge. The rooms AC and humidity controls are in place, the water in the system is constantly chilled and there are 4 airstones in each unit. I hav worried about the lights for awhile being too strong or not spaced correctly but the leaves have no signs of heat stress. Frustrating lol

So I am super excited did a bunch of research built the system and considered every factor I have come across. I am now into Week 3 from when my seeds popped and I am just sick of seeing them small. I don't understand where I am going wrong

Set your ph to 5.8 set your ec to 400 ppm 0.8 ec, increase every week by 100 ppm 0.2 ec until you reach 1.6 to 1.8 ec. Keep your water cool, your maximum amount of oxygen in the water is acquired at temps of 62 to 68 ° Cheers

Ok guys wtf happened lol. So I have a huge leak from one of my bulkheads. My water level was ruined and after emptying and filling the system my TDS is all over the place. I've added A and B plus Cali Mag because I read somewhere it was hard to over do calmag. I've noticed a lot of leaf problems and my stems seem red. I've read that it can be a sort of tan aspect showing the lights are too bright. Aside from the obvious, any advice would help and I'm trying to reach out more to the community learning that this really is an experienced trade. I'm going to do a fresh change with any recommendations once the new nutes and bucket get in sonI can make a permanent repair. Update guys!!! So I cleaned the entire system with hose water providing pressure and agitation for a decent clean. Drained it and refilled with RO water (110 Gallons). I read your comments and decided to increase the TDS just a tad so that there aren't any differences and If there are any issues yall can see the accurate nutrients etc. I started adding Hydroguard but only a light dose Bc I'm new to the additive and I want to stay under rather than over. I did top the fastest growing plant and it has become flopsy as hell and has huge leaves lmao (Is that normal)? After adding nutrients my PH was Hella low. like 4.5 low. I adjusted though (5.3). Lights have been raised all the way to the ceiling and the intensity is full. I actually included some root pics bc I believe they are getting coated or died by the (Root Excellorator Gold) and I can't tell if its root rot or if the product is having a negative effect. The water is cold enough to freeze a man on a door so idk how root rot could even occur especially with the res changes I do. I also saw those rust-looking marks on the lower leaves but the new ones seem healthy so I am sure It was PH and nutrient issues like yall mentioned. Also got that fkin leak fixed haha.

Hey, guys don't judge me for this one but when you do res changes in hydro where do you keep your plants in net pots while you scrub down? lol. I have been putting them in a bathtub with cold water but how long will they be ok without airstones etc? I just never thought about it

I'd suggest a bucket you can lift and place into... can have your typical formula in there... won't need heavy aeration for such a short period of time... a little temporary home in between.

Hey Guys, So I've been putting house and gardens amino treatment and root accelerator gold into my res and now I'm paranoid I have root rot. res is hella cold at 63 usually and they don't seem to be slimy aside from the gunk on them that I think is those additives. Is it normal?

I use Remo nutrients and I get the same thing sometimes. It’s like a brown gunk on the roots but not slimy and rinses off. Doesn’t ever seem to hurt my plants, but I was worried when I first saw this too. It is normal I believe with some nutrients, I just rinse it off when I see it.

Alrighty, Guys I'm coming to some new realizations lol. Plants are doing way better with new root growth coming from the net pot sides horizontally. I was confused because it seems that a bit of the roots had died or rotted for no real reason. I have suspected the amino treatment and root accelerator was gunking them up. Needless to say, I am almost out and decided to exclude those additives and see what happens. I also ran out of Multi zen and decided to up the base nutrients to compensate. It would be great to get opinions on it all, The prices are so steep and honestly, I practically had the whole line up and it didn't really impress at all. Strangely I have some dc buckets in the center and they are doing really well on just micro, bloom, and cal-mag so save me from making some baizes haha. I noticed that the growth is a bit spread out but they are all from seed so I guess that expected. the bushiest of plants has some discoloration on the leaves but it seems to be killing it so I'm not too worried. At this point, I'd love to get any harsh criticism or to narrow down where I am making these mistakes. I came in expecting to flip from veg in 4 weeks but that doesn't seem possible from seed. I know a lot can be a strain but I still feel like even though I have all these controls I'm missing something. Oh everyone got topped for the first time and aside from some interesting patterns its all gravy baby. Let me know if I need to do something about that missing 400 ml of multizen haha.

So don't freak out but we made some changes haha. Built my veg room "Finally" and decided that the smaller water volume, nutrient savings, energy-saving, etc. All we good reasons to throw the plants in there and I wanted some time to fix up the flower room and correct my mistakes until they are ready to flower. I scaled down the nutrients but that's because there is less water obviously. Started fimming each plant aggressively and have noticed they seem to respond and grow faster after a good beating lol. I'm a bit concerned with the double sf 4000 and how they are now a bit closer but I will just dim them if needed. I'm having a TON of issues cloning and will probably blow up the forum for more help haha. Accidently split 1 of the plants but I have done this so much that I'm not really worried about it unless flower weight will cause issues. I'm planning on scrogging though so that shouldn't be an issue. Let me know your thoughts if I'm headed in the wrong direction or different ideas for improvement. I have to keep my dwc buckets down the center until I grab an sf 2000 to flower a bucket at a time for personal use.

Alrighty, guys. So I learned how PH fluctuations will make your plants look like they are being radiated haha. I'm not sure why but in the smaller system the PH would just keep tanking over and over again no matter how much PH UP I put into it. (Meters good). The plants have now been moved back into the original flower room. I took the opportunity to change things up with the layout. Just made a personal flower room for DWC in a closet and moved some electrical cords and chillers. This is definitely a trial by error experience but I can feel myself getting better and better as the weeks go. I have been FIMMING, TOPPING, and LST. I will have to set up a scrog soon and will update pics once I do the training for the week. Increased nutrients because I'm rocking just the base really. Super excited for the coming week and getting these girls ready to flower.

Alrighty, guys, it's technically flip week butttttt..... Idk I just feel like I should tie these ladies down and add a week of fimming because it would make some real monsters once I SCROG them but I am on a bit of a time crunch. Be great if you guys could comment on my light distance and if my training is decent. Keep in mind I have not cleaned these up yet in the photos and need to defoliate and have considered experimenting with Lolipoping a bit but I'm pretty nervous to hurt them tbh haha. I'm so excited though because I went out of town and expected the worst. However we did have a loss from the personal favorites... bucket was bone dry and while I was able to bring back one a bit it seems the other was too far gone. I do have the spare which I included in the pics. Thought it would be helpful to show how much these things can bounce back from though. Just don't leave them without water for days haha. The little closet im flowering these in has the SF 2000 and is gonna just chill for a bit so I know they are recouping before I scrog and flower in there. Gotta go do some training though TTFN

Ok, Guys don't be mad lol. I added a personal flower closet and I beat the girls up so much that I feel like they need a week to heal up. I also Just built something I think is pretty badass but I don't want to toot my own horn too much haha. No for real though, the community has been amazing and I've learned so much from yall. ok back to the grow, I reduced the nutrients bc honestly, I don't think they really need that much. I overestimated my res size anyway so I'm sure they will be fine and these nutrients ain't cheap. I have been Fimmin like crazy and I'm starting to wonder if I'm even doing it right haha. we are aiming to flip into flower next week though and I hope there is a miracle that helps the bud become ready faster than the late harvest I am expecting. ITS JUST SO HARD TO WAITTTTT!. i know its worth it though and I have the next lineup already setup in the veg room. I am also super excited to have 3 new strains in the mail and expanding my collection. I'll have (Cherry Pie, Wedding cake, and Girl Scout Cookie Extreme). Over the next year, I hope to have a perpetual harvest and mothers from all available to build experience and variety. PLEASE PLEASE let me know your thoughts guys or if I could defoliate way way more. I'm slightly terrified of Lilipopping and cutting them up :(.

Wow, it was a roughhhhh week. Fell extremely behind bc of light failures, condensation leaking everywhere, and the room's RH being like 80%. Turns out these plants spit so much water in the air you cant get away with not having a dehumidifier in the winter haha. Don't freak out but I LoliPopped the crap outta the girls. I'm actually worried I shredded them too much transitioning into flower but I promise I won't touch them now lol. Having a bit of difficulty with the SCROG being flimsy but Ill put some TLC on them tomorrow. planning on a second net too. Included before and after pics of how bad it was and the turnaround. Increased the Nutrients a bit but these tend to burn easily so I'm going for a smooth voyage. AND OMG!! I feel like shit bc My driver went out on an SF 4000 and the company is sending me a bunch of needing air pots with a replacement driver. I flip the lights on and boom..... the damn thing literally fixed itself.. I have a feeling it was because the humidity was so bad but that's all handled for flower because we don't want any Pirates of the Caribbean black spot moments. Either way, I am happy I saved with the hated Chinese lights, and from my experience, they went beyond to help me fix the issues. So far I don't have to run to HLG yet though lol. As usual, poke fun and tell me the things I do wrong so I can get better :). OH! and ya I plan on training or mainlining better next time to help those corner areas more. Still happy with the design for the most part though.

WTH!!! SLOW DOWNNNN!! haha. seriously guys they won't stop growing haha. this stretch is crazy experiencing it for the first time. The SCROG net is being pushed up and I need to throw a second layer on so expect that next week. I fell behind due to travel so 2 days ago the nutrients were changing and this Wednesday should be a flush and refill. I have humidity spikes but aside from that most is under control. still bummed out about that back right corner but with the second run, ill put better training techniques into practice. I have a couple of additives to add later un but essentially I'm going to have to get these girls back schedule so that I can see an early harvest on Feb 3 or an average on the 17th.

The same problem as the Veg room grow journal guys sorry. Having phone issues so I really don't have any picks for this week but I'll have some more in the upcoming one. I am just starting to see buds though so I am going to take a risk by using another additive. I already posted a question about it but in the next week, I will add CANNA PK 13/14 Boost for just that week. apparently, it's a good boost right when buds start to form but this week was a bit too early in my opinion and I didn't want to screw up flower while I am troubleshooting so many issues going through the process for the first time. They are getting Hella close to the lights and I will have to figure something out but we shall see lol. Hey I've been keeping the RH under control though haha

Guys hallllp! lol. I definitely waited for way too long to flip and I could have really SCROGed them better. It's all a learning process though and I don't think I did too much damage. I FINALLY got the second SCROG net layer on but it is a bit sloppy. I was just so terrified to hurt the colas because I now see some baby buds forming! this really is the most exciting part guys and let me know what to do hahahahah. I don't know how I learned it all backward but I am trying my best not to touch them and fk them up. I'm letting the plants naturally defoliate from this point on but I did cut off a lot getting some good advice from another grower. I am a bit worried about the buds spacing and I am not sure if that's normal for the strain etc. OH and the lights! so I have them angled like this for just 3 days and I will raise the other side also but they are pretty much maxed out on the YOYOs. I'll have to flip shorter, use different strains, train better, etc. I just don't see the point of making some huge contraption when I could just be more proactive.

Week five!!!! Ok guys, So I waited way too long to flip LMFAO. I hope I have made it through most of the stretch and as you can see I may be able to get the lights 8 more inches up to the ceiling in an emergency but let's hope it doesn't get to that point. I have reduced the Base nutrients and added 2 additives. A big problem I noticed today 13 Jan was that the water pump was moving hella slow. I had to wait a long time to add each nutrient so that I didn't just burn the first plant in the system. I have 2 pumps in the mail though so we are good. Humidity will spikes maybe 3x but I always bring it back to 50% RH. For the next round, I'm going to have to be really aggressive with my training techniques. these things just get huge so fast and I wasn't ready for a 10-week flower cycle. oh due to the pump issue don't trust the TDS amount this week. I'm sure you could ballpark it and I know my system will never go over 1k TDS with everything I'm running currently.

Soooooo... I think I really fucked up haha. It's week 6 and they are huge... I didn't anticipate the stretch well and now I'm panicking. Any advice would be great because aside from getting an extra 8 inches from mounting all the way to the ceiling I'm at a loss. They are doing well aside from that though. a lot of dark spots where I could have trained better are just becoming more prevalent and I'm really seeing where I should have filled gaps and trained for a better light footprint. Adding top shooter for the first time at half strength this week, hoping to see results like the canna pk boost in the personal grow which is doing great. Oh and guess whos dumb pump started working for no reason after I got the replacement in the mail lol smh.

Hey guys, So I kinda felt bad for anyone that came across this and got any value from it. I know I hate when there isn't a conclusion so I am going to try and stay motivated about the whole thing haha. So I think the main problem is that when I took clones I didn't think about them being from different mothers and it resulted in different flowering phenos. I was going through some personal crap and the grow was flipped waaaaay too late for this strain. I wasn't ready for the stretch at all and the plant is basically touching the LEDs. From there I had humidity fluctuations but I usually had a dehumidifier running. The room has a bit of a temp swing and judging off of the plants they are all flowering at different rates lol. I'm honestly at a loss bros and gals. I decided since I have a veg room full that's way too big ready to flip that I would flush 17 Feb 21 and in a week harvest or based off on how the plants look. from there Ill take what I can get unless someone else has a suggestion. I also tried to dim the lights and even add an hour of darkness to speed up the flowering. Sorry for the lack of content guys.

ugh just hate myself right now lol. I feel like it would have done AMAZING had I flipped sooner and SCROG way better. I was timid and had a lot of personal obligations preventing me from staying in the garden as much as I would have liked. Its a grower! and stretches so much in early flower. Stay on top of her but I think she may make some amazing bud based on what I did have drying recently. I wish I didnt mess up the timing but I just couldnt have the second wave be held up by these mistakes and felt it best to let it go
