The two big dawgs started to really pack it on this week. Number one is holding strong a week ahead of two. Has a bit of a learning curve with the new hydro setup and HLG leds. I learned that the intensity causes the flowers to use more cal-mag than standard hps/halide according to some reading. It also could be they are just using more than the recommended dosage and a had a bit of a phosphorus deficiency. Either way I upped my Cali magic and the young leaves look great as do the flowers. #1 is starting to get some pinks and purples and #2 is still cranking out white pistils.

Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Didn't realise my syntetic nutriton had so bad NPK for flowering (3-5-7) so my biggest girl got some nitrogen toxicity (dark and shiny leaves). This resulted in creating small and compact buds and slowing down the growth. Therefore i went back to my biobizz (organic) with better NPK (altho' still not optimal ratio). On the third and smallest Zkittlez i cut of the lowest 2 nodes during this week to promote some stress and therefore some seeds, she will produce max 20-25gram of dry weed anyways (maybe naive, but hey why not). Never actually smelled the terpenes of this lineage (grape) and yeah... I would use this as my perfume if possible. Really makes it rewarding to grow your own stuff. - 12L air-pot with 15% perlite - X6 COB LED Full Spectrum (303.5W±5%) Good vibes 🙏

Around 11-12 weeks seed to harvest,, only had a few plants the largest yielded 72 grams the smallest around an ounce,,, just a few plants for personal medicinal use grown 100% naturally in the great british outdoors 😎

Did defoliation as usual and a little lollipoping. Did 2 complete refills of the reservoir, ph stayed stable for 1 day after the exchange but then super unstable again. Dropped the EC with the second refill to 1000 to see if it stays stable. Ori is going good, already looking frosty, NL#2 is comming aswell, NL#1 not so much.

Harvest - Let me start off by saying how impressed I am with this plant and the flower produced, not only was it consistent with the description but it seems to be consistent across other diaries that i've seen - really top notch job i'd say. Grow: Growing went without hassle, this plant started off it's life from seed being vegged under my hlg quantum board for the first 5 weeks of its life - after that I left it inside under 5-6 hours of direct sunlight to flower, bud chunked out nicely and i am impressed by the yeild considering the amount of light. Smoke: I love this bud, It is truly pleasant to smoke - so smooth you could smoke it constantly without fear of harshness. The creamy and sweet flavor are a real treat. I will definitely be growing this again

girl, she is growing strong and beautiful :) at the end of this week I will have to leave her for a few weeks, I think everything will be fine :)

Week 4 My girl reaches her final size. I took the opportunity to put the scrog that will be more to support the buds weight. Despite the initial deformity of the leaves, the plant has a very healthy aspect and a very balanced coloring, so I believe that this adventure will not influence the flavor of the flowers. In few weeks... HARVEST TIME 😋 Day 22 Hard defoliation on fan leaves.

Even though I decapitated 3 inch off the top of this plant by mistake it has still produced a good amount & the quality looks good as well. Will be back with a dry weight and smoke review ✌️ out Growmes 🙏👍

I'm going to need to transplant this gal! Already roots poking out the bottom so I'm prepared to get her in a bigger pot soon! Probably this week.-- update, she's loving Life in a larger pot! Smells incredible already 👍

Nice strain with lovely buds, the amazing purple buds are no joke when smoking her. She has a strong couch-lock high and gives a little bit paranoia.

Everything going quiet well. Watering 2-3 days 2 liters per plant

this should be the last week of vegetation. Flowering should be starting soon. Seems like no end to this drought we are suffering from in Southern Ontario.

They seem to like their new 5 gallon pots and they are growing vigorously. Especially, Blueberry Muffin is begging to switch to flowering. I top dressed them with worm humus and 50 Gr of BioBloom end of the week. Using the worm humus for the first time, so I am curious about the results. Giving them another 5-7 Days before switching flowering to make sure that I make the most out of the space.

420 Fastbuds FBT2301 Week 3 Merry Christmas Grow fam. Week 3 for these beautiful plants. They seem to be progressing well with minimal issues. I did up the feeding to 1000ml every other day and so far they seem to be OK. All in all Happy Growing
