Hello Growmies, As we round up week 5 with our Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid by Zamnesia, the growth has been nothing short of impressive. The choice to employ low-stress training (LST) rather than topping has paid dividends, with the plants responding well to the gentle guidance of their growth, seamlessly integrating into the SCROG setup. This method has allowed for an even canopy spread, optimal light penetration, and air flow, which is critical for the health of the plants and ultimately the yield. Observing the Watermelon Candy's development, we see a testament to our cultivation methods. The vibrant green leaves reaching skywards, the sturdy stems, and the strategic placement of each branch in the SCROG—every detail points towards a successful vegetative phase. In terms of environmental control, we've applied the lessons learned from our other strains, maintaining a stable and ideal VPD during the day with the Tent-X system. The nights, however, have brought forth the same challenges we've faced with other strains, showing fluctuations in VPD levels. The integration of the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is anticipated to solve this, and we are optimistic that this change will bring about the consistent conditions needed for the Watermelon Candy's continual thriving. Even with the small hiccup in the nighttime environmental control, the plants are flourishing. The robust health they exhibit is a sign they're ready for the flowering phase, and we expect nothing less than a bountiful harvest. And while we've experienced a bit of frustration with Secret Jardin and Mars Hydro for the integration challenges, we appreciate TrolMaster's efforts to assist. So far so good. A little discoloration in a few leaves. Bud sites forming. Weird weather we've been having and temps in the box jumped up into the 90's. That being said I went ahead and made the switch to LED. Wish I would have switched sooner. Temps fell almost 20F. Sure some has to so with the outside temps dropping back down but this thing runs so cool. Great light penetration but not sure if the intensity is enough. Time will tell. She pretty much stopped eating and drinking. I read that prior to flowering they will slow down overall uptake and slow down growth as well. I don't quite remember that from my last grow but I do remember there being a huge flowering stretch. I'm switching over to bloom nutes next week after a flush so hopefully she'll get the nutes she needs/wants.

Week 0 : Sixshooter Hawkbo says Six Shooter is one of the top Fast Buds Strains, so i'm like "yeah man might as well run me some of these, i do like my weed top of the shelf!" so here it is with the six shooter , bought these direct during one of Fast bud's promotions, 3+2 x2 for the price of one, so yeah that' s a good deal ! germinating 5 let's see how many i end up keeping, depends on the rest of the seeds too ! overnight in a glass of water with a few drops of my kelp extract , protect it from the light , the next day looks like some already cracked, putting it in the RQS propagator, dont use your fingers to manipulated activated seeds , cover with some dirt, cover the propagator with a blanket to protect it from light and keep the temperature up. Let's see ! within a day three had cracked the surface, one was all squiggly from being put upside down but within a day it has straightened out, the two last ones took 3 more days to crack the surface, i'm saving them and keeping them closeby in case i need to replace any of the planted seeds. Six shooter have been great genetrics so far, i transplanted three of them on day 4. see you next week for more updates !

2nd week in the big tent, not overly happy with the progress , some plants are coping better than others, seem to be getting curling/yellowing leafs? hoping that by next week they will be in full swing, one night the heater cut out and the room went down to 13c, don’t suppose that will have helped

Cut off many big fan leaves to give light for bud sites. Hope I didn’t cut too much. Thinking about flushing for a week. Maybe the yellowing and curled leaves are caused by too high ph which comes from nutrients

great 28 days, went very smoothly :) The girl looks healthy and strong :) I can already see that next week will be the week of the beginning of flowering :) The girl drinks 1 liter of 6.3 ph water every two days, adding Biobizz nutrients every 2nd watering :) Day 28, plucked the frond leaves for better air flow :) good luck to everyone :).

Started hardening off all plants this week. I was bringing them in at night for 4-5 days, then finally letting them stay out all night. Also gradually brought them more and more into the sunlight over the course of a week or so. You can see that there is a fair amount of damage from fungus gnats... and moreso of me overdoing it with neem oil (and using dawn foaming soap, which apparently is a big no-no).

It’s now time to start flower. They are looking amazing and I’m going to go ahead and throw his crocs in there. I have one tent that I have not put in flower yet just for the main fact that one of my seats became a auto flower so I’m letting them run more time to let that auto flower finish and see what that becomes

Today the Blue Cheese Pheno 1 became the first time rinsed, and now only gets 0.4 Ec water for the next 10 days ca :-). Everyone else needs a while. otherwise there is not much to report this week.
