Week 8 Flower — The Frosted Finale Approaches As we enter Week 8 of flower, our Sundae Driver ladies have transformed into something truly spectacular. The tent feels alive with energy, coated in that glistening, diamond-like frost that every grower dreams of. These girls have come a long way—from seed to strength, from gentle sprouts to towering beauties—and this week’s photos capture that evolution in every sparkling detail. A Quick Recap for New Friends For anyone joining us now, welcome to the ride. This grow began with three seeds from Zamnesia Seeds, all of which germinated successfully. We selected two phenos—our Sundae Driver #2 and #3—and nurtured them through an exciting, experimental journey. They were fed a balanced blend of Aptus Holland and Plagron nutrients, grown in a rich super soil mix, and guided by the precise control of TrolMaster systems and the steady illumination of Future of Grow and ThinkGrow LEDs. Along the way, we explored advanced techniques—most notably, the Super Crop, which became a highlight of this grow. The Scene This Week Now in full bloom, both girls are thriving under the lights. Their colas are massive—one could easily compare the main stem to the size of my arm. Dense, weighty, and coated with trichomes from tip to base, they’re the very definition of healthy flower formation. The aromas are complex and sweet, a creamy mix that hints at their Sundae heritage. Even from a distance, the frost catches the light in a way that makes you pause and admire. Environmental conditions are holding steady despite the hot season outside. • Room temperature: around 28°C • Humidity: 62% • VPD: approximately 1.3 kPa With the AC doing its best and airflow dialed in through dual 6” carbon-filtered extractions, the girls are comfortable, breathing easily, and continuing to bulk without stress. Feeding & Formula This week, we continue with our refined nutrient mix: • Aptus Regulator: 0.15 ml/L • CalMag Boost: 0.25 ml/L • Plagron PowerBuds: 1 ml/L • Plagron Green Sensation: 1 ml/L • Plagron Sugar Royal: 1 ml/L EC hovers around 1.7, and pH remains close to 6.1. The soil, enriched and alive, holds an EC near 2.9, providing a self-sustaining foundation for these late-flower demands. Watering now follows the natural rhythm of the soil, ensuring each feed balances moisture and oxygen at the root zone—key for healthy ripening. The Art of Super Cropping Remember that bold super crop on Pheno #2 back in Week 4? She’s the living proof that resilience meets reward. The bend healed perfectly, redirecting energy and light into multiple bud sites. The result? An even canopy, incredible bud density, and a plant that carries herself like a true champion. For those hesitant to try this technique—let this be your sign. Super cropping, when done with care, can unlock your plant’s full potential. It’s a gentle stress that brings powerful returns. Don’t fear it—learn it, trust it, and apply it with love. Looking Ahead Week 9 will mark the start of the ripening stage. Expect pistils to darken, trichomes to shift from clear to milky, and the terpene profile to deepen even further. Patience becomes the grower’s greatest tool here—this is when the real magic happens. We’ll soon be talking about fade, flush, and preparation for harvest. Thank You, Family To everyone following along—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Whether you’ve been here from seed or you’re just joining now, your presence means everything. To the lovers, the haters, the curious, the passionate—thank you. Because together, we grow. And to the partners who make this possible—Zamnesia, Aptus Holland, Plagron, Future of Grow, ThinkGrow, Spider Farmer, and TrolMaster—your innovation fuels these gardens. This project is more than just growing plants; it’s about learning, sharing, and celebrating life itself. Love, patience, and curiosity—these are the lights we all grow under. Let’s keep shining. Dog Doctor Official P.S. For those of you still hesitant to try new techniques like super cropping—this grow stands as living proof that it works. When done gently, with care and understanding, it brings structure, strength, and new potential to your plants. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Each new method is a lesson, and growth—both for you and your plants—comes from curiosity and courage. 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. Trust me, you won’t want to miss the next steps, let’s push the boundaries of indoor horticulture together! As always, this is shared for educational purposes, aiming to spread understanding and appreciation for this plant. Let’s celebrate it responsibly and continue to learn and grow together. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 P.S.² As these girls start to pack serious weight, make sure every branch has proper support. Heavy buds are a blessing, but they can easily become a heartbreak if left unsupported. A single snap can cost you a beautiful cola. Use plant ties, yo-yos, bamboo stakes—whatever fits your setup—and keep a close eye daily. The last stretch is when your plants give their all, so it’s our job to help them carry that gift safely to harvest.

We've reached the end of this journey, the result was good, a very good strain to cultivate. The buds had a very good aroma, dense and resinous, now we just have to wait for the drying and curing process to complete the cycle. ✌️✌️✌️ 🌫️

Day 1-2 All plants topped, defoliated and lollipopped. Getting ready for the last stages of outdoor veg. Spring has cause the plants to be very leggy so topping, defoliating and lollipoping will help the plants through the final weeks of veg getting more bushy and pushing more energy to the tops. Clones taken. Plants sprayed with lost coast to help prevent bacteria or fungus infections aswell as mite preventions as all the mites are now gone. *knocks on wood*. Preventative spraying will continue. Day 3 Sunny 89* - 68% Humidity - slightly windy Nice sunny day and the plants seem to be recovering from yesterday’s abuse and everybody is praying. Watering two times a day now as the heat is on! Day 4 Only watering conducted. Give thanks. To be continued……..

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Week 1 Dance Monkey Week 2 Gotye Week 3 AC/DC Week 4 INXS Week 5 Dire straits Week 6 Yothu yindi and Midnight oil Week 7 Divinyls Week 8 Was Request week where I asked growers to pick and because only 3 growers put in a request I decided to choose all three which were Kylie Minogue , Flume & Airbourne Week 9 Paul Kelly Week 10 Daddy Cool Week 11 Cold chisel Week 12 Jimmy Barnes Week 13 The Angels Week 14 Crowded House Hoodoo gurus Mental as Anything Week 15 Empire of the sun Big Pig , Silverchair , Peking duk Grinspoon , Hilltop hoods and the White stripes And Finally for the last lot of music videos I have chosen another multi list bonanza of Aussie Music with the artist/s name and Youtube link below. So in no particular order here are my last choices for this Diary its been a fun grow with a steep learning curve. The week ends Sunday Mar-1, being day 61 - week 8 of flowering since flipping the lights. From first pistils shown, it's day 45 which is a more accurate snapshot of where the plants actually are in their maturity. Started the ripening feed phase for the plant. No other nutrients or supplements added (other than enzyme). Lots of orange hairs covering the top buds and buds lower are beginning to also ripen. Trichomes are cloudy now across the canopy with a few amber. Will be monitored for any changes to initiate flushing for 2 days prior to harvesting the tops. Not much change in the buds development on the plant. The CBD has dense nugget style buds with some swelling starting. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with single daily fertigation at lights on - watering 3L per day. Fertigation pH target is 5.9-6.2 whilst flowering. Stopped the practice of fertigating at lights off due to the other pot developing a springtales infestation. Need to allow at least 2-4hrs of lights on period after fertigation. The coco is not dry but still damp on the surface after 24hrs from fertigation. Seems the plant is slowing down the amount of water intake which is expected at this stage. Trying to maintaining an average RH in the space at 50% but it's getting harder now with all flowers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive & active intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - GHE Flora trio nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy the other at the roots level)
