Pollen was dropping like crazy as the male flowers got ripe and ready. The females got good and coated and fully pollinated. I harvested the males to collect and preserve the pollen. Some dried and I veiled it up. But the bulk majority is still drying up. I left just the bottom portion of the male kicking for some extra pollen well the females throw off. The diary will now begin to focus on the pollinated females. The journey to beans is well under way! Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Day 15 ready for the transplant tomorrow. Just watered each with 1/3 cup of water. It was the first watering since the initial one 15 days ago. My basement is very humid. All 4 are growing pretty strong. The 2 on the left and right are the Guavo Autos and the other 2 are Sticky Soul Photos. They will continue their life outside starting tomorrow. Day 16 and all 4 plants have been transplanted into their final 3 gallon pots. What I did was water each cup yesterday with 1/3 cup of water. Today I drilled some holes in the 3 gallon pots. I filled it with a small amount of build a soil light mix and the rest with happy frog. I poured 2 cups of water into the new soil. I made a hole. I added 2tbspns of Mykos to each pot. I slid the plants out of the cups into the hole. I watered those in with 3 cups of water each. A little ran off through the bottom. I’m going to keep them in the shade for a few days then toss them in the sun. Stay tuned! Day 20 and we are looking really good. Check the video above.

Day 38 since flipping and I'm loving what I see. This girls LOVES to eat so I had to switch my feeding cycle to feed, feed, water, instead of feed, water, water. The strong orange citrus aroma is oh so lovely! In the next couple of weeks she should start packing on more weight. I can tell that they are heavy already just but the swaying of the cola from air circulation. I think I messed up by removing my scrog net but I'll tie her up and give her support as needed!

Well, Well, it has been a fun and informative run with these ladies. The smell is an extremely pungent fruity rotten pineapple.... it is amazing. Plant 1 and Plant 2 couldn't have been more different, but the smell is the same on them. I am really looking forward to a slow dry and slow cure on these. I am going to let them run out a few more days and see if there is any more fattening and monitor the trichomes. Thanks all! Harvest update in a few weeks once everything is dry and then I'll do a cure update a few weeks after that, going to be hard to be patient on smoking this.

Day 36 Flower (Day 78) Today is the first day of week six of flower and on this glorious day, I went to war against the fungus gnats. By war, I mean watering each girl with 5 million Nematodes in 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. That should hopefully do the trick and get rid of the annoying little shits. I also experimented a bit more with bud photography and this time I used an LED ring flash. The next step is to shoot during the dark period so I don't get any supplemental light from the grow lights. That was pretty much it today as it is mostly just coasting along at this point in the grow. Day 37 Flower (Day 79) The left girl got pampered with a new light today. Let's see if those extra photons can help her fatten up. She also got a CO2 bag to help her to soak up all those juicy photons. The right girl on the other hand just got her daily watering. Today with 3 liters at pH 6.6. Day 38 Flower (Day 80) All I did today was to give the right girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water and started brewing some compost tea to feed tomorrow. I used a simple recipe this time with just some worm castings and molasses to increase the microbial activity, as well as a bit of neem meal for some additional nutrition but also to help against pests. The fungus gnats in the tents are almost gone. The nematodes took care of the gnat larvae and the yellow sticky traps have been catching the adults. Day 39 Flower (Day 81) Super chill day. I just gave each girl 3 liters of compost tea at pH 6.2. Done. Day 40 Flower (Day 82) I gave 3 liters of pH 6.5 water to the right girl and supported some of her branches as they're getting heavy with buds. Boom! Day 41 Flower (Day 83) Today I gave each girl 3 liters of pH 6.5 water. The gnats look to be defeated for now. I can't see any in the tents and the yellow sticky traps are empty. Day 42 Flower (Day 84) The last day of the sixth week of flower and all is going great in the tents. The heatwave we were having went away, which kind of sucks on a personal and social level, but it's great for the girls as the tents were swelteringly hot. The left girl is 103 cm tall and didn't grow anything this week. She has started to fatten up a bit now since I installed a more powerful light, but she is still lagging far behind the right girl. I'm interested to see if she is only lagging behind in time and will fatten up eventually, or if her ordeal has stunted her flowers, resulting in a bunch of larf. Time will tell. Either way, it will be a learning experience. The right girl also didn't grow vertically this week (thankfully!). Her 123 cm is tall enough to be dangerously close to the lights. She is fattening up nicely but still some time to go before she is done. I haven't checked any trichomes yet but should probably start checking next week. Today was another chill late-flower day, I just gave the left girl 2 liters of pH 6.7 water, and the right got 3 liters at pH 6.5.

Week 5 Veg Report: SCROG Netting, Massive Leafs & Precise Data Mastery! 🌱 Girls Growing Stronger Than Ever! 🌱 This week has been truly epic in the grow room—so much so that it’s time to bring in the SCROG net! With the canopy expanding and the younger ones still working to catch up, the SCROG net will help me achieve that perfect, even canopy. A well-placed SCROG not only ensures better light penetration but also gives the smaller plants a chance to spread out and thrive alongside their bigger sisters. Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. As the plants grow, I’ll gently weave their branches through the screen, ensuring they fill every square inch of space. The end goal? A sea of buds all basking in equal light! 💪 Huge Leafs Everywhere! 🌿 One thing that’s really catching my eye this week is the size of the leaves—they’re HUGE! Honestly, they’re so big I couldn’t resist a little fun, so I made myself some fashion accessories: leaf earrings and a cap from the Super Sativa Seed Club Green Papaya! 😂 And, of course, I captured the moment. But seriously, large leaves at this stage are a great sign of healthy, robust plants. These “solar panels” are hard at work soaking up all the light, driving photosynthesis, and fueling growth. So, what does it mean when your plants are showing off big, luscious leaves? It’s a clear indication that they’re happy, healthy, and thriving in their environment—big leaves mean lots of energy being produced and stored for future bud growth. Exactly what we want! 💧 Precision Feeding with Aptus Nutrients 💧 This week, I took a deep dive into my Aptus nutrient lineup and shared a video explaining how each product affects the water’s pH and TDS. Using the AMP-3 Precision Meter, I’m getting real-time water readings and keeping everything dialed in perfectly. Let’s break it down: • pH: 5.83 • TDS in solution: 445 ppm • Water temperature: 25.2°C The Aptus products are incredible for balancing nutrients without throwing off the pH or TDS too much. I’m fine-tuning my feedings based on these readings to make sure the girls are getting exactly what they need. The precision I’m able to achieve with the AMP-3 is mind-blowing—I get immediate feedback on pH, temperature, and EC, allowing me to make real-time adjustments and ensure the perfect environment for nutrient uptake. 📊 Environmental Mastery Thanks to TrolMaster 📊 Speaking of control—let’s talk about the TrolMaster system! Between the DSH-2U Humidity Station and all the other sensors, I’ve created the perfect environment for my plants. Here’s where we’re at this week: • Temperature: 26.2°C • RH: 70.6% • CO2 levels: 775 ppm • VPD: 1.0 kPa • PPFD: 423 Thanks to TrolMaster, I can monitor and adjust these metrics in real time, and the best part? I can do it all through the TM+ Pro app, even while I’m lounging in my green papaya leaf hat! 😆 Whether I’m checking the CO2 levels, adjusting the lights, or fine-tuning the humidity, it’s all in my hands with just a tap of my phone. Talk about convenience! 🌱 P.S. – Inline Sensors: Heavy-Duty Precision 🌱 Now, let’s talk about the heavy-duty players in this game—the (PCT-2) Heavy Duty Inline EC/Temp Sensor and the (PPH-2) Heavy Duty Inline pH Sensor. These bad boys are connected directly to the AMP-3 Precision Meter, and they’ve been absolutely crucial in giving me the most accurate readings on my water and nutrient solution. The PCT-2 keeps me informed about the electrical conductivity and temperature of my solution, which is key for monitoring how well my plants are absorbing nutrients. Too high or too low, and we’re asking for trouble, but this sensor ensures I’m always in that perfect range. The PPH-2, on the other hand, is all about maintaining the perfect pH balance. A fluctuating pH can mean nutrient lockout or deficiencies, but thanks to this sensor, I get a constant read on my pH levels, so the plants are always in their sweet spot for optimal nutrient absorption. Together, these inline sensors allow me to run a super-tight ship—every drop of water and nutrient is dialed in to perfection, keeping the plants happy and healthy! Shout Outs! As always, huge thanks to TrolMaster and ThinkGrow LED for the amazing gear, to Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients and Pro-Mix for the best soil i have used so far. Big love to the seed banks, the amazing Grow Diaries community, and all my followers—you guys make this journey so much more exciting. Finished my first grow. Now able to put these girls in the main tent. The light above is a Fluence Bioengineering Sypdr 2 LED (648 watts approx.). Moved the girls into 5 gallon equivalent airpots. Using Roots Organics Orginal Soil for the whole grow. Newberry was a male plant, so he was terminated. Neem oil is used as a foliar spray for possible pest. Topped all the girls, as they seem to be bouncing back nicely from the supercropping. Won’t be doing anymore major stressing, going to let them veg a couple more weeks. Stay tune
