Well this week has gone a bit pear shaped. I think it is a combination of light stress and the new soil I'm using. Also the soil had fungus gnats. I won't use it again but it was an experiment and I've learnt that soil isn't my substrate of choice! Back to my super coco mix! 😁 I'm going to see if I can pull it through. I've got plants through worse! Wish me luck. I watered twice this week with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6-6.5, containing 1ml of Ecothrive Trace and 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys. I will say that the soil is very difficult for me to judge the moisture level to water accordingly. Scratch what I said at the end of last week pests are still around just had some bug fly at me and bite/sting me on the neck now a got a welt on my neck smh, not sure what the heck it was it was some sort of black bug maybe a thrip but I honestly have no idea, did another neem oil drench on the medium only and tomorrow I'm going to use a hydrogen peroxide mixture again that way I can also use it on the tops and undersides of the leaves as well. Some of the roots started to become exposed on the top soil so I added more an inch or two coco to cover the exposed roots. Another successful week I guess the plants aren't dead so onto week 9, Week 4 of flower

The jumping spiders name is Brando...he's a male Bold, and the bug bouncer in that cabinet. ZERO intruders. Good job Brando. This week was quite epic for the ladies. They got a nice new cabinet with lights and environment dialed just for veg. -Built a nice Veg/Dry cabinet from scrap. Pretty damn happy with myself...not gonna lie. 😅 I decided to just dive right in with some solid plant shaping. Still pushing slower than my previous run...but these 2 can take some serious LST with a good nutrient load. Impressive how fast they look back to that light. So far the organic run is performing better; how ever I didn't scorch the tits off these girls with a massive LED hammer when they were 14 minutes old either, so there's that. 😂😶 I'll have a true comparison of Organic Home Brew Ferts v Store Bought Ferts with the same strain here this winter...get actual data. Also: CannaBudget Studios was built with an old broken tri-pod / usb strip lights / old black sheet...and electrical tape. Yeeee. Time to go work on the farm. What's up fellow growmies! I hope all is well with your grows! This week progressed like usual, they actually are starting to pre-flower and growing stigmas. Its like clock work with these autos July 1st marked a complete year in growing and each time I've grown autos they always start to transition to flower in week 5/6. Its hard to believe it has been a complete year for me💪🏾 I have gained so much knowledge and received so much help from this community and I really appreciate it. It seems like yesterday I was frantically worrying about everything. Although I have much to learn I think I pretty much have it down to a science. This last year I have grown 4 different strains 2 times each. On my current grow I have stopped obsessing over watering, one thing I am learning is that watering until run off is not really needed, unless you want to test the ppm/ph of said run-off, otherwise you are just wasting water. I start off with 1 liter of water per plant, and as they grow I make my way up to 2 liters. It appears to be the sweet spot especially for the 5 gallon pots, after about 2 liters I start to see run-off in the 3gallon pots I see it after about 1.5 liters of water. I am still using the General Hydroponics Flora Series trio, it has worked well for me. I always mix what the manufacturer recommends per gallon into a 3 gallon sprayer, so I am giving 1/3rd of the recommended dosage out of fear of nute burn or lockout. I performed LST on both Big Bud Auto plants, and one of my White Widows, the other 2 White Widows I am letting grow naturally. Stay tuned and Happy Growing!!!! 🤘🏾🤙🏾💪🏾

This week made a few oopsies . I gave un-ph’d water to one of the plants “moving to fast” . Started defoliation during this week to attempt to redirect plant energy into establishing a full canopy since flowering has initiated. Whilst defoliating I broke a branch that had to be taped to save it. Humidity went out of whack when I stored 4 prepped 5 gal pots for transplant in the tent sooo I’ve got to buy a dehumidifier bc at one point all my plants fell out in a fit . STILL haven’t filled these pots out, & I’m kinda sure/unsure it’s time to re-amend the soil for flowering. I’m conflicting on waiting until beginning/middle of week 7 so I can flush week 11 & 12 . I think that covers it pretty well Week 5 in the 📚 📕 📖.

July 27th, 43 days post flip. Clones: I think at this point they are done growing. I keep having to super crop and twist and intertwine the branches beneath the light. At this point it has formed almost a bed in nature. I have some burnt leaves and tips but I’m not worried, I will have plenty of buds Plant number 2 has my favorite bud structure so far, close spacing and more modern. Plant number 3 seems to be an in between of 2 and 4 Plant number 4, the gigantic one, has these spear like buds. I suspect this may be the most primitive of the bunch and am looking forward to smoking it Plants finally starting to develop some distinct smells when I touch them. The one is very citrusy in nature Going to continue to give nothing but water, I may give some cal mag and maybe a little potassium but will see. Due to the fact that these grew above the light I’m looking at supplemental lighting I could run during the grow. Parents: Completely recovered from their topping two weeks ago. Going to continue to water and keep them happy God bless!
