SUNDAY 5/5: Rearranged the gardens..have 17 plants in the 4 x 5 now...yowsa! MONDAY: Plucked some dead leaves and did a trichrome check on the furthest along. TUESDAY: I observed some white spots on a few leaves here and there throughout the garden, so I sprayed them today with Trifecta Crop Cure, a concoction of a bunch of natural plant oils. I already decreased the humidity in the room to 45% with my new 70L dehumidifier, so I think they'll be fine. I'll spray them again tomorrow and the next day, then I'll have to hope that did the trick, because several plants are already in the harvest window.

Week 1 of flower hydro and organics

Things seem to be going well so far. I've been regularly watering the plant with fertilizers for the past week. However, some of the leaves turned yellow and fell off, so I pruned a few more to improve air circulation and lighting for the lower flowers.

D50. The start of the second week of flower, and all is well in the tent. The girls stretched quite a bit in the first week, and I'm curious how much they will stretch this week. I did some additional defoliation, removing leaves and branches that didn't make it above the scrog. ------------------------------ D51. The first girl shows early signs of a deficiency, which I suspect is a lack of magnesium. I guess the recent stretch is the cause, but I think the stretch is slowing down. I gave each girl 2.5 liters of water with 1.5 teaspoons of Epsom salt and a foliar spray with Epsom salt. That should hopefully take care of any lack of magnesium. I also calibrated my Hygrometer since I've noticed lately that it seemed a bit off. Sure enough, it was off by 7.9%. ------------------------------ D54. The tent is blowing up! The girls look great, and the first buds have started forming. However, they have more than tripled in size in almost two weeks, and I'm slowly running out of room in the tent. I've raised the lights as far as they go, and I hope that will be sufficient as I'm going out of town for a week, and the girls will be left to their own devices. The chlorosis hasn't spread, so I think the Epsom salt helped. Other than that, there's not much to report. ------------------------------

Girls are growing up nice! Went from the solos into the 1 gal pots. OG3 is looking a little droopy, maybe shocked from the transfer. Other two look to be on the money so far. Glad to be back with the photos, being able to control the timing to flower is a great feeling. When my flower tent is freed up in a week or so, I will be moving them over to their final home.

Here we are. Week 2. On the Day 8 video, I give my method on how I produce nearly zero larf and huge buds. It's easier than most think 😉

This lady is so tall and her colas are getting too heavy. We had a bit of rain and wind mid-week and she could hardly stay up... one cola actually broke off! I'm trying to get another two weeks out of her. Fingers are crossed. It's a blustery day today and I'm a bit nervous! She's not ripe yet... I don't want a 'preemie' on my hands.

Apple Fritter is doing good. Just switched light to 12/12. Increased nutrition on last solution change. I cut a clipping I am attempting to clone. If all good I will start a diary next week for it. Flowering has been an uphill battle against high humidity. Close to the end though. I can't wait I've been watching so many videos and been reading on forums from this point, harvesting, drying and curing. Still looks like itll be a while before smoking. But anyway this has been a great new experience.

Amazing Colours! As you can see the colours on this plant at the end of its run are absolutely amazing. The buds didnt out as dense as I had hoped but I think thats just this pheno and we are busy hunting a denser pheno atm. what a great strain to grow though. no problems during the cycle of the plant and the colours make it so rewarding to grow! I would definitely recommend this strain to people who like fruity and colourful plants. Barneys never disappoints really;)

No nutes this week I’m doing a water water feed and when I feed I’m still giving light nutes. Was having issues with the humidity but I found out about dehumidifier bags so I bought those... super beneficial!! Keeping my girls at a steady 48% Pretty proud of myself so far 😊 also applied the trellis until my new tent and light comes!! Gotta love Mars hydro

Smoothe sailing

Some of you may have wondered: Why do I use CO2 at average 950 ppfd μmol/m2/s (moral flow)? The answer is quite simple. Because of lack of space in some regions of my cultivation area, I simply cannot keep the ideal distance to my Sanlight high-performance lamp, due to some height growth of various strains. And so some of the main colas have ppfd values of 1250 μmol/m2/s and even more... So this is how I manage to achieve and compensate for such high radiation levels even with a CO 2 balance. And I have to say, my strategy to avoid various light stress symptoms works just fabulously. In combination with CO 2 implementation, my babies are simply unbeatably insensitive to light. Thats it! Beginning of 3rd week flowering: Again feeding my babies by 36 hours fermented potions of Bio Tabs Kompost Tea PK-Booster (15 g pro Liter) and added: 5ml Orgatrex/Liter 1 Spoon of Bactrex 1 Spoon of Mycotrex 1 Spoon of Mycco-Vital 1 Spoon of Dynomyco A little tip for those who are interested in small modifications that have a big difference or influence - on the result - effect - beauty - health - taste! Before adding microorganisms or beneficial bacteria or Mycorrizae and Trichodermas, please use oxygen-saturated water. On the one hand, unwanted chlorine gases evaporate and the small world of the microbiome becomes even faster and more rewarding in compost tea to sprout. Last but not least for this week, I would like to introduce my reasons, why I prefer growing biologically and sustainably. First of all, it’s something which suits very well in these times/days we are living now. Sustainability is a big need and task for our planet. 🌎 Nature means life. Our home, the air we breathe and everything that surrounds us. Not just today. Hopefully tomorrow as well. Maybe I'm starting to protect our environment on a small scale, but maybe I can also make a big difference at all. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change... I thought about what’s the difference, between Mineral Feeding and Super Soil Feeding. It’s very easy. Biologically Growing is a similar process than the natural soil activities out there in the lap of nature’s. So plants has to work and interact with the microorganisms and microbiomic communities in the soil. So the plants will never get lazy like the lazy ones of mineral feeding growers. If you grow biologically, you will feed the soil first and the microorganisms will support every parameter next to your plant conditions. And that will generate an unbelievable spectrum of Terpenes and Trichomes you will never forget. It’s the same comparison, when you daily visit McDonalds and you eat only fast food. Addendum for Day 53: At the moment we unfortunately have another winter onset here in Germany. This means that I am forced to take additional heating measures due to structural facts in order to be able to keep the temperatures constant. After all, just tonight the thermometer climbs again to -1 degree Celsius. In addition, my exhaust air system runs out of my bedroom terrace and I therefore grow winter and summer with the patio door open. Well, sometimes I experience real weather-related challenges. But all in all, no problem... "Where there's a will, there's a way." Addendum to pouring out the fermented PK tea: I always administer half a liter of lukewarm aerated water with 3.5 ml of cannazyme per liter to each plant. This means that the "root machine" is not supplied with supplies unprepared and the nutrient solution can thus also be better distributed in the soil. Since I also work with cloth shoes, I spray them evenly moistened everywhere with water that is also warm before pouring them out from the outside. This has the advantage that the moisture stays where it should: in the pot! ... I did the math today ;-) We are still in week 7 until this Friday. And week 8 starts on Friday! OMG... still so much time yeahh! Today my Fast Buds Sour Jealousy and Sweet Seeds Big Devil and Dark Devil Automatics arrived. I'm looking forward to it. This time Fast Buds next Time Sweet Seeds. Love them too. Very beautiful genetics. Today a review video of the beginning of week 3. At the time of the pictures, I had minor signs of nitrogen excess. (Light peaks first at the crown of the roof and then slightly continuing to the middle section.) I then painstakingly racked my brains as to why this could be. I found that very slight dry spots had formed and therefore the root found small accumulations of nitrogen that caused its problems. But then, when I carefully homogeneously checked the moisture content in the substrate, the problem evaporated again. However, they had not shown any loss of growth rate during this time. Nevertheless, they developed as expected. They Strawnanas had no problem with that. In the end, I always have a hard time killing them. But I guess that's the way things go. We live and die. The end of week 1 has arrived. We all know how it goes. Just playing the waiting game. At this stage these girls are just working on building their root system. The roots should be hitting the reservoir in the bottom of the buckets soon then they should take off. Got the water pumping and the lights beaming 24 hours a day. Running a low dose of maxigro. Keeping the ph around 6. Will probably be topping them around day 12. Would be amazing if I can get them ready to switch to flower at the end of week 3. But for now I'm just going to check on them 420 times a day hoping they don't die. Might be back next week if they are alive. Happy growing!
