Medicine is expensive and, luckily, I am now able to grow my own where I live. I started growing in this 2x4 Gorilla Lite tent and "piece-meal'ed" my setup together. I started with one Mars Hydro TS1000 and was fortunate enough to get a second one before I started flowering. I used a 6-inch AC Infinity fan for exhaust and a 4 inch AC Infinity intake fan. Using a Gorilla carbon filter and it works great.. I added an Exhale CO2 bag at this time not really realizing that it wouldn't do much good for a few weeks still... It's impossible to find oscillating clip on fans where I live so I had to make do with some non-oscillating fans. Grew in 100% Purple Cow Indicanja soil and did not give ANY nutrients during the vegetative stage (they did just fine). I probably under-watered versus over-watered for quite some time as folks at the friendly local grow store kept telling me that I'd inevitably overwater at some point as a first time grower so I waited a long time in between watering fairly often...

WHATS NEW...? THIS WEEK SHE MADE AVERAGE PROGRESS. PROBABLY BECAUSE OF THE HIGH TEMPERATURES (90F/30C). BUT NEXT WEEK IM GONNA PROBABLY GET MY NEW DEHUMIDIFIER AND THE NEXT WEEKS GONNA BE MUCH COLDER ON AVERAGE COMPARED TO LAST MONTH (SUMMER ENDS). SO SHE HOPEFULLY GETS IN THE NEXT 1-2 WEEKS A BOOST WHEN THE TEMPS ARE MORE IDEAL. THE EXTRA CO2 PROBABLY ALSO HELPS. KEEP ON GROWING, SMOKING & ENJOYING LIFE ☢️👽💨

5/11 - 5/17: I have her in full LST submission..sprawling nicely.👌 I watered her once really well at the start of the week with endoboost, humic acid, silica, cal-mag, molasses, and big bloom...and a little bit of grow big. I foliar fed with boom boom spray one day, and a solution of fulvic acid, cal-mag, big bloom, sweet & sticky, and silica a few days. It rained really heavy on the night of the 15th, so I won't be watering again anytime soon. All her topped shoots are growing out now. I'll have enough soil for a few plants in 3 gallon pots, and from what everybody says, I'd be very happy with some more jars of #7. I spent all 3 seeds to grow this one plant, so I'll try rooting some clones of her soon...👈 This week I received my new portable outdoor misting fan and hoses and got it set up on a timer with just airflow while the lights are on, and once the temps reach about 95f regularly, I'll have my hose timer let 10 minutes of water every 2 hours get misted across the canopy. It should lower the "real feel" by about 25-30 degrees and increase RH considerably. Also hoping that the constant airflow will make them stronger and keep insects off of them somewhat. It will also enable me to easily give them a blow dry if it rains in late flower. But wait...that's not all....it's also gonna be very much more enjoyable for me to sit in the garden and do my thang. 👍 I found a waterproof 200w 3000k light that has two panels that can be independently aimed in different directions. It covers a 3' x 4' area very well. It gets hot as hell, but..it's outdoors, so.... All total, that's 470w watts in 24 sq ft that i'm supplementing with. I've got very vigorous growth, so it seems to be doing the trick,

The final Week, before harvest! She has some massive towering buds! 2.5 gallons of water is lasting this plant 5-6 days before drying out, and ready for more.. She was harvested instead of being watered!

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. The plants react well to the switch to 12/12 and continue to stretch and fill out their grow space. They love the Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule and have a healthy green color all over. The first signs of flowering (=white hairs) start to appear and both plants are female (as expected from feminized seeds). Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plant #2 is appr. 12 cm taller than plant #1 at this time.
