Quikz

TheFamilyShire Well I started these in a cannakan. I started 2 but only 1 came up. I started another directly into the soil and she popped up. So #1 is a week or so ahead of #2. I started them in 1gal pots with reused soil i amended. I made the soil to hot and the plants stunted and deformed. So I took the seedlings out and put in some Fox farm happy frog and put the seedlings back. So they are just now doing better. Well see how they go.

TheFamilyShire So these seedlings were in to hot of soil. I tried to remove the plant and put a nest egg of happy frog in between the hot soil. It has definitely helped but as you see the small seedling is struggling with the soil. I guess i didn't add enough happy frog. Well they are both growing and looking okay. Got a new light. The one grow mc2000. 200w full spectrum light. Love it. I have it set at 24in away and on about 50% power. Its between 200-300ppfd. Well stay tuned to see how these girls grow.

TheFamilyShire Ive uppotted all the seedling into fox farms happy frog. The soil they was in was amended reused soil. I made it to hot for seedlings on accident. The soil fed big plants for 5 weeks without needing anything else. So I got these plants out of the 1gal hot soil and into 3gal plastic pots with fresh soil. They already look better. They are all perking up. I also took them out of the 2x4 under "The One Grow" 200 watt light into the 4x4 under the Vivosun 645 watt. I also put predatory mites in each grow area because I had broad mites over the winter and had to kill and clean everything. So just as preventive I added the good guys predatory mites. Stay tuned.....

TheFamilyShire So I topped all the bigger plants. I only topped one of the quikz. They are growing better now in the new soil. They was definitely behind because how I did them the 1st few weeks of life. The quikz #1 is so much better than #2. Im sure #2 will catch up. I haven't fed them yet but I did give them some recharge. I have some new microbials im going to add. It has a lot more stuff than recharge but doesn't have the kelp or molasses that recharge has. Ill just mix the 2 and there will be some overlap.

TheFamilyShire So everything is cruising along. I fed them once. Green rush nutrients are awesome. I love them. Dry organic powders that mix with water. Super easy. I will probably let these grow a couple more weeks then im taking clones and flipping. I have a male tiki madman grape ape x gushers in the tent is need to remove. Plan on a little pollination for them too. They are short. Kind of wish they would stretch more before I flip.

TheFamilyShire Still training them to be bushy. They are growing good. They had a hard beginning and almost died when they was babies and the #2 is a week behind #1. Both look good. They are branching out great. I plan on flipping them to 12/12 in 2 weeks. They dont get real big. I want them to be a decent size before I flip. Im also taking cuts from them soon.

TheFamilyShire Still LST them. I actually removed a bunch of leaves after the photos. They had a rough slow start to life but are ready to flip. I have to flip to 12/12 to keep a perpetual harvest. So I watered them today with some calmag and sea weed extract. When I feed them next time ill do a half/half grow/bloom nutrients. They are needing watered every other day at this point. I took clones of them all but its cold and they are not doing great. I might take more cuts in the next week. I will have to lollipop them wk3 flower.

TheFamilyShire So these girls have been in flower basically a week. Everything looks great. I took cuts again from a couple. Quikz for sure, tiki madman grape ape x gushers, and 2 b blunt. Can't wait to see these girls in flower, see if they are red runtz leaning. They usually flower faster also. Ive grown quikz a few times now. 2 for sure maybe 3x. Idk. I forget. These are my last 2 seeds of her tho. So Definitely gotta keep clones. She is usually greasy trichomes. Well see how it goes. Ok so last pics was a day or so after wk1. They both are stretching great. Both look great. I like the one on the left. #1. That one seems to be a bit bigger and more vigorous. But it is a week behind on growth because I had to start another seed when the other one didnt make it. So. Given that #2 looks great. Still my vote is with #1.

TheFamilyShire Everything is going great. The heat got up to 86°f so I had to turn the light down to 80%. Its a 645w light. Its also raised higher than normal for flowering. So far they all love it tho. They been praying and looking perfect. I changed the nutrients up to another company. CX Horticulture. So far they are loving it. Zero issues. Stay tuned. Im stripping the leaves in a couple days. Week 3 will show their new haircut.

TheFamilyShire So far they all look amazing. Quikz 1 is more stacked than quikz 2. Quikz 2 is a week behind schedule compared to #1. Both look amazing. Buds development looks great. 👌 Ok quikz #2 turned out to be a hermaphrodite so I removed it from my grow and gave her to my neighbor. Well #1 actually hermed also. I removed the male parts and am keeping her in the tent. So both hermed. Sux because I liked Quikz and I love red runtz.

TheFamilyShire Dude so guess what this last remaining Quikz also hermed. I removed the other one (#2) already. Gave to my neighbor. So I did find a few pods and male flowers on the last one. Im keeping it but removing everything i can see. She seems to have knocked up the other plants but not by much at all. Saved the day finding them sacs. Well see how things go.

TheFamilyShire Everything looks amazing. Some have seeds growing in the buds because of the 2x Quikz turning herm. Idk why. I didn't stress them. Must be genetics. Cereal milk or the red runtz. Which ive had a red runtz herm on me before so could be passed down . I love the plants in the tent. Every one looks amazing. The C X horticulture nutrients are kicking butt. This is my 1st round with them and so far no issues at all. Keep this girl healthy. Stay tuned for more frosty buds.

TheFamilyShire Everything is going great. The light is on 80% due to the heat. I might turn my AC on soon and then I can get the ppfd I want. The quikz plant smells very sweet kind of creamy. She get darker purple looking all the time. She will fade very pretty. The CX horticulture nutrients are kicking butt. So far I love them. Super easy to use. Well keep watching to see the plants grow.

TheFamilyShire Everything is growing great. Almost perfect grow beside the 2x quikz herming. I removed 1 that hermed the worse and kept the one that only had a couple male spots. I do have a clone of her too. I might give it to my father for outside this summer. I love quikz but she does check all the boxes for me. So I think I'll retire her after this grow.

TheFamilyShire Everything is going good. Plants a little small. Small buds. Just made a video. It's actually week 9 flower today. They will get chopped at 10 or 11 weeks. Had to harvest flosee x red runtz couple days ago. Really fast finish. She was done at week 8 but I let it ride till 9. Red runtz strains are usually fast.

TheFamilyShire Well the plant turned out okay. Got pretty seeded since she hermed. Seeded other plants too. Besides that she is easy to grow. Doesn't get to big. Yield is on lower side. Frosty and terpy. Just like red runtz. I grew this kind for couple years but decided to let her go for good. She does have self-seeded seeds.
