Welcome growfessors to the harvest of Mandarin dreams! These 5 ladies got chopped down this week, the three pheno 1 strains have nice dense buds, very sticky! One pheno 2 is very fluffy, airy buds and the other pheno 2, is someplace in between, not rock hard, but close to it. Last time I'll be growing this strain, she was easy to grow, but not a smoke I enjoy, the indica hits harder as the buds cure and I'm not that interested in couch lock. Will update in 7-10 days with dry weight.

Ok so I’m not afraid to say 7.7oz shocked me on the wet weight, I had a goal of 1oz dry being a first time grower, factoring mistakes, this and that so I guess we’ll see if what comes as I read up to 75% in weight can be lost in drying and curing….so fingers crossed I hit my goal 🤞 I harvested based on the 1st photo, I cut a small piece of bud off the main cola at the bottom to really check it under a scope and saw red headed trichomes, so checked the lowest flower and had the same results (photo 1), this was after I’d asked a question earlier based on a photo I took on a leaf and was advised to check the buds instead…so thanks for that info there 👍 Also a big thanks for the comments the looks at this diary. Really looking forward to the next couple of weeks and seeing how the rest of this little venture pans out…I guess we just have to stay tuned😊🤘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 12 Oct 2021: Harvested 16 Oct 2021: Plant seemed completely dry today which surprised me a little so I snapped stems and yus sir they were ready to be trimmed down….icky sticky, earthy, diesel, piney smells were the hints that were hitting me as I was trimming away, I have a lot of airy buds, which is on me! As a First time grower, until I actually got growing and started to understand the complexity and importance of keeping cannabis growing in stable conditions with par values on lights, feed schedules, trying to keep negative pressure in the tent with passive intake vents, adding lights, humidifier, dehumidifier, more fans…a learning experience indeed and not one I’ll be shying away from. Anyway there’s me blabbing on…..dry weight time 👀 38g/1.3oz and roughly 13g trim so I am extremely happy that even though I’ll probably lose about 8% of this during the cure, I think I made my 1oz goal of smokeable bud 🤘😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 A smoke report is due in 4 weeks when it’s had a bit of time to do what it needs to do!

25/8 Start of week 4 from seed I believe, plant 1, being fed 'Easy Boost Organic Combo' has the dry mix stuff in the Coco, added the 'part 2' tablet ended up mixing with 4L of water, says it lasts a week mixed up so I gave her about 0.5L today as she was really dried out. Plant 2, being fed 'Canna' colour seems to be getting better, I'm going to continue giving her canna CalMag & Rhizotonic' until she looks like she wants a bit more. All going well though, both plants are still alive after their topping! 🤞🌱💚 Man I need a bong now 🔥💚 26/8 both plants recovering well after being topped. Not been watered or fed since yesterday, will wait until they are drier. Plant 1 is going to be a lot more short and bushy by the looks of it (which is what I need in grow space). 27/8 plant 1 recovered a little faster, shed almost picture perfect, happy 1 plant 1 though. No feed or water again today 28/8 think I seriously overwatered plant 1 😂🙈 live and learn. Going to let her rest for a couple more days. plant 2 doing really well, unwilling start LST soon and possibly top a couple of sites early next week 29/8 plant 2 is taking off again, I've started LST on both of them. #1 is not as developed, I removed a few leaves off her today as they were preventing proper airflow. Plant 2 has been fed for the first time in a while, plant 1 has had a tiny bit of water 30/8 had every intention of transplanting both girls, however I only had enough coco for 1. Decided to transplant #2 in to 7Gal fabric pots as she is the most developed. Both have roots starting to push through the bottom of the old pots, may have left it a couple of days too long. 31/8 Coco coir never arrived for plant 1 so I'm hoping it come tomorrow. Plant 2 has been topped quite a few times today letting her rest now. Not sure what plant 1 is doing it could me getting root bound? Gave plant 2 some calmag water, nothing for plant 1

06/09/2020 Red Sky #2, #3, 4 are male, #1 is female #5 not showing yet. Males seem to be developing quickly, She will get two buds selectively pollinated by, male #3, and male #5 I'am growing

As she gets closer to the end these fat dense buds are filling out with a ton of trichomes that are so beautiful some almost look purple when the light hits just right. 01-11-2021: Good afternoon everyone... here we are again. My Bruce Banger will be ready in a week so I thought... I can probably germinate some seeds. I still have a lot of them (thanks to zamnesia) Every now and then I also post a report on Growdiaries and since you can only enter a competition there by using only one Strain I decided to put a round of Wedding Cake. I wanted to grow this variety when I still got my seeds from seedstockers, but found it too expensive at the time. Now I had two fish vouchers from zamnesia, each one good for 5 Wedding Cake Auto seeds. I didn't really like AFs per se (although I enjoy the result every day) so I called them and asked if I couldn't get Photos instead of Autoflowers... That was no problem at all, so I now have 10 have seeds. I have not yet found a method of germination on Hydro that works well for me, so we're going to do it in the most reliable way for me... old-fashioned in Cocos plugs. I let it fill itself with acidified (PH5.9) water and then provided each plug with a seed. I now put this under a 60W purple LED lamp that I still had from my very first cultivation attempt. Once they are up (I'm guessing/hope with a week) these will go into my budget system to grow there under 480W LM301H panels for a few weeks but with only 12 hours of light. The idea is to move these to the large closet as soon as they are about 4 weeks old, but that is not necessarily a requirement because you can also remove the lamps from that loft and move them to this room. That depends a bit on the size. What I'm going to test this round is how good/bad 12/12 from seed is doing in Hydro. Since most feeding schedules with hydro assume that you only pre-grow 1 week, I thought I might as well rule out that one week. In addition, from the moment the roots emerge from under the net pots, I want to increase the EC to 1.5 fairly quickly. I like small stocky plants without having to scrog. Maybe I'll top and maybe even mainline, but that depends entirely on the development of the ladies. In any case, there will be no feeding computer for the first few weeks (a bluelab Guardian) and as growth food they are given Hy-Pro Hydro A/B with Calmag (4-4-1 ratio). I expect very low temperatures in space so it won't be a banger. I have the impression that a correct root temperature compensates to some extent. I'm still looking for a way to transport the ladies in the right way (or I have to find a way to be able to use the same net pots in both systems). But that is of later concern. Since I only have 1 pre-growth room and 1 flowering room, I will put these ladies in a kitchen cupboard for the next week. The Bruce Banger goes on Sunday and then I can put them in there. The idea is to continue breeding on 12/12 from now on. After six weeks, new seeds will always germinate and no more than 5 at a time. I now make a round with originally 15 ladies, 3 of them were left behind in such a way that I took them out (to prevent rot) with the probable cause of too little light. 5 Planting will probably yield a little less, but hey, I can't finish it otherwise. And now my friends are very happy with my clearing days but of course that is not what I grow for. In addition, it also hurts a bit to give away 3-4 ounces after so many months of work. OKAY!!! I followed everything I had learned from others I know, and studying non stop for months to do this right. I saved up money to get my equipment and I decided to give it a try. I found this site looking at pictures of amazing buds from so many different people and watching so many grow videos and always dreaming of having a good grow like I've seen people can do.(just never in person) I had no idea how this was gonna turn out. But..... It's looking killer!!! Honestly best looking smoke I've ever seen!(in person) And I cant wait to see if it can live up to its aromas and mouthwatering looks!

Amazing Colours! As you can see the colours on this plant at the end of its run are absolutely amazing. The buds didnt out as dense as I had hoped but I think thats just this pheno and we are busy hunting a denser pheno atm. what a great strain to grow though. no problems during the cycle of the plant and the colours make it so rewarding to grow! I would definitely recommend this strain to people who like fruity and colourful plants. Barneys never disappoints really;)
