Hello This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. Getting her top, bigger, branches spread out, under the bottom rung of the cage. And I'll bring the smaller bottom branches up through the middle. It will work out good. The plant is doing good, but the leaves are so big, I might have to remove some so the light can get in to the smaller ones. I'm watering with 3/4 strength nutrient now. For the last day of the year we treat ourselves to the story of a special little girl. Her name is Biscotti, her name already says it all about the potential of this young girl born in Holland with this beautiful Italian Strain Name, she is precious and full of style since conception. She looks like she was designed by Pininfarina who smokes joints. It's a bit as if Gianni Versace had dressed her, extravagant, provocative, truly flamboyant, if you have the patience to look at the thousand photos that I made clear that I literally couldn't stop taking. It's a journey I don't want to leave, especially when I'm in the middle of it. terpenes, please leave me there! She grew up quietly, with her small internodal distance you could see that she was beautiful even without flowers, but it was when she flowered that she truly gave her best. Already from the first weeks of flowering you can understand very very well that the girl has a bright color and she threw resin very early thanks to Power Buds, Sugar Royal and Green Sensation in my opinion. The flowers have an imposing shape, they really are beautiful little purple beasts just in the dry room, for a few days soon we will do an initial test and then we will wait to taste it without too much fresh taste. I’m about sure to have rated 10 stars the strain and all feeding 5 stars but i found the strain rated 9 stars and the feeding 4, not sure but almost sure. I often get sad when I cut it, I'm too sad to cut it, I always think I'll smoke it and everything, but it's so beautiful that it makes my heart ache to cut it. It's her life cycle, otherwise she would rot for goodness sake, it's a joke but I really have a moment of shock in her heart. She'll move on to the first vaporized one I guess. Technique used - She was worked with a. single topping cut but leaving the two branches lower than the cut, thus obtaining 4 main branches with the relative branches. I also did a bit of LST at the beginning but having space problems then I decided not to let it expand too much. Flowers are beautiful beasts for truly yummi. Fertilizers - We have to make a special mention of Plagron I wrote a review in this diary which only partially explains how good this line of fertilizers is. I feel like I saw with my own eyes the changes in the plants when I gave the additives, I really saw the plants push in resin and everything. For more information read the review, I don't like to be repetitive, I don't write the quantities, they are also in the diary and in any case very similar to those recommended by the manufacturer. Never exceed this with any fertilizer and always flush. Esos fumetillas, que actualizo esas bombas de candy caramelo 💣 del banco Zambezaseeds. Y es que ya no les queda nada, estoy pensando en cortarlas con varios días de diferencia, pero ya veremos eso aún está por decidir. La cuestión es que mirar lo sanas que han llegado hasta el final y a sido Gracias al led que me mando mars hydro. Esta semana no se echo nada de productos y hasta el corte es lo que seguiré haciendo, con cada riego se alimente la planta con nutrientes o no se tiene que calibrar el ph, mantener la humedad por debajo del 50% Y la temperatura mantenerla entre 22/26 grados. La flor no es muy grande pero está compacta, tiene bien de resina, el olor es un olor dulce como a chicle de fresa. Muy peculiar y llamativo. July 6: looking good stating week 11. Nice response to the last round of topping to form a 16 cola manifold. After a couple more days of growth I’ll do another scrog layer to open it up further to the sun. So far so good. 👍 July 7: added scrog net. This is tied to half filled water bottles that can move if the plant catches some wind. Main reason at this growth stage is to help expose the growth tips and to hold down the fan leaves. Basically, I’m doing this instead of tomato cages because cannabis plants are tough and a net is better than a metal cage. July 8: hot 33 C today. Extra water, misting during peak sun, and some seaweed extract in the water. Continuing to mist regularly to make up for low humidity. Plant looks nice and green and vigorous. Growing at more than an inch per day now. July 9; hot again. Misting every few hours and foliar of seaweed extract and potassium silicate to help beat the heat. July 10: hot but this should be the peak day. Re-scrogged using a loose scrog layer. The overnight low here was almost 20 C which is super warm. Started another (third) lazy compost tea. Ingredients in a 5 gallon pail are 4 gallons (16 L) of water, compost, shredded coco coir fibre so bacteria have physical media to grow on, 1 tbsp of seaweed extract and humic acid blend, and 0.8 mL/L of Monster Maxx. About 1.5 tbsp of blackstrap molasses. No pH adjustment yet, and will let stand until end of day to allow some bacterial growth. July 12: made it through the heat wave and she looks great this morning.
