Hello everyone! 😎 We're back in the game, this time with two big hitters: Gorilla Cookies Auto 🦍🍪 and Forbidden Runtz Auto 🌈🍬!
Preparation of Coco Coir – It’s a Process, But Worth It! 🌱💪
Prepping coco coir is always a bit of a labor of love 💖, but it's all part of the game. I started by soaking the coco cubes in water 💧, adding a bit of Cal-Mag Xtra to give it that early boost 💪.After a good soak, I drained the coco, threw it in the pots and flushed it thoroughly 🚿. The next day, I gave it a final flush and let it rest for 12 hours (hey, that's part of my feng shui 😂). After the 12-hour "zen time" 🧘♂️, I prepped my nutrient solution with pH Perfect Sensi Coco Grow A & B, Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra, and my root boosters – King Crab 🦀, Great White 🦈, Myco Chum and Orca 🐋
Once I poured the nutrient-rich solution into the coco, I adjusted the pH to 5.8 📉 and let it sit for a solid 3 days. Time to get those seeds ready! 🌱🌟
Seed Germination – Let's Get This Show Started 🎉
The seeds went into 6.2 pH water 💧, where they had their little soak overnight. By morning, the seeds sank, which is always a good sign 🙌. I then transferred them to a small container where I placed them between two damp sponges . I made sure the container was humid 💦 and sealed it up, keeping it in a spot with a steady 23-25°C temperature 🌡️.
The next morning, both seeds showed me a tiny 1-2 mm taproot 🌱. No time to waste – they were telling me they’re ready! 😎
Final Coco Prep & Planting 🌱
I drained the coco once again and mixed it with 20% perlite to give those roots some room to breathe. Filled up the pots and made a 1 cm deep hole for each seed, placing them root down into the coco. After planting, I gave them a light mist with a spray bottle and covered each with a cut-off plastic bottle cap for humidity 🌫️, making sure to poke holes for air circulation 🌬️.
Tent Environment 🌡️
The current tent temperature is sitting at 24°C during the day 🌞, and I haven’t hit the night cycle yet 🌜, but we’re set for smooth sailing 🚀. The Quantum Board 240W is doing its job perfectly 🌟, and the coco is holding steady.
Let’s see what magic these two strains have in store! Stay tuned for more updates as we head into the next stage of this grow journey 🌱💪✨.
Day 1.
🌱🌿 After moving the seeds to coco, it took about 48 hours for both to pop their heads out! Runtz made it look easy 😎, but Gorilla struggled a bit with shedding its seed shell. I kept misting the top to help soften the dried membrane, but in the end, I had to step in with a little help from two needle tips. Now they’re both standing strong and happy 💪🌱. The tent is sitting at 20-24°C with 60% humidity. I’m keeping things moist by misting the area around the roots. Exciting times ahead! 😊💚
Day 2.
Gorilla had a bit of stress from the seed shell, but in my experience, a little stress at this stage often leads to a stronger plant 💪. Let’s see how it goes, but so far everything seems alright! I’ve been lightly misting around to keep the coco moist and give it about 50ml of clean water at the base to maintain hydration. 🌱🌿
Day 3.
🌱💧 The first week went really well! I gave them a few light waterings with a mix of Grow A 1ml/L + Grow B 1ml/L, Cal-Mag 1ml/L, and some root boosters according to the dosages—about 0.5-1 liter each time. Afterward, I topped off the coco since it settled a bit after watering. Gorilla is finally bouncing back, and looks pretty good considering all the birth stress it went through! 💪😅 Meanwhile, Runtz is growing like CRAZY—seriously, it’s unstoppable! 😂🌿
✅ By the way, here’s a little tip! When you’re buying seeds, always go for the bigger ones! After tons of testing, I’ve noticed the bigger the seed, the bigger and healthier the plant grows! 🌿💪
😎 I know not many people might be following this journal right now, but hey, let’s keep pushing and see where this goes! 💥✨
🌱 Week 2 is almost done, and the girls are looking great! 🌿
Runtz is the bigger one so far, while Gorilla is still catching up. I’ve been careful not to overwater—just keeping it light with 1ml/L of A and B, Micro Chum 1ml/L, and water at 140 PPM, which brings the total to 300-350 PPM. The max water given has been around 1 liter per plant.
Temperature during the day is sitting comfortably at 25°C, dropping to 19-20°C at night, with humidity between 55-80%. 🌡️💧
Everything interesting is still ahead! 🚀
🌱 Week 3 has started strong!
I’ve slightly increased the nutrients and gave each plant 1.5 liters of water with:
• A: 2ml/L
• B: 2ml/L
• Micro Chum: 0.8ml/L
• CalMag: 0.5ml/L
• Orca: 0.5ml/3L
• King Crab: 0.5ml/3L
•
Great white: ~ 1g/3L
PPM is sitting at 500 and pH at 6.2. Both plants are looking healthy and strong 💪. I’m planning to start LST (low-stress training) around day 21, so by the end of the week.
Daytime temperatures fluctuate between 22-25°C, and at night, they drop to around 18-22°C.
Exciting times ahead! 🌿😊
450-6.1 tea runtz - first runoff 420-6.5
450-6.1 tea gorila - first runoff 660-6.3
🌱 Week 4 has kicked off, and the plants are stretching out nicely!
I’ve started using LST (low-stress training) to spread them out as much as possible. 🌿 So far, everything looks good, but I noticed that the runoff pH is at 6.5, which seems a bit high for a coco substrate. To adjust, I’ve been watering with a pH of 5.5 to bring it down. Let’s see how things develop over the week. 🤞
Looking forward to seeing how they react! 💪🌱
🌱 Week 4 Update!
Yesterday, I did some defoliation, removing extra leaves—mostly from Runtz, but only three from Gorilla. For watering, I gave Runtz a tea mix with A+B 3ml/L, PPM 600 at pH 5.5. The runoff came out at PPM 300 and pH 6.7. Gorilla’s tea mix had A+B 2ml/L, PPM 400, and pH 5.5, and the runoff showed PPM 300 and pH 6.5.
I’m stretching them daily with LST—Runtz is looking great and responding well to the training. Gorilla, on the other hand, has had issues from the start and seems like it’s growing with some mutant traits this cycle. But hey, let’s see how it goes! 🌿💪
🌱 Hey friends! Continuing the grow report, and we’re now in Week 5!
Runtz has revealed her true colors—she’s a girl! 😄 Gorilla is still focusing on growth, but both plants have had LST training and defoliation.
I’ve been watering with a tea mix at PPM 600 and pH 5.8. The runoff shows:
• Runtz: PPM 350, pH 6.4
• Gorilla: PPM 200, pH 6.3
Right now, I’m watering every other day but expect to switch to daily soon. Both plants are growing strong, and I’m hoping they’ll start flowering this week. 🌸 The real beauty is about to begin as they enter the bloom phase!
Let’s keep an eye on these girls and see what they bring! 🌿✨
🌱 Defoliation Day!
Up until now, I’ve only been removing a leaf or two here and there, but today I went in for a full defoliation session. 🌿 It was a bit intense, but I’m hoping the girls handle the stress and bounce back stronger! 💪
Keeping a close eye on them over the next few days—let’s see how they respond! 👀 Fingers crossed for a good recovery and growth boost. 😊
Week 6 Update
Week 6 is complete! I did another round of defoliation at the end of the week and stretched the plants nicely. I’ve started feeding bloom nutrients to the Runtz, hoping the Gorilla will begin flowering soon as well. Fingers crossed for a December harvest!
On to Week 7!
🌿Hello friends, we’re in week 6.
🚫Runtz has started flowering, but I can’t say the same for 🦍Gorilla; it’s still in the vegetative stage. Hopefully, it will start flowering this week as well.
💦For Runtz, I’m using Bloom A 4ml/L + Bloom B 4ml/L + CalMag 0.5ml/L + MicoChum 0.8ml/L, with a PPM of 800 and pH of 5.5.
The runoff water is coming out at PPM 500 and pH 6.7.
💦For Gorilla, I’m continuing with A+B Grow 4ml/L + MicoChum 0.8ml/L + CalMag 0.5ml/L, PPM 800 and pH 5.5
The runoff water is coming out at PPM 580 and pH 6.8
🙌
I flushed my Runtz plant because it’s already in the flowering stage, and the pH level was too high for proper phosphorus absorption. I used 12 liters of water with a pH of 5.5, but the runoff pH stayed min 6.5. After that, I gave it a mix of Bloom A+B 4ml/l + CalMag 0.4ml/l + Myco Chum 0.8ml/l, with a PPM of 800 and pH of 5.5.
For the Gorilla plant, I’m still using nutrients intended for the grow stage since it hasn’t started flowering yet
A+B Grow 4ml/L + MicoChum 0.8ml/L + CalMag 0.5ml/L, PPM 800 and pH 5.5
The runoff water is coming out at PPM 460 and pH 6.8
Hey friends! 🌱 We’re in week seven, and earlier this week, I flushed the Runtz because I noticed a nutrient deficiency on a few leaves. Did a big flush with 15 liters of water at pH 5.5, which brought the pH down from 6.8 to 6.3 — and it should keep dropping gradually. Now it’s feeding happily with A+B 4ml/l, Myco Chum 0.8 ml/l, and CalMag 0.4 ml/l, with a PPM of 800 and pH 5.5. The runoff is at PPM 450 and pH 6.3. 🌊
As for the Gorilla 🦍, its pH also spiked up to 6.9, which caused a bit of burn on 2-3 leaves. So, today, I decided to give it a flush too and switch it over to flowering nutrients. Finally looks like it’s starting to bloom! 🌸
On top of that, humidity’s been pretty high 🌧️. It’s cold and damp outside, so tent humidity hits around 60% during the day and can go up to 90% at night! I know that’s way up there, but I haven’t had a chance to defoliate yet. Most of the moisture’s coming from the leaves, especially the ones overlapping at the bottom — they’re constantly wet. Might do one final defoliation in 1-2 weeks.
The uneven flowering also means the Runtz will finish up about two weeks before the Gorilla, which is a bit tricky since I’ll need to dry in the same tent and don’t have another space. 😅
I thought the Gorilla would stay small because it was stressed early on, but it’s really living up to its name — growing like a true beast! 🦍😂
This week, Gorilla had a flush 💦 due to visible nutrient deficiencies on the leaves 🍃. Here’s the breakdown of the last watering:
Gorilla:
• Bloom A: 4ml/l
• Bloom B: 4ml/l
• CalMag: 0.4ml/l
• Myco Chum: 0.8ml/l
• PPM: 800
• pH: 5.5
Runoff:
• PPM: 400
• pH: 6.5
Runtz:
• Bloom A: 4ml/l
• Bloom B: 4ml/l
• Big Bud: 1ml/l
• Myco Chum: 0.8ml/l
• PPM: 900
• pH: 5.5
Runoff:
• PPM: 500
• pH: 6.5
Runtz is about 11 days ahead of Gorilla in flowering 🌸.
This week, I’m not planning any major changes. I really wanted to defoliate because humidity levels are reaching 80-90% 💧, but I’ll hold off for now. I’d rather let the plants focus all their energy on developing flowers 🌺 instead of growing new leaves.
Wishing everyone a peaceful and successful grow! 🌿💚
Hello, friends! 🌟
We’ve entered the 8th week of our journey, and Gorilla is finally showing its true potential, stretching up and growing taller! 🦍💪 Runtz, on the other hand, is now fully focused on powering up those flowers. 🌸✨ Despite the challenging conditions, everything is going well so far!
Unfortunately, humidity levels are sky-high – around 70% during the day and up to 90% at night. 🌫️ Nighttime temperatures fluctuate between 16-18°C for about 4 hours, which isn’t ideal. 😅 The pH level stubbornly remains at 6.7, so I might flush again today… if I don’t get too lazy! 😂💧
I’m sticking to the nutrient doses as per the schedule, and I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking! 📸 Sending you all peace and good vibes! ✌️😊
Hey friends! 🌱✨
This week has been quite an adventure! I flushed “Gorilla” with 25 liters of water (pH 5.5) and finally managed to bring the runoff pH down to 6.5. Hopefully, it’ll start dropping further from here. 💧
Since “Gorilla” stretched a lot, I had to raise “Runtz” by 20 cm to even them out under the light. Now they’re both basking happily in that sweet glow! 🌞
Water consumption update:
• Runtz only needs about 1-1.5 liters per day now, which has reduced noticeably.
• Gorilla, on the other hand, drinks 2.3-2.5 liters daily to produce proper drainage. A thirsty beast! 😂
They’re both eating well and thriving, so no complaints there! 🍃
Flowering phase:
“Runtz” looks like it will finish right on time, but “Gorilla” seems to need a little extra. This might get tricky since I plan to dry both plants together. 🤔 I’m also slowly defoliating the lower leaves – humidity is high, so by next week, I’ll probably strip most of the lower and mid-level leaves to improve airflow. 💨
Now, about the aroma… WOW. It’s absolutely out of this world! Every time I’m home, I can’t resist opening the tent, sticking my nose in, and taking a deep breath. I’m literally doing this all day! 😂
The smell is so incredible, even a ladybug came to visit! Seeing that little red-and-black beauty on my green canopy was such a magical moment. 🐞💚
Another week down, and we’re riding this flowering wave with so much joy! 🌊 See you all next time for Week 9 updates – can’t wait to share what’s next! 🤩
Happy growing! 🌿
Hello, friends! 🌱
We’re now in week 9! 🎉 At the end of week 8, I trimmed the leaves on both plants that were blocking airflow. ✂️ I removed about 30-40% of the leaves. Today, the plants show no signs of stress, and I think they handled it well. 🌿💪 I’ll do another round of defoliation at the end of this week, but it’s still a bit early to disturb them further. ⏳
Gorilla is eating well 🦍, but Runtz has stopped feeding. Runtz only needs about 1 liter of water in a 13-liter pot, while Gorilla is taking 2.5 liters. 💧
Nothing much new to share for now, but I’ll update you with any news during the week. 😊
Wishing everyone a successful and productive week! 💚✨
Hello again, dear growers! 🌱👋
We’ve officially stepped into Week 10 of this wild and fragrant journey! Last week ended with a little makeover for the girls—I defoliated about 30-40% of the leaves again. ✂️ The Gorilla decided to keep me on my toes by showing some nutrient deficiencies on her leaves—guess she didn’t get enough food after the flush. 🍌🌿 (Lesson learned: don’t keep a Gorilla hungry!)
Now, let’s talk about Runtz! 😍 She’s an absolute queen—so photogenic that even my struggling phone can’t capture her real beauty. 📸✨ She’s forming into one giant, luscious bud, and her fragrance is something else entirely! 🕵️♂️ The carbon filter is fighting the good fight, but if the room isn’t aired out every 8-9 hours, a little aroma starts sneaking through.
But opening the tent… oh, my friends, that’s where the magic happens! 🌬️💫 The aroma is intoxicating—imagine diving headfirst into a field of flowers while bees whisper secrets in your ears. 🌺🐝 I just sit there, enchanted, savoring the smell, and staring at these beauties like a hypnotized gardener. Honestly, it’s hard to walk away. 😂
Here’s their menu for the week:
🍵 Feed: A+B 4ml/L, Micro Chum 1ml/L, Big Bud 2ml/L
📊 PPM: 1050 | pH: 5.8
💧 Runoff: PPM 1000 | pH 6.0-6.3
Now, for the not-so-great news…
I’m struggling with humidity levels—daytime sits around 65-77%, and at night, it can climb to a stubborn 80%. 🌫️ Temperature-wise, it’s 23-25°C during the day and drops to a cool 16-18°C at night. ❄️🔥
Despite the challenges, the endgame is near, and I’m savoring every moment of this grow! 🌟 🙌 Happy growing, everyone! 🌱🔥
Hello, friends! 🌱✨ Another week has passed, and here we are at the end of week 11! Not much has happened – I’ve kept things simple, just watering with minimal interference.
Runtz is almost at the finish line 🎯 – most of the trichomes are beautifully white, with a touch of amber shining through here and there. Gorilla, on the other hand, is taking its sweet time 🐢, but I’m hopeful it’ll catch up in the next two weeks.
Why two weeks, you ask? Because I’m heading to the mountains 🏔️ for a New Year’s vacation 🎉 and need to wrap up the cycle before then. By the time I leave, they’ll be wrapping up their 13th week – perfect timing, I hope!
For now, it’s all about the wait – the finish line is so close I can almost see it! 🌟🌿
Hello Growers! 🌱🌟
We’ve officially stepped into the 12th month, and here’s a little story for you! Yesterday, I accidentally damaged one of the very bottom branches of my Runtz – the one that barely got any light. Out of curiosity, I decided to dry it quickly in the oven and give it a try. Let me tell you… the name “Forbidden Runtz” isn’t just for show! 🔥 Despite my high tolerance, it hit hard, and I can honestly say this strain is not for beginners. I’m super satisfied! 😌
Now it’s Gorilla’s turn to get a taste test – can’t wait for that moment. 🦍🌿
Other than that, no big news. I’m patiently waiting for the end of the month, as I plan to wrap up the cycle around the 13th week. This week, I’ll give them another round of nutrients, and for the final week, I’ll start the flushing process. 🚿
The smell in the grow room? Absolutely unreal. It’s hard to describe, but it sticks to your brain so much that I sometimes catch myself remembering it while sitting at work! 🌬️💭
Wishing everyone an amazing holiday season ahead – let’s keep growing strong! 🎄✨
Cheers! 🍃
Hello fellow forum members and growers! 🌱👋
My grow journey has come to an end a bit earlier than planned. Why, you ask? Well, humidity decided to play the villain this time! 🌧️ The big buds started to rot from the inside, and I caught it just in time. Instead of risking more losses, I chose to wrap up the cycle. 🎬✂️
The last three days were spent flushing the plants thoroughly. 💦💧 Despite the early harvest, I’m pretty satisfied with both strains. Now, all that’s left is to patiently wait for the drying process to finish and welcome the New Year with a stash full of smokable joy! 🎉✨
I don’t usually weigh my harvests (because numbers are boring, right? 😜), but I’d say it’s a pretty decent yield. Let’s just say this year will definitely end on a high note. 😉🔥
Happy growing to all, and may your buds always be dense and dank! 🌿💨
