Not really updated anything Things are looking dank

The scrog was no good idea. Had to remove it today. Problems: unable to change water properly and can‘t clean the tank during the process. So.. scrog is gone and the LST is back 😂 and i switched to 12/12 because of my other plants in the tent.

Although she is still weird to me….she is a fighter for sure.

Starting week 6 of flower and everything is growing nicely and stinking up the place. This strain is not a huge yielder but it makes up for it in quality! Buds will still bulk up quite a bit in these last few week (she’s goes to 9 weeks). I will be doing 1 more defoliation of some bigger fan leaves that are blocking the light to the lower canopy sometime this week. Other than that the girls are cruising right along.

Started intense stress training by bending the main stems below the canopy line. She has stopped smelling completely which is a good sign the flowering has flipped nicely!

Fastbuds Girl Scout Cokies really has a very interesting personality. Low and neat bonsai style after the Topping and a precise defoliation has taken on a very beautiful shape and the inflorescences are very white and consistent and it seems that they will become very beautiful as soon as possible.

This week I noticed a decent increase in height and I figured I should get LST started. I wanted to wait to transplant my ladies, but due to covid, my supply of soil is not here yet, and I can’t fill my 10 gallon pots for the transplant. I looked up online and people said you should be able to transplant the plant successfully by cutting the ties and ensuring you just don’t disturb the roots / medium. I went ahead and got started with LST and I accidentally snapped one of my plants main stems during the process. I mean literally snapped, could see the hollow centres, hanging by a thread of fibre. *so heart broke * I had read online e you can repair it with duct tape and that aloe Vera helps. I did not have duct tape handy but I got some aloe and used the ducting tape that came with my exhaust fan to try to secure it. Fingers crossed it’ll heal If I had some root stimulant I would’ve tried planting it but I don’t have any. I was wondering could that be a form of super cropping? Do you think it’ll just be like a really brutal attempt at topping the plant? Very curious about everyone else’s thoughts on this Pics are attached. Aside from that one my LST went well from what I can tell. I did not train my blue dream out of fear of wrecking my one plant of that strain. I also did not LST one of my mystery caramel due to the stem feeling the same as the one that snapped. The rest I tied down and attached photos can you guys tell me if it looks like I did it correctly ? Would love some feed back. All in all I feel like we are kicking off the week strong. Day 72 - Trimmed em abit, took off some of the lower stuff.... they are happy.... haha nothing else to say, normal watering, the flush helped abit i think... Day 75 - UV bug zapper LED, posted afew pics of nighttime with the led, it's killed 10+ knats in the first day.... seems to be working.... :) Day 77 second day and it's killed alot more.... i lowered it, below the pot level... its got 3 modes- just led, just uv trap, and both uv trap / 10w led.... ...15+ gnats in 2 days.... *update, seems to work best with just the trap on, and led off, during night 12hr cycle..... i'm abit surprised, i didn't think it would work at all, see how the second trap works when it arrives..... 😎

I am excited to try out this new gorilla cookies from fastbuds. I originally started this setup to compete in the solo cup challenge, but I needed something that will be minimal maintainence and doesn't require hand watering. So this is what I ended up with. I will not be entering since I know it will bring controversy, but I am going to follow the rules and treat this grow as if I am competing. I didn't want to use regular solo cups because last time I had a lot of algae growing in the root zone when I harvested. I opted to use a black light proof cup. These cups were 27 oz originally so I filled them with 16 oz of water, marked the level, then cut them down to 16 oz. I set the drain pipes about an inch from the bottom so they have a little reserve if I have pump or power issues. I know people will see the drains as a way for roots to grow out of the cup but in reality I have to keep the entire pipe free of roots or it will clog and overflow. So I am actually losing a little volume due to this. I filled the bottom inch or so of the cups with river gravel to stop the perlite from washing into the reservoir. I am running a 5 gallon reservoir with a small air pump and the plants will be getting irritated 24 hours a day from an aquarium power head pump. I set the system up to be totally self contained and easily portable. It was all built from things I had laying around other than 97¢ for the cups. I will be keeping the feed simple as always feeding maxigro and maxibloom with a couple flower boosters.

Chopped down and trimmed 2 of my plants today at the end of their 2 week flush, will cut down the last plant next week and put my harvest weight up for the 2 plants worth of dried bud. Took about 4 hours to trim the 2 and I'm happy with the results, not sure how much is there but I'd rather weight til it's dry before I weigh it. There was also some strange looking new growth at the base of one of the plants, quite a few shoots with flowers so went through it and got about 30 good looking seeds out of it bit weird in my opinion but fair enough.. gonna carry these with me in a tin and plant them wherever I see a good spot outdoors and see what happens 😋 Hung them up today to dry as I didn't realize they would eventually go flat and take ages to dry if left in the trays 🙄🙄 should be alright now hopefully 🤞 The bud are nice and dry now after 5 days hung up, gonna leave them up another day as I've got some bovida 62 packs coming tomorrow that I'm gonna put in the jars 😊 gonna chop down the rest of the last plant tomorrow as well then hang that up to dry.
