16.4.25: I have retied the fabric ties again, as they're growing like crazy. Trying to open up the plant, to grow out as well as up. This will also create new colas. At this stage, I'm trying not to over fertilise like I did with the last grow. Focusing on Cal-Mag amino acids and Mega Crop Part A. The medium is my custom super soil, which is already fertilised with Ecothrive dry amendments. So I could just add water. However, as we've already run into deficiency, that would be careless. I find it easy to keep an eye on the plants and carefully inspect them daily to act quickly when issues arise. Learning how to determine the issue is what I'm still learning, which is the hard part 😅 It's all fun though, and I'm really enjoying this grow with all the toppings and FIMs. So far so good! 21.4.25: Hope everyone had a great 420! Northern lights is absolutely beautiful, great structure. I'm determining when to relax the LST as we are now in the beginning of week 3 flower. I do have height. However, I'd like to keep it reasonable. You never know when they will stop growing. I'm not really adjusting any ties since the last time, but I have added an LST clips as one of the middle tops was much talker than the others. I am trying very hard to exercise some much necessary self restraint here! 😅 it is becoming increasingly difficult! I have also noticed that there are signs of Nitrogen excess. Maybe 2 leaves have very thin overlapping blades. Instead of Mega Crop Part A and Cal-Mag amino acids, I will use Bud explosion PK booster with the Cal-Mag. This will make the N5 the only Nitrogen being given. It still may be too much, but will monitor closely to see the effect this change will make, if any. Balancing the nutrients is very important for me to learn, and it's going to be an ongoing process. I watered today with 3 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with the following nutrients: ♡ 1/2 Tsp of Bud Explosion PK booster by Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 5ml Cal-Mag amino acids by Xpert Nutrients 23.4.25: Plant seemed to be drinking heavily, so I watered again with 3 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 with;- ♡ 2.5ml Cal-Mag amino acids by Xpert Nutrients, and ♡ Ecothrive Biosys 1/8 tsp. I removed the plant ties and retied the plant after watering. Less ties are necessary as the plant has moulded and stayed in that structure. 25.4.25: Northern Lights was much overdue for a retie of the fabric ties. After this session of LST, the plant is absolutely huge. I really could easily fill the tent with just her. The fact that this plant could fill out a 4ft² space absolutely proves that autoflowering strains can outdo photoperiods. This particular strain, as well as my RQS Fat bananas, have been an absolute dream to grow. They take training like they're craving it. 😍 Thanks for checking out my diary and hanging out 😃💚✌️🍃😊

I used a macro lens from a fish eye kit you can buy for any phone to make that macro video, i highly recommend them it’s so easy to see when i can harvest , these are also very cheap but you do need a steady hand haha. I smoked some smaller buds about a week after harvest & it already tastes amazing almost like a reaalllyy sweet banana haha & the burn is good also i was suprised it was smokeable so fast. Fat banana is one of my favourite strains from now on! I also had 1 Sour Diesel in the tent but i’m still curing that one

5/11 - 5/17: I topped a couple shoots early in the week and have her in full LST submission..sprawling nicely.👌 I watered her once really well at the start of the week with endoboost, humic acid, silica, cal-mag, molasses, and big bloom...and a little bit of grow big. I foliar fed with boom boom spray one day, and a solution of fulvic acid, cal-mag, big bloom, sweet & sticky, and silica a few days. It rained really heavy on the night of the 15th, so I won't be watering again anytime soon. I topped another of her shoots on the 14th and about an hour later, I realized that I should have taken it as a cutting..I'll have enough soil for a few plants in 3 gallon pots, and from what everybody says, I'd be very happy with some more jars of #5. I spent all 3 seeds to grow this one plant, so I'll try rooting some clones of her soon...👈 This week I received my new portable outdoor misting fan and hoses and got it set up on a timer with just airflow while the lights are on, and once the temps reach about 95f regularly, I'll have my hose timer let 10 minutes of water every 2 hours get misted across the canopy. It should lower the "real feel" by about 25-30 degrees and increase RH considerably. Also hoping that the constant airflow will make them stronger and keep insects off of them somewhat. It will also enable me to easily give them a blow dry if it rains in late flower. But wait...that's not all....it's also gonna be very much more enjoyable for me to sit in the garden and do my thang. 👍

🌸 Sundae Driver — Week 9 Flower / Week 12 From Seed When the plant decides it’s time… you listen! Another beautiful, crazy, unforgettable week in our Sundae Driver adventure! The tent has been full of aromas, colors, and emotions — and this week brought a little surprise twist. Our Pheno #2, the bold one, the heavy one, decided she couldn’t hold her own weight anymore and literally bowed to gravity. When I arrived, half of her was on the ground, saying: “It’s time, my friend. Harvest me.” And honestly, she was right. Perfect trichomes, perfect colors — it was exactly her moment. So, we harvested her with love, laughter, and respect. Sometimes, nature tells you what to do, and all you can do is listen. We didn’t dry her whole as we usually do — since she broke herself in half, we had to go with a different approach this time. A reminder that every grow has its own personality and surprises. We took it as part of the adventure and had a good laugh about it — because in the end, that’s what growing is: learning, adapting, and enjoying every step. Meanwhile, her sister Pheno #3 is still standing tall and absolutely shining. She’s thriving under the LUMATEK, with her buds swelling beautifully, trichomes sparkling like sugar dust, and her structure holding strong (for now!). 🌱 Nutrients & Environment This week we’re keeping the mix balanced — still using the Plagron PowerBuds, Sugar Royal, Green Sensation, together with Aptus Regulator and CalMag Boost. Our pH sits nicely around 6.1, EC around 0.7, and the soil is still rich enough to carry the girls through these final stages. Temperatures hover around 28°C, humidity slightly high at 60+, but both phenos have been adapting beautifully. 🌿 About the Harvest For Pheno #2 — the early harvest wasn’t planned, but it turned out perfect. The trichomes were milky with just a few ambers, the aroma intense, and the density incredible. This shows that sometimes the plants truly know best. Her colas were so heavy they couldn’t stand anymore — that’s a good problem to have! 💪 Super Crop & Structure The earlier super crop training clearly paid off — the buds on the bent tops were some of the thickest and frostiest of all. It’s beautiful to see how resilience leads to strength; those stress points turned into power centers for growth. 🧠 What to Expect & What Not to Expect • Expect Pheno #3 to keep maturing beautifully over the next week or two — trichomes are developing wonderfully, and aromas are getting more complex by the day. • Don’t expect her to rush. She’s taking her sweet time, and that’s perfectly fine — every flower deserves her full moment. • Expect me to keep double-checking the branches — after what happened with #2, I’m making sure no more girls decide to “self-harvest” behind my back. 😂 💬 P.S. — About Holding the Weight For those reading this — always support your branches properly during late flower! When the buds get heavy (and believe me, they will), the stems can only handle so much. It’s always better to tie, stake, or net them before nature makes the decision for you. Everything is fine i still water-and feed them 5 times a week 2 times light compost tea with bath guano and molasses. I startd to add iguana juice bloom in my compost tea! Lets see the reaction of my girls. I also add a little bit of rhino skin by advanced nutrients against heat wave

I didn´t expect for her to stay alive. After toppin, she keeps goin 🤭😅 25/08 LST on the main stem 30/08 LST on side node If she doesn´t get into flowering, I can let her grow this slowly for another few weeks, then I can do her a 12-12 inside the tent. If she has a nice size...

Look at this... Look how fucking beautiful these plants are looking. It's really unbelievable that I am growing something like this at my home. This is their last week before harvest. The second round of photos are taken on the day before harvest. After that, I give them 24 hours of lights on to increase the trichome production even more but I'm too scared to do 48 hours on. They start to get a bit ugly, so I'm not sure if 48 hours of light would be too much

Very good strain,very easy to grow

Doing great as you can see, flipped schedule to 12/12 hope it goes into flowering in a couple of days. Plant is loving the rqs organic pellets in the substrate

Took 2 clones from my sunset sherbet this week towards the end of the week. There continues to be explosive growth with this plant. I plan on switching to flower in a month or so and we will find out how she really performs.
