๐ŸŽฅ My Week 3 Grow Log: Starting the Mainlining Process Introduction & Timing Whats Going On Growmies !!! welcome back to the 2025 Winter Grow! This week marks a really exciting milestone because the Special Kush 1 is finally ready for its first major structural training. Weโ€™re currently in Week 3 of the vegetative stage, and the plant has gotten big and healthy enough to handle some High-Stress Training (HST). The Main Goal: Mainlining My focus this session was to initiate mainlining. For those who don't know, this is the technique I use to create a perfectly balanced, symmetrical canopy, which should lead to much bigger and more uniform colas later on. This is where we lay the foundation for maximizing our final yield. The Steps I Took (Topping) Selection: I examined the plant and chose the perfect spot for the cut. I decided on the third node (counting from the bottom) as the anchor point for the manifold. The Cut (Topping): I carefully took my sterilized shears and topped the plant, removing the entire top growth tip (the apical meristem). This was done right above the selected third node. Redirection: Removing that main growth tip gets rid of apical dominance. Now, all of the plantโ€™s energy will be diverted equally into the two main side branches growing out of that third node. These two branches are what will form the central "Y" shape of the manifold. The Clean-Up (Pruning) Lower Growth Removal: To ensure every bit of energy goes to those two future main colas, I systematically removed all of the lower growth. This included all the secondary growth tips and fan leaves from the first and second nodes. The New Structure: After the trimming, the plant now has a clean, bare stem leading up to the two chosen branches at the third node. This is the official "beginning of the mainlining" process. Next Steps The plant will now focus on recovering and growing those two new main branches. In the next few days, I'll probably be tying those two branches down gently to keep them level and open up the center (that's the Low-Stress Training part of mainlining). I'm really happy with how the first cut went. Stay tuned for the next part where we continue to shape this manifold! My Week 3 Grow Log: Precision Nutrient Feeding Part 1: The Nutrient Mix and Strength Check Water Base: I started with my baseline water and made sure it was ready for mixing. The Flora Series Mix (Per Gallon): I carefully measured out the General Hydroponics Flora Series nutrients, following my specific Week 3 veg schedule: FloraMicro: 4.5 ml/gal (This provides essential micro-elements and buffers the solution. FloraGrow: 6.1 ml/gal (This is the primary source of Nitrogen (N) for rapid leaf and stem growth.) FloraBloom: 3.0 ml/gal (A smaller dose is included to ensure all necessary P/K elements are present, even in veg.) CalMag Boost: Crucially, I added 1.9 ml/gal of CalMag. Motivation: This ensures the plant has enough Calcium and Magnesium to prevent deficiencies and handle the increased light intensity, especially as it recovers from stress. Part 2: pH Adjustment and Application The Critical pH Check: I tested the pH of the nutrient solution. Motivation: Nutrients are only available to the roots within a specific pH window. I adjusted the mix using pH down (as is usually the case with the Flora Series) until the solution was dialed in between 6.0-6.5 for optimal uptake. The Watering Technique: I slowly and evenly applied the nutrient solution to the container, making sure the entire medium was saturated. Run-off Check (The Final Step): The most important part of this session was checking the run-off. By testing the run-off EC and pH, I confirmed that the root zone is healthy, that the plant is taking up food, and that old salts aren't building up in the container. Summary of Results Everything looks good! With the perfectly balanced and measured nutrient cocktail, the Special Kush 1 now has the necessary fuel (especially the high nitrogen from the 6.1 ml/gal FloraGrow) to heal quickly and push those two newly topped branches into strong growth, setting us up for success with the manifold!

โญ TrolMaster tracking โญ I started to track my crop during week 15, when I got the Tent-X TCS-1 by TrolMaster. First impression was: this is too professional for me, I can't handle setting it up and using it well. Then I started reading some posts on Instagram, I visited their site and in 5 minutes my cultivation experience took a huge step forward with disarming simplicity, I couldn't believe it. I have uploaded tracking videos from the TrolMaster app for each week from the 15th to the 19th, as well as the two weeks of drying stage. โญ Controller Chronicles โญ Day after day I appreciated the clarity and precision for data, access to all settings and instant readings by connecting a WIFI router to the controller's LAN port. I loved the possibility to dim my lamps remotely, or even automatically based on the temperature in the box! ๐ŸŒฑ GERMINATION (2 days) Seeds in a glass of EC 0.4 tap water for 10 hours, then in root riots and under the lamp. They sprouted after 48 hours from dry seed. ๐ŸŒฟ GROWING STAGE (10 weeks and half) I decided to give these plants a long vegetative growth and this allowed me to do a lot of training on both. Starting from the 4th veg week I started with defoliation sessions every two weeks, for a total of four during the entire vegetative phase. The last defoliation was done a couple of days before the switch, in order to allow the lower parts of the plant to get as much light as possible. Furthermore I did Topping on week 6, cutting the apical branch, then on week 8 I did Topping again on several sites, as well as SuperCropping on the highest branches to make the canopy uniform. The light cycle I used is 18/6 and the last two veg weeks I lowered the light hours to 16/8 first and 14/10 then. During the veg stage I made 4 DWC change, PH was always between 5.5 and 6, about EC I started with 0.6 and was 1.4 on the last veg week. ๐ŸŒธ FLOWERING STAGE (9 weeks) I started this phase after 36 hours of darkness, I then changed the DWCs solution (adding a flowering stimulator). Then I mounted the ScrOG-net about 50 cm from the base of the plants and I wove the phenotype #1 through the net occupying at least 60% of the available space; the phenotype #2 stretched shortly after the switch and I used the net only to widen the central branches. They showed the pre-flowers two weeks after the switch, then I made two defoliations on week 3 and 5 flo. During the last four weeks of flowering (weeks 6-9) I simply paid attention to the PH-EC levels to provide the roots with optimal conditions. I then kept the TEMP-RH-VPD-PPFD values โ€‹โ€‹under control and this also thanks to the Tent-X controller by TrolMaster which allows me to provide optimal conditions also above. I chopped them when trichomes were about 85% milky and 15% amber. During the flowering stage PH was always between 5.8 and 6.2, about EC I started with 2 and was 2.3 on the last week before flush. โœ… HARVEST - From dry seed to harvest: 140 days (2 days germination + 75 days veg + 63 days flo). - Chopped after 4 days flush and 48 hours in dark; - Wet trim, removed fan leaves. โœ… DRYING STAGE - Time: 14 days; - Average: 20ยฐ C - 50% RH. - After that I made a dry trim, removed branches and sugar leaves. โš–๏ธ DRY WEIGHT - Phenotype #1: 230 gr buds + 25 gr larf; - Phenotype #2: 105 gr buds + 50 gr larf. So, the overall dry weight is: 335 gr buds + 75 gr larf. โœ… CURING STAGE - Curing is done after 30 days with Boveda 62%.

The girls were harvested at 94 days. I didn't weigh it, but I believe they yielded around 30 to 40g for both. I am very satisfied and happy to have achieved a very good result, being my first time growing. A cycle closes and a new will come soon with new soil assembly, new genetics and more experience. Thanks to Shiva for tending and blessing the crop, and to all friends here who have sent messages of support and encouragement. I gained another family. Happy 2023 to all, may it be a year of much evolution and beautiful flowers. Om Shanti

These plants were very easy to grow. They didn't get very big, but had a great yield for average sized plants. A tent full of them would offer a solid yield. Nice big, dense, sticky buds. The colas cured into some really gorgeous produce, and the flavors just keep improving with time. Yield: 8/10 Potency: 7/10 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 8/10 Bud density: 8/10 Another winner from AMS!

I've been waiting for at least some trichomes to turn amber. I prefer to harvest when there are at least a few amber. I took the PL2 3 days before the PL1. Flushed them for a week only

OK, im doing an update now becouse my breakup cake is going tranny!!(hermie) I already have noiticed she was not growing as strong .. but u can blame that on anything , especially when growing outdoor.. but this morning i saw that she was g(r)oing 'bananas'!๐Ÿ˜ข I have put her aside from the rest (in the back of garden) but think gonna have to terminate her asap!..(and i will, right after this post๐Ÿ‘) The weed she will give will be filled with seeds and those seeds will be hermies too, so wothless.. and if i dont throw her away quick she can infect the rest. So goodbye breakup cake..๐Ÿ˜ข who wants to eat a cake when they are breaking up anyway..๐Ÿ˜’ (just hiding my pain with lame humour ๐Ÿ˜ณ) happy growing for all โœŠ

Hey guys :-) First of all I have to say that all 5 strains I have in the tent from Amsterdam Genetic are beautiful genetics ๐Ÿ‘ . This week they were repotted into 8L fabric pots. When repotting, 2 g of Green House Powder Feeding Bio line were added per liter of substrate :-) . That's enough until the first flowers start ๐Ÿ‘. Watering was done twice this week with 0.8 l each. Otherwise everything was cleaned and checked and fresh osmosis water was mixed. Wellโ€ฆthese ladies have me always guessing! TYPICAL! Lmfao also growing a newer strain so Iโ€™m glad to be a part of it all. Theyโ€™re def chunking up and showing signs of massive purpling on just a single plant. The other 4 arenโ€™t quite there. Let me tell you though, the shorter one DEF have a berry/gas smell compared to the taller more sativa-like plants which have such a peculiar bud structure. Either way both looking awesome and quite surprised as to how they bounced back and are chunking up quite nicely. Iโ€™ll be expecting to use my ripening dry kool bloom next few waterings then flush time for the yum time ๐Ÿคค ๐Ÿ’จ

SONG OF THE WEEK : Isaiah Rashad - 4r Da Squaw ------- Day 32 - That week is a bit hard to manage as the weather is clearly against me, after the hard sun it is time for the heavy rain to shows up ๐Ÿ˜ง. But it's outdoor rules. But the ladies are doing good : -SSW#3 were topped + suppercroped thanks to Tazard & Lumberjack advices I think she's doing right ( many thanks guys ๐Ÿ˜). She's 20 cm tall now -SSW#1 Will not be topped , I'm just doing a light LST on her by bending each secondary stems with my fingers everyday and you can see a "good" result on the pictures. She's 34 cm tall -SSW#2 is late on the secondary stems but tall , I still don't know if I'm gonna train her. She's the tallest with 39cm
