Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. A lot has happened in the last week. First thing is i harvested all the other plants in my garden. 2nd is i got a new light!!!! A green sunshine company electric sky 180. It is a 24.5 inch long led panel with 3 different sprectrum Samsung mid powered diodes (180 total pulling 1 watt each). Super clean light and it has linear lenses that house the leds so it focuses the light down rather than losing light to a wider spread. Since hanging it, this girl prays hard and the undergrowth is getting a lot more light now also. 3rd thing is i put 10 worms in the pot, hoping they will make castings and more available food as we transition this girl into flower. 4th thing is i am slowly transitioning the light schedule. Right now shes up to 9 hours of darkeness a night and soon she will get to her final 11on/13off light schedule. Last night I gave her a tea consisting of OregonismXL, grokashi and bloom yellow bottles "Seaweed." Looking amazing and still loving her no till pot.

Very happy and healthy plant.. i look forward to flipping her to flower with the other two I have going in the next couple weeks.. I like variety.. I'm excited for this one Atlas seeds has not let me down yet..Happy Easter to everyone God bless and happy growing 🙏

Very easy to grow, doesnt require much nutrients but needs loads of cal/mag in flower. You've been warned, ive had 9 seeds and 9 successful yields so the nimbers don't lie. #420everyday.

Those babies stated to drink a lot, drying a substrate in 24 hours decided to replant them into the large 25 liter air-pots. The roots are visible and developed quiet good, so i hpe it was good timing to do that. Also made some topping on one of plants, others will be topped this week. Generally all goes good👍

Week 4 for the gorilla cookies from fastbuds 420 All good so far, we continue to apply addictives from xpert nutrients and add some more bloom nutrients as some of the girls are demanding a little more bloom nutrients. All good so far and not much more weeks to go, lets see of the girls continue to swollen up a bit more

The Lemon Haze Auto is cruising along nicely this week! 🌿 She’s looking healthy overall and seems to be fully focused on doing her thing – stacking up trichomes and building those buds. The smell is really starting to develop too – classic hazy notes with a zesty lemon twist in the background 🍋🔥

W19 (Harvest) 6-6 Last day before harvest. 7-6 Harvest day! Installed a humidifier outside the tent, set to 55% aiming for a 60% humidity inside the dry tent. 17-6 After 10 days of drying she is ready to be trimmed. While posting this a couple of months later i found out that i totally forgot to make pictures and video's of the trimmed buds 😅 End result #1: 37 Grams of dried buds. 35.84 Grams of dried trim and very small buds, into the freezer. I would describe pheno 1 as normal frosty, almost stone like buds, smells chemical with hints of dish soap (i really like it!) I cant describe the taste but it was very tasty out of the box, before the cure, very sad i only had 37 grams of it haha. End result #2: Around 70 grams of dried buds. 43.23 Grams of dried trim and small buds, into the freezer for bubble hash. I would describe pheno 2 as very frosty buds, little bit fluffy, smells very gassy, with a nice sour taste after curing a couple of months. Very interesting strain, i will definitely grow it again! I have some trim and small buds saved up from different strains and i will be posting a diary of the full process making hash of them! If you are interested in me making bubble hash feel free to follow me as i will make some in the next month, this way you keep notified!

Overall really pleased with finished buds really frosty, tight packed and really dense. Not bad for 3rd grow, really learning a lot each time and can’t wait to get back up and running. Been really easy to grow this strain minimal attention needed, really busy most of time so this strain is recommended for someone who doesn’t have an awful lot of time to really invest and if you have time even better as this strain I believe would be capable of much more with a bit more pampering
