Update - day 46 04/01/21 I'm a little concerned about the 2 runts that were laggin behind the rest, all of a sudden theyve decided they want to take up most of the room in the tent. I've never grown autos so big.. I was contemplating putting the runts outside but it's just going to make more problems as my outdoors are under attack from some kind of bug. I originally had applied to Green House Seed Co.'s Taste of the USA Contest here on Grow Diaries. Turns out I was ineligible but the good folks at GHS still had the big hearts to send me seeds anyway. So big ups to them for hooking this grower up. Welcome to the Sea of Fire 🔥 For this grow were using the Dark Phoenix seeds that GHS sent to me to create a Sea of Green. I've got 8 plants in 8 1L pots. I've decided to use Black Swallow's living soil for this grow so we won't need to add anything but water for the first 3 weeks or so. Our goal for this grow is to have these girls ready for harvest in about 20 weeks which will bring us to the beginning of November 2021. If all goes according to plan these firey buds should be filling my friends stockings this Christmas.

🌿 Week 14 Update: Khalifa Kush - Preventative Strikes & Airflow! 🛡️✂️ Let's go! Welcome to the new week for the Khalifa Kush. She is absolutely loving the balcony life, but after the recent battles indoors, I had to make some tactical moves this week to keep her safe and thriving. 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Preventative Warfare: After dealing with that brutal thrips infestation inside the tent, I am taking absolutely zero chances out here! I had to bring out the neem oil and give her a thorough foliar spray just in case. I definitely don't want what happened to the indoor girls to happen to this massive bush. You can actually see the fresh oil and water droplets resting on the lush green foliage in the close-up shots! 💦🌿 Opening Her Up: To go hand-in-hand with the pest prevention, I got in there and did some much-needed defoliation. She was getting incredibly dense, so taking off some of those larger, light-blocking fan leaves really helped open her up a bit. It drastically improves the airflow through the center of the plant and makes sure the neem spray can actually penetrate the whole canopy. ✂️🌬️ Vibrant Health: She took the pruning and the spray perfectly. As you can see from the overhead shots, the leaves are rocking that deep, rich, leathery green, and the structure is looking incredibly strong. She is looking super lush and happy! 💧 Next Steps: With her canopy opened up and a protective layer of neem oil applied, we are in a fantastic spot. The main goal now is to just keep her well-fed, monitor the leaves to ensure no pests try to bypass our defenses, and let her keep building that massive frame in the sun. Let's keep it growing! 🌱💨

Week 11 - Day 5 : Pinches branches of subject 1, take a good look and tell me what you think, had my first harvest of ladybugs in the garden and released them on my plants, noticed that I have very little spider mites on my plants. 8/28/2022 - 21 days since my little girl sprouted from seeds🌱 The third week of vegetation of my Mandarina XL 🍊🍊🌻 Nutrients: Jungle Indabox - I had to adjust the dosage, after the first dose of nutrients, the lower leaves of the plant lightened a bit, this was especially visible on her sister Orange Sherbet Auto, which burned the tips of the lower leaves - after this week I reduced the dose by half 🍃🍃 Hesi: Hesi Root Complex I give this root stimulator for root support, although Jungle Indabox also supports root growth, namely: Jungle Urban A - (N-P-K) - (2-1-6) Everything for healthy growth and formation of the root system Atami - ATA Calmag - I missed completely Advanced Nutrients - Bud Candy - I also adjusted the dosage by half 🍬🍬 Pre-flowering: This week the classic white hairs indicating the female gender appeared on the stem 👩‍🌾👧🏼 Light: Mars Hydro TS1000 - really great lamp with sufficient lighting and energy-friendly 💡💡 Training: Topping: I usually top in the third week of the plant's life, just like this time. However, now the girls are very advanced in growth, so they will have more main branches 🌴🌴 LST: Two days after topping, I anchored the lowest branches to the ground with metal clips, tied the higher branches with a string towards the edges of the flower pot, so that the light would shine on each of them 💡💡 Defoliation: In the next two days, I cut off all the large leaves that were shading the branches 🌞🌞 The girl is no longer a child, she is a strong young lady, full of branches and leaves.
