08/21/24. Going into week 8 flower Day 57 out of stated 64. So one week left exactly. I’m not sure on that. She’s still drinking at the same rate as usual, and there’s still quite a few white hairs. I’ll be looking at her trichomes today anyway, just to see where we’re at. Either way she’s getting just water from here on out. She’s dark af and has some nutrient burn anyway, so I’m sure she’ll be fine. She’s fattened quite a bit more than I expected. Seemed like her buds would be kinda long and skinnier. No complaints here though. She’s getting pretty damn frosty and sticky too. She has a kinda piney sweetish smell. Start the count down ⏰ See yuh ✌️

Day 21 After an emergency bare root transplant from a biosolids medium to organic soil, there’s a glimmer of hope for my photoperoiod plants🙏 They got topped and pruned yesterday. a little earlier than I would have liked, but it made sense. Day 23 Transplanted again down to 2 gallon pots to make room for another round I started. I decided to cut the fan leaves, too. These have been pruned and topped down to nothing but the emerging foilage from the 3rd and 4th nodes. My thinking is that the root system is so compromised that the less foliage they have to feed, the better. Fed some General Organics Bio Root 0-1-1 to promote root growth. Light mnist of pH’d water for foilar feeding. Day 25 I think the Bio Root and the shade is doing them good 🤞Time will tell. If these come back strong, I’ll move them into 15 gallon living soil bags.

Lemon tree strain is growing big for a seedling

The buds are gaining mass really fast now and even the smaller plant looks good. I decided to take them inside because there is supposed to be a thunderstorm with heavy rain today. Really happy how they are turning out so far.

Noticed a bit of curling in the leaves and some spots thinking its windburn. We have repositioned the oscillating fan and waiting to see if that will help. There also seems to be a bit of discoloration on the Skywalker Haze, not sure what’s happening there.

Amber trichs are just starting to show up and for my preference that's my Q... Put em in the dark for couple days and flip em upside down ;P really excited... Took a little sample off each one to check for seeds and problems ect. And u know I couldn't go without sparking up... Lemme just say... Every cookies strain except the fried banana tastes amazing right off the bush... (That's not to say fried banana isn't good either just had problems and it hermied and freaking got my orange cake along with it ... Haven't found anything on the big Z or spilt paint but u can't about bet ur bottom it happened to them too... So that didn't thrill me... But for the most part these cookies have been really good to me... Big Z smells like absolute zkittles and u can really smell the runtz too! All followed by a sweet earth smell that just lingers for ever! It's great! All n all pretty stoked! I'll get a total of the 3 plants... Fried banana is going to hash and I'll press it to some oil ...

Had to do a root wash, again, also cut some really bad roots of, also saw lots of new healthy root growths since last week, upping ORP and wash last week seemed to have helped. Overall still very unhappy but that is on me, learned that prepping a plant in DWC and then transplant it to NFT is not a good idea, better do it as usual directly in NFT so that the roots follow the stream better, usually at this time there would be at least 3x the amount of roots. Also switched back to the 10cm diameter tube, will stick with that one from now on, very good experiences in the past and this one does not, maybe RH does not rise enough in a 16cm diameter tube. Also changed the light cycle to 18/6 from 24/0, in the timelapse I see phases where the leafs droop slightly and come back, kind of like the night cycle but less, seems to me like the plant wants to go to "sleep" even tough it was raised in 24/0 and I have good experiences with 18/6. Howdy, So this is now the first day of week 14, which is 99 days from sprout, 53 days from when I flipped the lights to 12/12. Still maintaining nutrients at the same levels, topping up on alternate days with RO water or Nutrients. Checked the trichomes under the scope yesterday, but forgot to save the video. So will post a video in a couple days time when I check them again. So far it’s looking like they’re about 75% clear, 24.5% cloudy and the other half percent are made up of translucent amber trichomes. I think she’s still got another 2 weeks in her, as I’ve read that people make the mistake of cutting early because they go off breeders flowering type from the day they flip lights when you should do it from the day you see pistols, which for me was about 8 days into 12/12. Really struggling to keep humidity down, so have a 10L per day dehumidifier coming this week to aid me in the last couple weeks to make sure all this hard work wasn’t for nothing! I needed one anyway to use once this lady is hung up to dry. I am still having to cut off about 5-10 buds per week that are burning unfortunately. I am also in the process of building a grow room around the tent, if I can get it finished, that will mean I can give these ladies some more space and finally be able to raise the lights. I think the better quality smoke will be just under the canopy as I have a feeling the lights are frying off the THC faster than the plant can produce it. Hopefully it can recover once I raise the lights... Anyway, waffling over. 🌱

This was the first grow of my own, and it went pretty smooth overall. I'll update the outcome, tastes & effects after it has dried. growdiaries.com has been a great experience so far, very happy! 😀 Final dry weight was 2.4oz!!!👍
