2nd net is up. Early bud formations are promising. holding up to the extremes pretty well, some leaves taking minor damage, but overall, she is holding up, gave her 1 night at 50F see how she would react, stressful. Not advised as it messes with her metabolism, but I want to see if it triggers any anthocyanin response. Love to see her purp up but no signs yet. My homework. Rubisco regeneration is intrinsically linked to nitrogen supply because Rubisco is a major sink for nitrogen in plants, typically accounting for 15% to over 25% of total leaf nitrogen. The regeneration phase itself consumes nitrogen through the synthesis of the Rubisco enzyme and associated proteins (like Rubisco activase), and overall nitrogen status heavily influences the efficiency of RuBP regeneration.Structural Component: Nitrogen is an essential building block for all proteins, and the sheer abundance of the Rubisco protein makes it the single largest storage of nitrogen in the leaf. Synthesis and Activity: Adequate nitrogen supply is crucial for the synthesis and maintenance of sufficient Rubisco enzyme and Rubisco activase (Rca), the regulatory protein responsible for maintaining Rubisco's active state. Nitrogen deficiency leads to a decrease in the content and activity of both Rubisco and Rca, which in turn limits the maximum carboxylation rate, Vmax, and the rate of RuBP regeneration Jmax, thus reducing overall photosynthetic capacity. Nitrogen Storage and Remobilization: Rubisco can act as a temporary nitrogen storage protein, which is degraded to remobilize nitrogen to other growing parts of the plant, especially under conditions of nitrogen deficiency or senescence. Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE): The allocation of nitrogen to Rubisco is a key determinant of a plant's photosynthetic nitrogen use efficiency (PNUE). In high-nitrogen conditions, plants may accumulate a surplus of Rubisco, which may not be fully activated, leading to a lower PNUE. Optimizing the amount and activity of Rubisco relative to nitrogen availability is a target for improving crop NUE. Photorespiration and Nitrogen Metabolism: Nitrogen metabolism is also linked to the photorespiration pathway (which competes with carboxylation at the Rubisco active site), particularly in the reassimilation of ammonia released during the process. To increase RuBisCO regeneration, which refers to the process of forming the CO2 acceptor molecule Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP) during photosynthesis, the primary methods involve optimizing the levels and activity of Rubisco activase (Rca) and enhancing the performance of other Calvin-Benson-Bassham (CBB) cycle enzymes. Biochemical and Environmental Approaches: Optimize Rubisco Activase (Rca) activity: Rca is a crucial chaperone protein that removes inhibitory sugar phosphates, such as CA1P (2-carboxy-D-arabinitol 1-phosphate), from the Rubisco active site, thus maintaining its catalytic competence. •Ensure optimal light conditions: Rca is light-activated via the chloroplast's redox status. Adequate light intensity ensures Rca can effectively maintain Rubisco in its active, carbamylated state. •Maintain optimal temperature: Rca is highly temperature-sensitive and can become unstable at moderately high temperatures (e.g., above 35°C/95F° in many C3 plants), which decreases its ability to activate Rubisco. Maintaining temperatures within the optimal range for a specific plant species is important. •Optimize Mg2+ concentration: Mg2+ is a key cofactor for both Rubisco carbamylation and Rca activity. In the light, Mg2+ concentration in the chloroplast stroma increases, promoting activation. •Manage ATP/ADP ratio: Rca activity depends on ATP hydrolysis and is inhibited by ADP. Conditions that maintain a high ATP/ADP ratio in the chloroplast stroma favor Rca activity. Enhance Calvin-Benson-Bassham (CBB) cycle enzyme activity: The overall rate of RuBP regeneration can be limited by other enzymes in the cycle. •Increase SBPase activity: Sedoheptulose-1,7-bisphosphatase (SBPase) is a key regulatory enzyme in the regeneration pathway, and increasing its activity can enhance RuBP regeneration and overall photosynthesis. •Optimize other enzymes: Overexpression of other CBB cycle enzymes such as fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase (FBA) and triose phosphate isomerase (TPI) can also help to balance the metabolic flux and improve RuBP regeneration capacity. Magnesium ions, Mg2+, are specifically required for Rubisco activation because the cation plays a critical structural and chemical role in forming the active site: A specific lysine residue in the active site must be carbamylated by a CO2 molecule to activate the enzyme. The resulting negatively charged carbamyl group then facilitates the binding of the positively charged Mg2+ion. While other divalent metal ions like Mn2+ can bind to Rubisco, they alter the enzyme's substrate specificity and lead to dramatically lower activity or a higher rate of the non-productive oxygenation reaction compared to Mg2+, making them biologically unfavorable in the context of efficient carbon fixation. The concentration of Mg2+ in the chloroplast stroma naturally increases in the light due to ion potential balancing during ATP synthesis, providing a physiological mechanism to ensure the enzyme is activated when photosynthesis is possible. At the center of the porphyrin ring, nestled within its nitrogen atoms, is a Magnesium ion (Mg2+). This magnesium ion is crucial for the function of chlorophyll, and without it, the pigment cannot effectively capture and transfer light energy. Mg acts as a cofactor: Mg2+ binds to Rubisco after an activator CO2 molecule, forming a catalytically competent complex (Enzyme-CO2-Mg2+). High light + CO2) increases demand: Under high light (60 DLI is a very high intensity, potentially saturating) and high CO2, the plant's capacity for photosynthesis is high, and thus the demand for activated Rubisco and the necessary Mg2+ cofactor increases. Mg deficiency becomes limiting: If Mg2+ is deficient under these conditions, the higher levels of Rubisco and Rubisco activase produced cannot be fully activated, leading to lower photosynthetic rates and potential photo-oxidative damage. Optimal range: Studies show that adequate Mg2+ application can enhance Rubisco activation and stabilize net photosynthetic rates under stress conditions, but the required concentration is specific to the experimental setup. Monitoring is key: The most effective approach in a controlled environment is to monitor the plant's physiological responses e.g., leaf Mg2+ concentration, photosynthetic rate, Rubisco activation state, and adjust the nutrient solution/fertilizer to maintain adequate levels, rather than supplementing a fixed "extra" amount. In practice, this means ensuring that Mg2+ is not a limiting factor in the plant's standard nutrient solution when pushing the limits with high light and CO2. Applying Mg2+ through foliar spray is beneficial to Rubisco regeneration, particularly in alleviating the negative effects of magnesium (Mg) deficiency and high-temperature stress (HTS). While Mg can be leached from soil, within the plant it is considered a mobile nutrient, particularly in the phloem. Foliar-applied Mg is quickly absorbed by the leaves and can be translocate to other plant parts, including new growth and sink organs. Foliar application of: NATURES VERY OWN MgSO4 @ 15.0g L-1 in a spray bottle. Foliar sprays are often recommended as a rapid rescue measure for existing deficiencies or as a supplement during critical growth stages, when demand for Mg is high. Application in the early morning or late evening can improve absorption and prevent leaf burn. The starting point [of creativity] is curiosity: pondering why the default exists in the first place. We’re driven to question defaults when we experience vuja de, the opposite of déjà vu. Déjà vu occurs when we encounter something new, but it feels as if we’ve seen it before. Week 3 (27-11 to 3-12) What's good everyone? We started this week off with removing the 2 bottom shoots. The next day Santa came early 😁 Got 2 new clip fans and the AC5 Power strip from Spider Farmer. The power strip has 5 outlets you can control in the app, they can be turned on based on a time cycle, humidity or temps. It comes with a sensor that monitors light, temperature, and humidity. And a soil sensor that monitors soil moisture (VWC), temperature, and electrical conductivity (EC). It also has a light adapter to connect 2 lights, that can be controlled in the app aswell. The app shows the current VPD, i try to keep this around 1.0. In the middle of the week we topped her aswell. The next day we increased the light intensity from 30% to 35%. LUX: 13.000/13.500 to LUX: 15.000/15.500 At the end of the week it looks like there is a deficiency going on, if anyone has a idea what it could be, please let me know! This week's growing conditions were 17.9°C to 22.4°C with a humidity of 55.5% to 67.6% and watered 2 times with 0.5L. See you next week!

The plant on the right got chopped down the hairs were 90% dark brown while left was fully white last week when it got taken down it had only one day flush. This plant I will flush for a week and see which is better. It has decent size buds all the way to the bottom but this one growing still doesn't have as many crystals as the harvested plant which was definitely cut down way to early 😕 shame it must have forced to finish early from shock when I snapped a main branch clean off. This plant I will flush with plain filtered water for 7 days and even if it doesn't have as much crystals as the other plant, the bud size is 2x-3x the size of the plant that was cut down last week so I hope they will look a lot better size wise after they shrink when they are cut down and dried. I have also noticed some medium sized fan leads turning from green into a beautiful dark purple colour over the last 2-3 days slowly and it's spreading to other leaves the buds on this plant are also purple bits it's hard to see on here but looking sweet so far I have uploaded pic of the frost one which has been drying for a week now

Hello m8 welcome to this journey with me in this diary will have very interesting strains hope u find something useful O.G. Kush Titanium - [ ] 1st week Veg: germinated in substrate lighting very close so it jets medium high humidity after the 3rd day they started sprouting - [ ] 2nd week Veg: this week my ventilator broke down and as the temperature stayed very warm nothing developed much - [ ] 3rd week Veg:fortunately this week i had fixed the ventilation and the temperature has go down a bit allowing the little plants to develop and reinforce - [ ] 4th week:very good developments in this week I already started feeding a bit two times but i didn’t have to…once was enough - [ ] 5th week Veg:this week they were very strong green i only had to water them good and keep the ventilators going no stop .They have good hight already ,but as i have to strains together. I want to transplant them when the hight of the other one have stretched… I’m thinking to transplant next week if not the next one - [ ] 6th week Veg: this week it went great fortunatly i dont have pests that eat my buds i’ve givven a fed once the substrate is very rich already the plants streached very well i will transplant today so be ready m8 i cant wait to show you the progress - [ ] 1st week Fl:they started stretching and looking very healthy just transplanted - [ ] 2nd week Fl this week I’ve been away i had a friend taking care of them they stretching very well i hope that she starts putting energy into the flo - [ ] 3rd week Fl:they are streaching very well ..getting the light very well - [ ] 4th week Fl:there we aree guys the good stage is heree good high hope dosent effect de prod - [ ] 5th week Fl:pumping very good - [ ] 6th week Fl - [ ] 7th week Fl

I watered yesterday with just plain water with a dash of calmag, I am now done feeding her as I am hoping she will be fully mature shortly

Another good week, stretch is full on and probably another week or 2. They all got a topdress with compost and wormicompost, insectfrass, basalt, kelp, epsom, and seed meal to keep the worms happy. All in small doses... less is more :-)

happy with the growth of this plant. its the top performer in my tent in terms of vegetative growth :)ive noticed purple/brown tips on the leaves, and purple leaf edges and stems. if anyone can help and guide me through flowering feel free to give me a comment or private message :) I feel more happy and alive now that ive been caring for these plants the last while. i love watching the progress day to day, listening to music with them and singing to them, they are quickly becoming a really big part of my life and health. over the moon that ive reached the flowering phase! roll on harvest and il update this when im home as my phone is gonna die! :) Update - Day 37 - 29/10/19 Flushed the plant today, runoff ph was 5.95 and ppm was 837. i have to flush to obtain runoff in these pots and i think this is causing problems, especially because im not using RO water. the ppm of my water is 140, and thats what ive been using for my first grows. (il pick up some water from the store soon) so im using 5 gallon pots with pure coco and autoflowers, the flushing to obtain runoff i think is just taking away from precious time in the plants life cycle. it would probably have been easier to grow photos in these pots and veg them out until they are monsters and then flip into flowering. oh well theres always next grow. and still for a first grow im happy with where im at :) watered: 1.8L/4ml Canna A/4ml Canna B/3ml Rhizotonic/3ml Cannazym. ppm 380. this should help with the purpling of the leaves and help flowering :) also needed that flush to get rid of salt buildup! Day 39 - 31/10/19 Happy halloween folks! Wow... Quick one is thriving now, i think ive learned enough to keep the plants in a near optimal setting :) tooks some photos and a video as usual, loving how the plants are developing! anyway this plant has grown about 6cm in 3-4 days, and its the buds getting taller instead of veg growth :) if actually looks like a plant off the 📺 more and more. i think im gonna get between 12-20 grams off this plant :) the flush worked a treat and i think the old nute and salt buildup was stopping it stretching! following cannas feeding schedule slightly for the ratio of nute/water. i learned that:(cocoforcannabis.com) Coco is supposed to be mostly saturated at all times which in turn means less watering to get runoff. now that im in the flowering stage too im watering once every morning at lights on! maybe when i get the tehnique down i can increase to two waterings per day - once at lights on, and once 10 hours later. To sum up this week ive had a lot of stretchy growth ,(flowering) a nice lavender like smell from the plant. a better fertigation schedule and i learned how to make dry ice hash from popcorn and trim :) i tried this in barcelona and it was amazing! super expensive so it will be nice to have my own stash :) Dont forget to check out my videos and my other diaries :) all the best!

I’m so happy that I changed the water and repotted them. The roots were impacted in the cup and it didn’t make the plants happy. Giving the roots space to breathe and grow is a win win for the plants. Remember the roots are the most importance in growing. If the roots aren’t happy the leaves won’t be happy. Grow with love and make sure you check on your plants 2 to 4 times a day. Consistency is the key to a really successful grow!

4 tall plants killed off this week they was growing 3 times slower then the short phenos, start of week 5 and no thc growing on them at all. All the short phenos are doing good start of week 5 and covered in crystal, budlets growing every day. Smells like gdp

Week 5 of veg: repotted into the final 12L pots using a 100% organic soil mix I made myself with dry organic amendments only — no bottled organic products. Watered with compost tea, and bent/trained the plants to shape the canopy for a SOG setup. Everything is going smoothly; we’ll give them another 7–8 days of veg, then flip to flower.

The smell is very good. A good weight if I consider that I have made some mistakes with Calmag.
