This is my first grow. Doing it for fun seeing as it’s legal in Michigan now. I’m not trying to put a lot of money into it, just trying to see what I can do in a small space as a bored stay at home mom lol. It’s an Autoflower. I germinated it using the paper towel method but I also let it soak in water for 24hrs first. As you can see in the pics I put it in the soil after it got a decent root on it, I was scared to let it get to big in the towel. I think I buried it to deep so after a few days I uncovered it. Miracle grow mainly but added a little to top off my 5gal bucket. Natural Well water, regular plant light and then added the regular 100watt cause I knew I needed more. On 24/7. Week 2. (I consider day 1 the day it came out of the soil & wanted light). My pictures are probably a little out of order but should go to day 14. This little thing grew fast! I decided I am not going to top this one. I’m just gonna let it grow. I have two more seeds so we will try it on those. Ps. I take a lot of pictures every time I take pics, so there will probably be a lot of unnecessary pics in every post 😂 Happy Days ✌️
Ok, so this going pretty fast lol. It’s growing over an inch a day! I kinda wish I would have topped it but it is what it is. I’ve been trying to keep notes on the pics to add here later seeing as I am new to this and busy. I’m excited to see the outcome! Wish I had better gear lol 🤷♀️🏼 💨 I started using some regular ol organic plant food. I’ve been moving my light almost every day. The dawn dish soap seemed to help with the fungus knats, but not totally. The towel around the bucket is to keep the light off of the roots, I heard if they see light it’s bad. Considering 11/9/19 day 1, that’s the day it came out of the soil.
Growing like a weed? I’m definitely not a pro but I am taking notes! I added about a cup of dried out egg shells, coffee grounds and banana peels. I read it would take a while to go into the soil enough for the roots to grab it, and with all the pistils showing I thought it was a good time 🤞 I came across some organic bloom boost so I’ll add that next Saturday (week5) or the next (6) depending on how she’s lookin 😊
From day 28 to 35 it slowed down a lot on gaining height, going from 24in to 26. It went from a little bit of signs of flowering to boom out of no where a lot more. I started bloom boost for the first time on morning of day 34, day 35 today I realized the bottle I bought says Orchid bloom boost 😂 🤦♀️🏼 🤷♀️🏼 I have to look for something else probably 😂 It’s fun to watch it change. I sprayed for the fungus knats twice now, just the soil. I recently noticed a lot of shadows as well, so we bought a bigger light and changed our system around a little. I figure if it’s flowering then more light can’t hurt? This is my first grow, although I am familiar with regular plants this Auto flower is all new to me! Any tips and suggestions are welcome! I did not top it or LST it, it seems to be doing so good I wish I would have 🤷♀️🏼 Not sure if I should tie it off now? The top is getting heavy anyway and if I could lean it a little the light would get in there more? The smell is amazing! Super excited to see what happens when it’s all done 🤩 Thanks for reading & any info or opinions are welcome lol
🤦♀️🏼 😩 Day 40 from sprouting from soil. I think I messed up. I got bloom boost last week that I added in my water and fed them like two days in a row, about 3/4gal total. I started a new seed and added more lights & I also removed about 4 leaves from lower plant that seemed to be causing a lot of shade. Now my baby looks like this. Yesterday the leaves were curled up and some of the hairs are turning brown. I gave it a half gallon of plain water yesterday & today. I was hoping it would grow more buds. I also have had a Fungus knat problem pretty bad. I was trying to use that organic spray didn’t work, I heard Dawn dish soap- that didn’t work (not for long) so yesterday I added those white things on top. Basically it’s a mess. I started this not wanting to put a lot of money into it, but it’s fun & interesting! I just wanna get better now lol! I’ll definitely be changing it up next round
Something is definitely wrong. Any tips are welcomed (be gentle lol, I’m not a professional). Nutes or lights if you had to guess? Does anyone grow organic? I’d like to learn more about that. Where do you get your seeds from? Do you like auto flowers? Tips from start to finish?TY
hey there, you have two problems and loads of symptoms. First off the fungus gnats, these are coming because your soil is moist, so what you really need to do is wait one day maybe two days more between waterings, the dry soil will dry out the fungus gnat eggs. Second thing you can do is to add beneficial bacteria, it works and it's organic and bio, you're looking at bauveria bassiana , bacilus subtilis or bacilus thurengiensis (how do you spell that?), these will attack the larvae, eggs, and adults. So organic will work better than anything synthetic in my experience. Second thing is that you added the booster, the booster is a chelation agent, chelation agents break down soil molecules into nutrient molecules for the plant. So actually it's not why your plant is showing deficiencies. So what's actually happening is that your light schedule is too hard for the plant , so the plant is using more magnesium. You need to do two things, add cal mag (keep the boost going!) to your feed and reduce your light schedule to less than 18hours until the problem stops spreading. Do this and the plant should fully recover within ten days. Hope this helps ! 🚀
Day 60 today! It says from harvest to seedling 67 days, but it’s lookin pretty good? The top especially, The bottom seems to be more clear I’ll move a light around and try to get it facing that way. She’s had plain water for the past week. She smells so good! I’m super excited to taste it and see an end weight! 🤩 💨
This was my first grow so I am still in the learning process. This plant grew tall and was strong. I had a huge gnat problem the whole time, but I’m almost sure it was because I used junk soil. I harvested her on day 67 (counting day one as the first day we seen green). I’m pretty sure the lower part of the plant could have used a few more days but all the buds still turned out great! They are all dense, sticky and smell super good! It burns good & clean and resins up a lot. We got an ounce of dry bud, so we are super happy and already have more plants rockin’! I am super excited to keep growing! Thanks for checkin us out 🤩🤩 💨 💨
