Nov. 20 - Week 7 begins. It still clings to life despite occasional neglect. Nov. 27 - This week went really fast. One of my Nikon batteries decided to expand and even got stuck in the camera, lucky for me I have some 3M VHB tape kicking around and after several attempts managed to pull it out. I ordered a couple non Nikon replacements that seem to be doing the trick, and at half the price of the elusive, $90CAD, Nikon EN-EL14a. I really aught to get the dummy battery that plugs into the wall and not muck around with batteries, but again, the Nikon parts are elusive and if found, quite expensive. The little lady continues to surprise me with her determination to live despite repeated under watering.

They are still not too happy with me... Not liking the nutrient strength I choose again.. So after 24hrs of just ph water and 1/4 strength hydroguard. No change I thought they would appreciate just water and a root stimulate. But no change in root or plant mass. Looking like they are very stunted from nutrient burn. So moving forward I went with same strength as the 1st feeding that they liked. But I did it in a hurry before work and realized after the fact that I put that same amount I put before but didn't account for lowering the water level to 3.5 gal from 4gal. So end up being slightly stronger then before. I did add 0.5ml of hydroguard to each bucket. Also added 0.5 of bud candy to each bucket. But hoping they work with me fingers crossed. 4/12/2023 5.8/72°F/221(Left rear) 5.8/72°F/227(Middle front) 5.8/72°F/214(right rear) No sign of transitioning to flower yet. 4/14/23 Colorado Cookies recovered and jumped like a inch looking alot better! Overall Height 3.5" And I noticed that there was some growth in the root zone. But noticed there is something going on with the upper leafs. Runtz Seems to be recovering but still a little rough. Overall Height 2" But I did notice the roots mass did not change and they still appear to have the brown tint and seems to have gotten slightly worse toward the bottom of 6"net basket. I believe that's contributing to the slow recovery. Still looking alot better tho. Banana Purple Punch seems to have bearly changed at all. There's very slight growth in center. No change to root mass at all. Overall Height 1.5" Found some very helpful information on measuring EC instead of ppm and how to monitor EC and Ph. So will be doing this moving forward. I'm going to redo Banana's bucket to exactly what I gave the 1st time she was happy but this time accounting for the .5 gal change in water level. I'm also looking into if I can use the hydroguard at full strength on nutrient burned autos since its not a nutrient for the plant. But I need to fight the brown roots in runtz tonight. See if I can't get all three happy! And save this grow to a more acceptable outcome. Stats 4/14/2023 6.25Ph/72°F/222ppm(runtz) 6.33Ph/72°F/218ppm(banana) 6.28Ph/72°F/215ppm Cookies I added 1ml total hydroguard to all and added .05 total calmag to all and ph to 5.8 4/15 I changed the water on all buckets. raised the water level back to 4 gal on Banana since it has the smallest root mass. And put full strength hydroguard and full strength rapid start in all buckets amd ph to 5.8 and left it for 24 hrs. I made a floral spray of armor si at 0.33ml to full spray bottle. Wet em down good. Twice today. 4/16 I noticed Banana's leaf tips began to droup a little. So lowered water back to 3.5 gal and mixed the nutrients for 3 gal to be safe and leave ppm for cal mag and bud candy without nutrient burn. Added 0.5 cal mag and 0.5 bud candy. I trimmed all the burned leaf tips off, so I can see if and when it burns again. And since it was the best my test has looked yet I took a video and some pictures. But still need to figure out whats going on with Colorado cookies. Has spotty yellowing. Thought maybe light burn. So checked and raised like a inch or so. But there leafs below that are almost fully yellow. Like nutrient deficiency. Trying to read her but not getting it yet. gavw them a spray of armor si. 4/17 ph to 5.8 bucket stats. During this 3 hrs I turned both fans off and made a foliar spray with 0.30 ml gh flora trio and 0.25 cal mag and sprayed them down and turned the light off for 3 hrs. So after the 3 hrs peroxide treatment. I changed water out with fresh water and did my nutrient differently. I got the EC of my tap water whixh was between 0.19 and 0.23 between the buckets. Then I added cal mag to 0.5EC And added nutrients base and additions to a EC of 1.0. Then I added 4ml hydroguard to 3.5gal. Plants loved their new home from last week.....the crown of one plant got broken off while I was deal with something else....so instead of trying to fix it or throw it out I decided to put it into a pot.....to my surprise 5 mins after doing that I realize it started to straighten up from the training of the tree it broke from....thinking it would be like that for a while until it pushes root.....woke up to find it fully straight and buds got fatter......hope it is a success would be first clone...#happy growing

To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. This grow quickly became a mammoth watering session due to the amount of plants - Had to harvest earlier due to issues with the location in which it was grown in. Overall a good crop I think - the OG Kush grow alot taller than the widow and with dense buds - I am looking forward to seeing the end weight once all is dry.

09/26/2021 Starting week #7 of flower still picking caterpillar, and eggs of leaves, not to serious as we are on top of it. Starting the week with banana peel tea drench 2 gallons per girl, which is all she will get besides water till harvest. Still small flushes of pistils coming out I believe she (Hulk) is in final stage of flower (4) lots of orange hairs (pistils) but fresh one coming out daily albeit slower. Hopefully she fatting up in coming weeks. 09/28/2021 Week7 Day #3 Definitely seeing more calyx swelling. #1 is chunking up nicely #2 looks good little bud rot were caused from cattipillar poop! #3 coming from behind Will be last to harvest for sure.

This update was made Day 58 from seed. I just now realized I've had my day count offset by about 2-3 days. No biggie, at least it's been rectified. Anyways, onto the update. Beautiful deep purple tones have begun peeking throughout the plant. Similar to my lemon berry but with more of a magenta hue. Feedings have been rather frequent. 2-3 nute feedings last week. With XSD. For the rest of the grow, XSD will be omitted. Just molasses and Liquid Seaweed from here on out. Absolutely love the development of this photo period variety. I'll probably give this strain a rest for the next journal, however. Still need to spread my wings with Ethos' catalogue.

*Increased ppm from 1050 to 1100. *seems like this might be a 9 week strain or maybe 10. *not a lot of resin production, but flower stacking is long on this one.
