🌱 Animal Mints — Week 6 From Seed (≈ Week 2 Flower / Pre-Flower Phase) Quick Recap for New Readers This run includes multiple Animal Mints plants, all treated similarly, but we’re mainly cataloging two reference plants to clearly show how timing affects structure and development: • Plant A → 12/12 from seed • Plant B → ~15 days under 16/8 veg, then flipped to flower Same genetics, same room, same feeding — different timelines. That’s the whole experiment. ⸻ Plant A vs Plant B — Why Two Plants? • Plant A (12/12 from seed) • More compact • Slower early structure • Responds very well to gentle leaf bending and light training • Still stretching and stacking nicely • Plant B (short veg period) • Bigger frame • More developed branching • Further along in flower at the same “seed age” • Took light cleanup / lollipopping better This small veg window made a huge difference in structure and flower progression, and that’s exactly why we’re documenting both. ⸻ ✂️ Canopy Work (No Heavy Defoliation) This week we did selective leaf removal, not a true defoliation: • Opened airflow and light paths • Removed shaded or blocking leaves • Light lollipopping on Plant B only • Plant A kept mostly intact, just leaf bending and spacing Goal wasn’t stress — it was space, airflow, and efficiency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day Temp: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height & position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around 909 ppm) As outside temps stayed cooler, the room naturally became its own heat source: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Under-canopy lighting added No forced heaters. No extremes. Just letting the system balance itself. 🌬️ Airflow • Vortex extraction • Multiple cross-flow fans • Constant gentle movement No leaf chaos — just steady motion. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks a clear transition phase. • EC: ~2.4 • pH: 6.5 (transitioning down — all feeds now 6.0+) Why Higher pH Right Now? As plants move into flower, nutrient demand shifts: • Better Ca / Mg uptake • Stronger phosphorus & potassium availability • Root activity increases Slightly higher pH at this stage supports structural growth and flower formation, especially under higher light and CO₂. Amazing plant! Easy breezy 8) All around "no hassle" genetic! Hashy orangey/apricot terpes!

Habe mich hier gerade registriert, weswegen ich dieses Diary erst ab der 10. Woche anfange. Kurz zur Erklärung: Wir hatten eine Tangerine Dream Auto von Barney's Farm im 3L-Topf mit einer Habibi-LED-Lampe von Crescience. - Allerdings ohne Zelt, da wir uns das Leben einer Cannabispflanze als totale Newbees mal anschauen wollten. Sie wuchs zierlich (wurde aber auch schon über 50 cm groß) und brachte kleinere aber schöne Blüten. Allerdings war sie durch unsere Ahnungslosigkeit und meine Ernährungsfehler so gestresst, dass sie gezwittert ist und sich sogar selbst bestäubt hat. Die Pflanze, um die es in diesem Diary geht, ist ein Samen von ihr ( - also kein "echter" BF-Strain). Mittlerweile ist sie ab Erdboden 175 cm groß mit einer 35 cm langen Kola auf dem Haupttrieb. Eine echte Long Tall Sally. Das "Zelt" ist eine Improvisation aus einem Gitterregal mit nur noch einem Boden, an dem die Lampe hängt, und einem darüber geworfenem Grow-Zelt. Da das Prachtstück aber mit Topf knapp 2 m hoch ist, steht das Gitterregal zusätzlich noch auf vier gleich dicken Büchern. ;-) Am Anfang machte ich ihr gleich Stress, da ich sie zu spät umtopfte. Fette Ringwurzeln im kleinen Anzuchttopf waren die Konsequenz. Nachdem ich die etwas zerissen hatte, damit sie aus dem Teufelskreis wieder raus kommt, dauerte das Warten 3 lange Tage. Aber dann ging's los - als ob nichts passiert wäre. Ich füttere die Pflanze locker und etwas schwächer nach dem Feeding-Plan von Crazy Hills (aktuell WK 5 der Blüte). Die einzige Ausnahme ist, dass ich jedem Gießwasser der Pflanze - von der Wiege bis zur Bahre - als Prophylaxe CalMag hinzufüge. Ich habe zuviel gelesen und gehört, was Growen unter LED angeht. Sie scheint es zu mögen, zumindest sagen die Blätter nichts Gegenteiliges. :-)

@FAST_BUDS, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. Kl 12.00. Week 4 starts. I have cleaned the whole room for the new week and gave the girls water and nutes. Added videos and pics. Girl nr 1 is 27 cm high and girl nr 2 is 22 cm high. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-09-12. Kl 10.00. New pics and video. Girl Nr1 has grown 5 cm in 23 hours, from 27 to 32 cm.😍 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-09-13. Kl 22.00. Everything is looking great in the garden right now. Added new video. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-09-15. KL 10.00. New video added. Girls are looking great and they got 3 liters of water and nutes this morning. Girl Nr 1 is 38 cm high and Nr 2 is 28. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-09-16. Kl 10.00. The girls grow like crazy, i have to defoliate about 20 leafs a day. Added 2 liters of water and nutes this morning and 2 new videos. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2017-09-17. This is the last day of week 4. Added a time laps from germ to week 4.

This grow is looking phenomenal. Can’t wait to wash for rosin! Freezing as of now update: test run of bubble this shit is fucing crazy gas. So pungent and full of flavor. Tried some wet Melt in the Puffco it hits like crazy. Great effects and gas flavor. Will be pressing asap update did a 2nd wash tonight of all the trim from plant 3. I’d say 600 wet grams. Yielded great and awesome color

Sugar Rock - Silent Seeds ft. Cookies Week 5 Bloom 🌸 She has bulked a good amount, but her trichome development has been impressive, she's super frosty and her fragrance has exploded too!! She smells just like candy heavy cereal milk - so she's definitely leaning more into her Cookies heritage! Temperatures, as we all know, have been crazy this year - it's still in the high 20s here, so it has been difficult managing the VPD in the tent; but the girls seem to be doing just fine ( I'm expecting the % to not be amazing; which is okay for me ) - but other than that, every is going great! ✂️ I've removed some of her flower budsites and fan leaves that were just too far behind, and I've removed a couple of her sugar leaves to improve light penetration to the top budsites. 💧 Watered every three days with 3L of RO water - nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH'd to 6.3. I've altered her nutrients to meet her demains for week 5-6 of bloom 👌🏻 💡 PPFD: ~900 ♒ VPD: 1.58kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 68 🌸 Days in Bloom: 40

Over all was an amazing grow, super sticky dense nugs with smell of berries, highly recommended for everyone!!

The ladies are thriving, flipped to 12/12 today, put in week 1 of flower nuts and after 1 week of that.. I will put in my flower spectrum light for maximum results.

Ready to flip soon! Using 6.9 Autopots for this run. I think a smaller pot would have been just as cool for this 4x4. These plants are trees.

So all the plants are topped twice now and have all took well , my next step will be lowering my scrog net into position and also attach some gutter for collecting my runoff

Days 23-29 (12-18 Oct), first week of flower. 12 Oct (day 23): first white pistils, so flowering has started. 2 L plain water. Clipped the outer branches about half a hand span below the main stem. 14 Oct: flowering well under way. 15 Oct: 2 L with 2 ml/L Bio-Bloom + 1 ml/L Bio-Grow. Bent every stem down again, main stems too. 17 Oct: light at 75 %, 30-40 cm above the tops. 18 Oct: lightly lollipopped the lower growth and bent the main stem down. Light to 70 % at 40 cm. Evening: 2.5 L with 2 ml/L Bio-Bloom + 1 ml/L Bio-Grow. Climate from the hourly sensor: 23.6 °C and 66 % with lights on, 21.1 °C and 72 % in the 4 h dark period. Canopy cover of its spot went from 60.6 % to 72.3 % in three days.

10/6: She's doubling in size every day now, so.. me thinks she'll be a real specimen. 10/7: She continues to impress! I installed my new AC Infinity 6" fan in the attic and hooked up a 16" carbon filter today. I used some sound deadening foam on the rafter that I mounted it to and removed 100% of the vibration. I haven't programmed the thermo/hygro stuff yet, but tested it on high and I can't hear a thing anywhere in the structure.👍 I'm also purchasing a dual 120mm fan system from AC Infinity in the door, behind the grille I already installed to serve as fresh air intake. It also has a thermostat feature that will allow me to set it to only come on when the temps are too high, so I'm optimistic that it will allow me to manage the temperatures in this closet with about 1000w running for 18-20 hours a day.🙏 I moved the 200w 3500k+660nm to the top section today and lowered my QB frame to 32" above the plants. I have two pairs of them running now(480w), and received the replacement HLG 240-48A driver today for the third pair. I'll hook it up later..dont need it now.. 10/8: I fed her today for the first time...about 16 oz of solution containing grow big, big bloom, kelp me kelp you, boomerang, and armor si. I hooked up the 3rd pair of qb's today....wow that's bright....she's gonna love it!😎 10/9: She experienced her first night time today...4 hours, from midnight to 4am..at approx 72f and 50% RH. 10/10: I sprayed her with Axiom today and gave her a few ounces of spring water. 10/11: I sprayed her with Boom Boom spray right before dark and also started brewing some compost tea today. 10/12: I just gave her a little spring water today because she's getting douched with compost tea tomorrow. I wish I had some additional blue light to dose her with to get her branching better, but she's doing okay I guess. Since I've overplanted the space, I'm not gonna have much elbow room for her anyway.
